“I've been to many burger spots in my life, but I've never had a burger as good as the Chef Burger from Burger Bun. I'm talking perfectly seasoned beef, and delicious (but not overpowering) burger sauce, crisp vegetables, and the brioche bun is spectacular. There's no burger in Glendale that even comes close. The wings are also some of the best I've ever had and the homemade sauces are so, so tasty. The fries are perfect, and they have amazing milkshakes too. To top it all off, the service is ridiculously good, and the prices are fair. This is my go-to spot in town.“

Plus, they serve the I put decent lemonade of any fast food joint. And burgers, while not as good as their chicken offerings are every bit as good as any other place. “We ordered Rose Teokbokki in first visit. I really loved it . Then we visited again to try the OG chicken Katsu and I really loved it. I would definitely go back for it. Portion size was very good for the price. Teokbokki size was huge. The service is very good .Very kind staff and customer friendly. I loved the ambience and the local Korean vedios running in the television which made me feel like I was in South Korea. The staff gave us miso soup as complimentary which I really appreciate. I would order it in my next visit as it was tasty. Overall I would definitely recommend for my friends and family.“

“I don’t usually write reviews, but this place honestly deserves it. Beef Box Shawarma is hands down one of the best shawarma spots I’ve EVER tried. The meat is very flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and not dry at all (which is rare). You can tell everything is made super fresh, and the portions are actually worth the price.

Also have to mention the service because everyone there was genuinely so friendly and kind. They had really good energy, were welcoming, and just made the whole experience feel nice.

I got a beef shawarma and it was loaded, sauces were really good, everything was delicious!

“Ya know, this place is outside where I normally do my living, but occasionally I have to be in the area! Today was the 5th time I’ve been there, I ordered a Double Combo, and Geeze it was TERRIFIC!!!
The grilled onions are da bomb! The fries crispy and yummy. The only downside I see, if you order to go, and have a 25 minute drive the fries get uncrispy ! Simple physics, steam coming off the fries tends to do that. But I love to eat there, so not a problem for me!

“So great, perfect burger, tasty fries and pleasant service.

The key to a good burger is the structure and these guys are putting together great burgers. They put a lil spice on the fries and they didn’t taste frozen.

Everyone in the kitchen was wearing gloves, they were all wiping down surfaces constantly, and the place is clean throughout.

The price was spot on for the current situation with inflation, I spent about 15 bucks. If I’m up this way, I will definitely go back.“

“The first time I ate shawarma here, I stopped going to other places. This is the best shawarma in all of Los Angeles, no strings attached. I drive here every time I go from Koreatown, just because, or when I need to go to Glendale on business, I always stop here. The man working the register and making the shawarma is very nice. I've never had a single negative experience with this place.“

“I truly like Yaki’s and the way the food is prepared. If you’re under 21, you probably won’t notice much difference, and to be fair, the flavors are good. I’m writing this simply as constructive feedback — it’s completely up to you whether you want to act on it or not.

I still enjoy Yaki’s, but I only eat here a couple of times a year now because I personally have a harder time digesting some of the current ingredients.

The reality is that people in this area are willing to pay more for higher-quality beef and cleaner ingredients, especially in La Crescenta. The neighborhood has changed a lot — it’s no longer the same immigrant community it was in the 1990s with lower-cost housing. Today, it’s become a much more affluent area with higher expectations around food quality.

It’s also worth noting that La Crescenta locals have not traditionally supported fast-food style chains. Businesses like McDonald’s, Burger King, Pizza Hut, and Papa John’s didn’t last here for a reason. Residents generally avoid fast-food quality and prefer better ingredients.

I genuinely believe Yaki’s could be even more successful and stand out for another decade and beyond by upgrading just a couple of things — better quality beef for the bowls and higher-quality (possibly organic) hot dogs for Bulldog. With that small change, this place could be next level for the area
