“Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and Amanda saw to it that we had a wonderful experience. She was so welcoming and helpful. Many places have incredible drinks but if the service doesn't match, who knows if you'll remember it a few months down the road. The service is what makes people come back! She nailed it.The cocktails were delicious as well, we are familiar with the craft cocktail scene and these drinks were on point and an awesome price! “We went on Saturday night around 9pm, cocktails were outstanding!! Delicious and balanced! Great prices and there were 2 people attending the whole place but it was not too crowded, we ordered fries with steak and the meat was very soft, we'll definitely come back , lots of street parking!“

The sole reason I'm deducting a star is for the total lack of non-meat dinner options. I made an exception and had a salmon caesar salad that was very delicious, but I so wish they'd throw a vegetarian a proverbial bone. It certainly won't stop me from coming back for a classy drink, but it would make it a hell of a lot easier for me to stick around after I've finished it.“
“Only went for drinks the few times I've been there, so I can't rate the food. The drinks I've had have been very good. The bartenders have been very personable. I was talking with one (his name was Angel) about how I dislike Manhattan's. He made me one and I really liked it. I was very impressed.I was also there for a Makers Mark tasting. Oak & Vine has 2 Private Selections. Both are very good, but personally, the second one they made was the better of the two. If you like bourbon give them a try.“

“Love their newly renovated space with an upgraded menu and full bar. Beautiful spot to hang out and have good food, drinks and hookah. Great to share appetizers. Everything was delicious! Minus 1 star because the service was very slow. Towards the end we had to ask for our bill 4 times with 4 different staff because our server did not come around. Easy parking in their private lot or on the street. I'd like to try their brunch!“
“We went to a local event that wasn't great, so we had to look for another place to spend the night. And it was here! The bartenders are SO nice! They worked with us to make cocktails that were featured on the website but not quite in season yet. There's no kitchen for food, but you're allowed to bring take-out inside, and they recommended a local pizza place that delivers late in the night. Also that night the DJ was amazing!!! We were on the dance floor until our feet hurt (and we needed some Pizza). His ig is wrld.hero if you want to check what nights he's there! Would highly recommend ending (or starting???) Your night here if you're in the area! Good vibes all around.“

Gabe was working and he's a great bartender, always really friendly and makes great drinks! No fuss, just great service and nice and small with a pool table.“
“Went there after work, their happy hour is good. Buy one get one free with tap beers. Blue moon, Hazy IPA and Estrella Jalisco (If you’re Mexican like me) lol. Wings were good, lemon pepper is better than buffalo here. Thanks to our server Eric, got us everything we needed, even water! Haha. Good shot selection too, took one before leaving. Overall good spot to go to, during happy hour at least. Wouldn’t know the atmosphere during the night. Small parking in the back, if you’re lucky like me you’ll find a spot. If not public parking is available at the front of the tavern or a block behind it. Will return when I’m working in the area!“
“Fantastic Sushi and Sashimi! I visited Japan in June where, of course, it doesn't get any better. The plates here took me back! The fish was fresh, delicate and handled with alot of love. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and everyone was very welcoming and hospitable. Great date Night option.“

I've eaten at many Bar Verde locations and they all have consistently delicious food, a nice atmosphere, and a great place for lunch or dinner...especially after shopping ☺️. “We showed up the Saturday after Valentines. We let my girlfriend’s 13 year old son pick a restaurant for our Valentines dinner because we wanted to avoid the crowd on Feb14. He searched for unique restaurants and we actually showed up a few doors down at another establishment that looked closed. Then we spotted Chess Park Lounge. It looked vibrant and he loves chess so we walked in. We were immediately seated just outside the bar area. The interior is beautiful with a slight industrial and yet rich atmosphere. It is an Armenian themed menu I think? So it was unique and different. We ordered a starter of Truffle Dip that sounded familiar and a few drinks. The server brought us our starter but it looked completely different from what we ordered and expected. We assumed it was correct and was just their version of what we had ordered. It was delicious. It was a unique flavored dip made of eggs, tomatoes and who knows what Armenian spices but it was incredibly good. When the server returned I asked what it was and she admitted she brought an entree to us that was supposed to be for another table. Her mistake, our delight. It was so different, odd but but very tasty. At that point I joked and said “I guess just bring me something good for my entree, you can pick it”. So she did. I had the Braised Short Rib. My Girlfriend had the Grilled Bass of some sort and her son had the steak frites. My plate was the best cut of meat I have had in years. It was on par, taste wise, as A5 Wagyu at Gordon Ramsey Steak. It was delicious, tender, seasoned perfectly and a tremendous surprise. We all enjoyed our experience and for desert they played chess at the table. We will definitely return. They had a few hiccups but we are seasoned travelers and we don’t get too uptight with mistakes or shortfalls. Overall this restaurant was awesome and it should be tried if you are in the area.“
“We were shopping in the neighborhood and thought we'd try this "wine bar" for dinner. The food was good but not excellent. We ended up with the seafood pasta and Branzino with a shared amici salad starter and a crème brûlée dessert. My personal highlight was a Purple Haze cocktail. I felt the need to comment because though the service was earnest and they did make things right by comping one entree, so many mix-ups occurred. My first enter came out wrong and then I was told It was not detailed correctly on the menu. I finally got a second - albeit free- dinner after my dinner partner had finished their's. Our coffee order was also wrong and came way before our dessert despite being offered simultaneous service by your server. Like I said, I walked away happy. I just believe it could have gone another way...“
“Our first time to this beautiful restaurant . We tried the tasting menu! WOW was it amazing. Loved learning about the wines. Had the featured drink of the week by Finn. loved it. It was garnished with a petite flower. My only regret is I got full and couldn't eat it all. Thank you to Matt our server for a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back. The lobster pie was so creamy and delicious. The steak was so flavorful and tender.“
