This place is a classic. You can never go wrong with Mario's. The best Lomo Saltado around and their huacatey ( the green sauce) is unmatched.other must try dishes:- the ceviche mixto-the Jalea ( fried seafood dish) this one is unlike any other around as well!and if you like mussels the chorros a la criolla are really good too.there most likely will be a wait but it's well worth it,just make sure to put your name on the list when you walk in.
I have been going to Mario’s for over 20 years but had not been there since pre-pandemic. I ordered the Lomo Salgado but the steak was very, very tough. Usually spot on, so maybe it was an off day for the cook. Portions are huge and the taste was still very good.

Food is amazing here. I’ve tried other places around and even San Diego which is where home is and this the only original and delicious Peruvian food we go to. Service sucks since the serves are overwhelming by how busy they get. Ain’t our fault but I hate that. Restrooms needs to a HUGE UPGRADE they disgusting and ?
