“It's been many years since I had been here since I moved out of area. I visited yesterday for my birthday and was pleasantly surprised restrant had been remodeled looks crisp and clean. Service was great. They served us Bread rolls that are addicting with creamy butter . Food was just as tasty as I remember. I started with fried calamari it was very tender and beautiful crispy crunch. A must try for sure! We had Loma saltado and shrimp saltado flavors were pleasing to my taste buds. We also ordered Garlic shrimp plate . The shrimp was large and plenty . Flavorful . They all came with a side of yummy rice.we were to full for dessert but i'm hoping to pace myself next time so I can try one.I recommend this place.“

“We had fantastic time at Lola's. Food was amazing and portions are vere generous. We were there on Friday night ans it was packed. Live music was a total hit so after delicious dinner even did some dancing. By far one of the best looking peruvian restaurants. If there was anything to be desired it was hot outside and couple of their ac units were not functioning so it was a bit hot inside but ambience and food and service made up for it. We will gladly come back.“

“My only complaint was it was hard to speak to others at the table because the music was loud. The owner is a very sweet guy who comes to your table and gives new people samples of their drinks and popular Peruvian ice cream .He proudly explains the popular dishes and their Peruvian ingredients. The staff, owner and food made this restaurant so classy! The homemade food was not only delicious but special. The owner gets his ingredients from and that are grown in Peru. It was fun to eat food with ingredients that is new and tasted sooo good! It was such a treat. The Peruvian ice cream made from Locuma fruit is actually nutritious! The chicha morada drink also is different and beneficial.
I'm coming back for my son's birthday! You can't go wrong with this wonderful restaurant!!!“

“I love a lomo saltado and having the option to do a casual and quick walk in, order and eat it in bowl format is a really simple and smart idea. First off, the taste for me is 100. The lime ranch sauce is my favorite. They keep it simple but not the flavor. I discovered this place on instagram but never go to this area so I made a special trip one day a few weeks ago, then the next day our office ordered it for delivery and everyone loved it and then last week I brought my picky teen and she gave it the thumbs up. I have not tried anything else yet but the burritos look good and I should probably try the chicken pero I love beef. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.“

“A top restaurant in LA for me. Hummingbird has some of the most creative and delicious handrolls and crostatas I’ve ever tasted. Their food will make Peruvian folks excited to see something familiar and those unfamiliar very curious. The service is laid back and easygoing — I’ve always been impressed with how quick the food came out. I’ll never get over the wonderful atmosphere, purple corn tea, and orange salmon handroll. “This place exceeded my expectations. I just picked the first Peruvian restaurant in the area because I was craving this type of food and I went thinking it was just a little place with ok food. The ambience is cozy and the food was excellent. All the servers were attentive and quick to take our orders and bring food. My only complaint is that they are too far away from me so I wont be able to come often but if I do, I know is worth the hour drive!! This place is 5 out of 5 . I definetly recommend the ceviche B69 and Chiquitos Serranos“

“Rikas Peruvian restaurant is like the 5th or 6th Peruvian restaurant I've been to in LA. It's interesting because it's located in Koreatown. But this little Peruvian restaurant packs a bunch. I enjoyed it a lot. It's like classic Peruvian comfort food. If you guys haven't tried their ceviche mixto, it is a must try. It's probably the best Peruvian ceviche I'd had in LA. Nice fresh raw fish, and the sourness to the juice was just about right. Their chaufa pollo, or chicken fried rice, was also another knockout. It's safe to say that this is the best fried rice I've had outside of any Asian restaurant. Haha. Their lomo saltado was also pretty solid. Great sauce, fries, and steak. In all, I would highly recommend Rikas if you are in town. It is one of the best Peruvian restaurants in the area. You'll feel so great after eating the food here. “Got the lomo saltado and tallarin Verde. Tallarin was ok but the lomo was good. I give it a 7/10, the food was hot and fresh. This is a very small spot, so u might have to take it to go. The lady that served us was very nice and polite, loved the service.“

Perfectly seasoned lomo saltado with tender beef, fries soaking up that savory sauce, and fluffy rice on the side. Bright, fresh ají verde that actually has depth, not just heat and would be good on just about anything. Finished it off with plantains and a creamy Peruvian dessert that hit exactly right.

I am in my Senior years now and moved from that area. However, I still go over there to eat on Saturdays every now and then. One thing I can share with you, is the recipe has never changed. 😎😎“
