“Came here after work and this place is a little hidden gem! It's located in a small strip mall with random shops next to it, so it's very unassuming. I came in and was greeted by the staff. They quickly took my order for takeout and was told it would be about 20 mins. Food was ready by the time I came back and it smelled amazing. I got the mixed lule kebab plate and it had a beef and chicken lule over rice. Sides of salad, hummus, , pita bread, and veggies (separate in a bag). Flavor was on point, however the lule was slightly on the drier side but not terrible. For the price, it hit the spot. It was a huge portion and I ended up having a small portion of leftovers the next day. Not sure how it compares to other Mediterranean restaurants in the area, but it wasn't bad.“

“Had my first taste of Afghan cuisine here. The restaurant offered all the classic dishes and it all tasted amazingly. The service was great, the food came out quickly and hot and I keep thinking about how good it all was. We tried the sabzi, mantu, aushak, kabuli pulao and bolani. Highlight was definitely the lamb in the kabuli pulao -- it was tender and cooked perfectly. My only wish was that the restaurant was nearer to where I live! One other thing to note is that the menu did NOT have any of the Afghan items listed. The staff said they're getting new menus printed soon with the full menu.“

That's happened in the past but arrived and they were open. So I guess you will not know if they are open or not during those times.“

“I'm just going to start off with if you don't eat pizza go anyway just for the atmosphere. Today I had the pleasure of dining at 786° pizza. The food was simply outstanding. The crust was perfectly crispy. The cheese was gooey and flavorful and the toppings were fresh and delicious but what really set the pizza place apart was the incredible hospitality of the people who worked there chef Mari chef Chris and chef Lesli. from the moment we walked in we were greeted with warm, smiles and friendly conversation. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and that our dining experience was exceptional. I cannot say enough good things about this pizza place. The food was exceptional. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the staff are some of the most hospitable people I've ever encountered. chef Mari chef Chris and Leslie made our experience one of a kind. “I contacted Misah regarding catering for my birthday party for 30 people. From the very start, Misah and his staff were polite, professional, and friendly. My wife took me to the restaurant for lunch to sample the food a couple of days before the party. Misah was very nice in person as well. The food was freshly prepared and very delicious. All the sides were good as well; the lentil soup, cucumber yogurt, and hummus. He offered us free desserts to sample. Their homemade baklava is so good. When they prepare your catering order, they cook the kabob close to your pickup time so that it is hot and fresh when you get home. They use very good quality containers for transporting the food. Our party guests loved the food so much that we barely had any leftovers for the next day. We will definitely eat at Chelo in the future. It is a small hidden gem in Van Nuys.“

“I randomly walked in after my eyebrow appointment and was pleasantly surprised!! I placed an order for takeout for one and it took a little longer than expected. Before I could ask for an eta, they came up to me on their own and explained what happened and gave me the most amazing tea and dessert while I waited for my food. My wife ordered a falafel sandwich combo, and I had the lamb gyro plate over rice with a salad... Looks are very deceiving... This very unassuming place, tucked next to a DelTaco.... prepared an unbelievable meal!! The falafel sandwich was huge!! and delicious!! and the gyro, rice cooked perfect... meat very tasty... “My go-to for takeout, but there is an inviting dine-in area with enough space for a few tables. The customer service is consistently swift; my phone orders are ready upon my arrival. The pricing is appropriate, offering generous portions. My usual half-and-half combo (chicken and beef) includes rice, hummus, pita bread, and a refreshing salad. Although I tend to forget to swap the salad for fries, another diner had them on their plate and they looked so yummy. Every element is expertly seasoned, resulting in consistency.“

“Went to this Friday after finding them on yelp for fresh halal meat and I have to say they sell quality meat at competitive price. Owner spoke to me almost 10 minutes and asked me how I like the cut and told me his meat is top quality.
