John Sparr Tavern has high quality delicious food. They never disappoint. Everyone who works there is wonderful and the atmosphere is beautiful. it is our go to restaurant....every week.
Visited here for the first time and I must say the food was great overall (ribs were a bit iffy but still ok), but they were out of Fried Mac N' Cheese (that was not how it was supposed to be). Biggest mystery is why were there two chairs in the elevator? There's only two floors in the building (2nd floor was for the restrooms) and by the time you sit in the chairs you have reached the opposite floor already. The chairs in the elevator need to go.

The food is excellent, and the service is fantastic, providing a really good all-around experience. While not the cheapest option, the quality and atmosphere make it feel worth the price, with entrees around $50 and cocktails around $14. A dinner for two, including pre-dinner cocktails, no wine with dinner, and an after-dinner Cognac, can cost around $200 after tip.
