“You'll never feel as welcome, or have as fresh, perfectly cooked, high quality food!
Even though they were extremely busy with large orders, the owners welcomed me and attended my order, the staff is really fast and attentive.
I ordered the kabob combo, and they asked how l wanted my filet mignon skewer cooked. I've literally never had a kabob place ask before, and was thrilled to have it cooked medium rare! The chicken was the best quslity chicken kabob ever!
The hummus and babaganoush were wonderfully spiced, and the rice amazing!

“We visited Marouch Restaurant today and had a great experience overall. The beef shish kabab was surprisingly tender, which is not something we usually find at other Mediterranean spots we’ve tried. The lamb luleh was also outstanding and definitely a highlight of the meal. The grill chicken and lamb chops were good but not particularly exceptional.

We also tried Tan (the yogurt drink), but it wasn’t really to our taste. The ambience was calm and quiet, which made the dining experience even more enjoyable. We were able to find parking right in front of the restaurant since it wasn’t a busy time.

Would definitely recommend for quality Mediterranean food.“

“My first time visiting California and we chose this restaurant for dinner. The food was so very good. We shared a vegetarian platter which consisted of falafel, tabouli, hummus, baba ganoush and cabbage salad. My son had the lamb and beef kabobs, my daughter the beef schwarma platter and I had the chicken skewers. The garlic sauce is delicious and so were the platters.“

“This is a beautiful restaurant with a gorgeous atmosphere in The Bloc in downtown LA.

Our food was absolutely delicious and made fresh to order. We watched them roll out the pita and put it in the oven. It was incredible!

The kafta sandwich was so flavorful, but I was surprised there was only one kebab on the sandwich which meant that the bread to meat ratio was really off. And everything felt a couple dollars too expensive for what we got, but the flavors were so good we will definitely go back. We may just share more next time.“

“On my first visit, I was welcomed by Salim (the owner) with a friendly handshake. I tried the combo kabobs, and the quality of the ingredients stood out immediately. The kabobs were tender and oozing with juice, with just the right amount of char and smokiness to bring out their depth and flavor. The salad was crisp and very watery. The hummus was light, silky, and delicate without too much seasoning. I also liked how the rice was light — not too salty or buttery like some places.

My Arnold Palmer was refreshing and not overly sweet. Everything felt intentionally flavored to offer impact without that heavy, overwhelming feeling afterward. After a hearty meal, I felt light and satisfied. Really happy with this spontaneous find, and I’ll definitely be back to complete their entire menu.“

“Came to Carousel with a party of 9. Our table was waiting on arrival and the staff was fantastic especially given our time constraints. We let them know we had to be out the door in 90 minutes for a show and they ensured we were fed a feast with time to spare. We did the family style - Hollywood Feast which was a lot of fun. The Hollywood Feast will leave you with days of leftovers which we are now enjoying. Would recommend family style for large groups. All the food was great, everyone agreed the chicken stood out as superb, very juicy and tender. Definitely coming back.“

“I've been coming to the spot for probably over 10 years and the experience overall has been solid. The owners are always really polite, the food is put together ridiculously fast, and the flavors are pretty familiar and flavorful as you would expect from Mediterranean food. I will say, that perhaps there's a little bit of shrinkflation because most restaurants, the portions just seem a little smaller. I think for this cafe, everything is pretty much the same with high quality hummus, tasty rice, fresh salad, but I think the meat portions are a little smaller than I remember a year ago. Also, this round, my lamb skewers were a bit overcooked and on the dry side. But, perhaps this is just an anomaly for this visit. I'm going to try again probably this month!“

“I've eaten here twice now. First time ran in and ordered a Falafel with Hummus and Tabuleh. It was so delcious - some of the best I have ever had. Came back for lunch with mu huband for lunch and he had a Schwarma salad. It was also delicious. The garlic sauce and home made bread served with salad was amazing. Will go back again and even go out of my way to enjoy this specail little spot.“
