“Great spot to watch a game or event. The drinks are strong and the atmosphere is friendly and upbeat. Everyone is welcome here. When it's really busy, drinks and food can take some time to arrive, but their system is much better now than it used to be.
The only drawback is the food menu is really hard to navigate if you have allergies or dietary restrictions.“

“The Palm and the Pine is one of my favorite bars in Los Angeles. From the moment I first walked in I was welcomed with open arms. EVERYONE is so friendly and the vibe is always great. And they have a great happy hour that lasts until 8pm. I love all the bartenders but my favorites are Ben and Jose. They are always SO incredibly attentive, gracious and full of personality. The type of bartenders that give you a glass of water even when you didn’t ask. This is definitely my “Cheers” bar here in Hollywood. And when there are big games on it’s ALWAYS a great time!“

“I had an event hosted with 33 taps for an employee resource group “pride happy hour” for my company, and worked with Libney & Zach as the points of contact and a server named Alex who were all so accommodating and sweet.

The food and drinks were amazing! World Cup was playing in the ackgeound sinve it’s a sports bar. I highly recommend the salmon bowl if you’re coming by yourself or the tacos and quesadillas for group gatherings.

“One of the best meals in LA hands down. Get the rigatoni, fusilli, onion rings and garlic bread. Unbelievable depth of flavor, complexity but also richness and lusciousness. Good for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Service is friendly, place is vibey. Just go already!“

“A go-to small bar to watch any major event. I live down the street and this spot has cemented itself as a staple of the community for such events. Staff are friendly, 3 restrooms, plus separate stalls for men, the place is constantly being watched for empty beer bottles/trash. I've enjoyed my visits here ☺

The outdoor area is covered by a huge tree that gives plenty of shade. On top of that, the place isn't noisy unless it's a weekend night.“

“I was looking for a sports bar to watch the fifa game. This is my first time here and I literally took one bite of the gunpowder fries and buffalo chicken strips and was like I need to do a review stat! The ranch and blue cheese are phenomenal and I found out house made. You can choose how you want your strips and I chose to have them tossed in the buffalo which tastes amazingly. I think the other extremely important part of this is how wonderful the staff/team is here! Ash and Bear really care and go above and beyond which is rare nowadays. I will definitely make this my sports bar and bring more people here to enjoy the great food and experience!“

They serve generous pours and the pizzas are relatively large pies for the price. We typically order the white pizza with the mushrooms. It's fantastic. They also have a great happy hour!!“

“This is one of the best spots in Atwater Village. The owner is so welcoming. Service is top notch. The food is great! “UBG is the best place for great food and drinks and the best music scene around town. The owner Greg and the entire staff are awesome. It is homey but also Hollywood flavor! So many great events here. Any day of the week you can be sure to find something cool happening here. My band Bonnie Brae has made it a home away from home and just LIVE it here. So much great live music and variety! Comedy-jams-original music-you name it it all happens here.“

What I liked most is that the place feels relaxed and comfortable. It does not have that aggressive energy some bars have, and it definitely does not feel like the kind of place where people are looking for trouble. The atmosphere inside feels warm and friendly.

The main downside for me was the music. It would be much better if the DJ played something that matched the actual mood of the place. When there are only two or three tables occupied, the music is still blasting as if the place is packed and everyone is waiting for a huge drop. That feels a bit out of sync with the otherwise chill and enjoyable atmosphere.

Overall, it is a nice place with a lot going for it, but the music choice and volume could really make the experience much better.“
