“I had such a great experience at Shawarma BBQ Express! From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming, friendly, and genuinely attentive. The service was quick, but you can tell they don’t rush the quality of the food.

The shawarma was absolutely delicious—perfectly seasoned, juicy, and packed with flavor. The meats were tender, the portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh. The sides were incredible and really took the meal to the next level.

What I loved most is the consistency—you can tell they take pride in what they serve. The place was clean, organized, and had a great atmosphere overall.

Definitely one of the best spots for shawarma and BBQ. I’ll be coming back again and again!

“I had a wonderful experience at Roots Indian Bistro. I reached quite late, even after closing hours, but the staff still welcomed and accommodated me so warmly without making me feel rushed at all.

The food was excellent, and to top it off, they even served complimentary kheer, which was such a thoughtful gesture. What stood out the most to me, though, was the hospitality. The staff was genuinely kind and attentive, and one of the owners personally came over to check if everything was good and whether I was enjoying the meal.

Good food is memorable, but genuine hospitality is what truly makes a place special — and Roots absolutely excelled at that. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for not just great Indian food, but also an incredibly warm dining experience.“

“Went to this place randomly for a late lunch, place was completely empty when we went there. I was curious cause I’ve never had Uzbek food before. It prolly is a family run business, the gentleman who took our order seemed like the one who was preparing the food as well. I like this kind of mom and pop places.

We ordered a beef noodle bowl and a lamb kabab kinda platter: the bowl was really tasty after adding a little bit of lemon juice, before that it felt like sth was missing. The lamb was so damn good ! And after the meal we ordered some “milk tea” that wasn’t on the menu and we were skeptical at first glance but were pleasantly surprised after taking the first sip. It was really refreshing :)“

“Everything was great but the music. They only played Country music— it was really confusing. I understand in Brazil country music is very popular but that is discounting that there really isn’t an established market for country music in Brazil (or at the very least not as established as here in the U.S.) while I can appreciate the cultural difference in playing only country music I think some contextual awareness would go a long way. If I’m coming to a BRAZILIAN steakhouse at the Beverly Center, some Brazilian music is would be far more appreciated than Country music. Not to dismiss the cultural significance this music may have in Brazil, but if I want to hear Country music I can find that easily. I think the bar/restaurant would really benefit from playing music that immerses LA natives (who often have little exposure to Brazilian music) in the music of Brazil than any benefit that can be derived from a Brazilian Restaurant playing Country music.“

“The food was absolutely insane - everything was amazing. Standouts were the gobi manchurian and ofc the tikka masala burrito. Hollywood doesn’t have many good restaurants but this is so special. The service was also so kind, can’t wait to be back!“

“I dined in around 6pm on a Saturday and it was perfect. It’s a small place with a relaxed vibe. The place was empty when I arrived but quickly filled up while I ate my food. I got the garlic naan, the sag paneer, butter chicken and rice. Everything was so delicious and flavorful. The butter chicken was my favorite - incredible spices and I could tell it was cooked on the grill (my favorite cook). The service was fantastic - both servers were so nice and the owner even came to greet us and make sure everything was ok. I would absolutely come back and recommend to a friend.“

“I was first introduced to Nashville-style hot chicken at Hattie B's in Nashville. Although I've never found anything quite like it here in Los Angeles (Hattie B's chicken serves bone-in whole pieces, marinated through), I'm addicted to Dave's, and love the Extra Hot! (I'll stay away from Reaper...I don't need to try something that requires a signed waiver!)

My go-to is the #4, and their fries are great too. The extra pickles they include are a really nice touch, and the sauce is a the perfect alternate to ketchup, and really goes with the chicken.

The staff is always friendly and helpful, and I can order at the counter, at a touch-screen kiosk, or on my app. The app has kind of become the easiest option for me now that I've gotten the hang of reordering my usual. I try to limit my fried, fast-food meals, but Dave's is usually my first thought when I'm in the mood to indulge in that kind of treat. If you like spice, it's a must-try!“

“I'm at a loss for words, but I'll try my best. Food? Amazing! Perfect amount of seasoning and the portions are huge! And this is coming from a big dude. For the appetizers, my favorites were the Kashk E'bademjan (Eggplant Delight), Potato Salad, and the Hummus! They have more selections, but this is what I was able to try. I hear all are great! For the Entrees, ALL OF THEIR KABOBS ARE FIRE (MMM MMMM YUMMY). I had a sample of most them and in the islands, we would say "broke da mouf kine", which translates to, the food is *beep beep* GOOD! If you've never had Persian Food, or you love it, this is the restaurant for you! Drinks? I love Korean Soju and Cass beer, so yeah, +10 points from me. They do carry various Wines and Beers though...and of course your choice of Soda Pop. Atmosphere? It' gives you a Kewl Kids Vibe; a classy place where you can be yourself with family and friends and just enjoy each others company. You have your choice of Indoor and Outdoor dinning which is amazing. There's also a private room upstairs that can hold 20 people for a meal and karaoke (there is a fee to reserve, but very much worth it). Staff? We were greeted at the door as if we were coming home. Pasha and his staff go above and beyond to make sure all your needs are met. Their suggestions on meal and drink pairings are spot on. I can't thank Pasha and the crew for making our group outing a success. Overall? I'll be going back and I hope that you add this restaurant to your list of 'go to' places to dine at. You will not be disappointed, I promise you. (Unless your attitude stinks or you're not willing to try new food ‍) Pasha again, thank you so much for the hospitality. “I had a delightful Iranian breakfast at Cafe de Alley in Los Angeles. The owner is a very friendly gentleman who made my experience truly special. The food was excellent, and I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of my visit. I highly recommend this cafe and will definitely be returning!“

“This is honestly the best brisket sandwich and burger I have ever had IN MY LIFE!!! And I have had a lot of both! The brisket has more of a pulled pork consistency and it is unreal with that in house slaw and potato bun. Smash style burgers are also my top fave kind of burger and they do it exactly how I would dream of it being done. They are also not your usual slider size. These are the size of a kids meal burger (so to me- that’s normal sized). Not some giant sand which but the perfect size. I would normally be content with just one of these sandwiches but I did the combo so one brisket and one burger and I could not stop eating either one even after the meat sweats set in! I got the fries with no cheese and they were great. So happy to have found this place! Speaking of place: there are no signs. Its inside of urban skillet and there are no signs or menus up in there either so feels like an underground magic spot. I feel like I’m in the know now. Thank you! (Next time I’ll take pics.)“
