Church's Texas Chicken Moves Into Catering
Feeding a crowd is one job most people would happily hand off, and Church's Texas Chicken wants to take it. The fried chicken chain just launched Church's Catering, a program that delivers its menu in group-friendly formats for everything from office lunches to family reunions.
Customers can order individually packaged Big Box Meals for smaller groups or buffet-style bundles that feed up to 50 people. The lineup covers bone-in, hand-battered fried chicken and chicken tenders, plus family-sized sides like mashed potatoes and gravy, fried okra, baked macaroni and cheese, jalapeño peppers and honey butter biscuits. Church's southern sweet tea rounds out the spread.
"Our new catering program brings the signature taste of Church's Texas Chicken to more occasions and groups of all sizes with the convenience, quality, and value our guests expect," said CEO Roland Gonzalez. "As demand for catering and off-premise dining continues to grow, we're making it even easier to serve generous, great-tasting meals that bring people together."

Catering lets chains chase large, high-ticket orders and sidestep the price sensitivity that has squeezed individual meal sales. Raising Cane's sells Tailgate bundles of 25 to 100 chicken fingers, Zaxbys runs its own program, and Dave's Hot Chicken added catering last year through ezCater. Even Chipotle is chasing group orders to lift sales.
The timing helps Church's. The brand grew its U.S. system by 12 units to 885 stores at the start of this year, ending two straight years of closures, and its average unit volume climbed from $1 million in 2023 to $1.1 million in 2025. Abroad, it's eyeing a 900-store pipeline and up to 600 locations in China.

I was at the new Church's Texas Chicken in Camden NJ, 6/8 @215pm. Def a welcomed addition. I would LOVE to see one closer to Sicklerville or Marlton. The service was excellent. Looking at the reciept the young ladies name at the register was Seriana. She was so professional and kind and even smiled. That goes along way w customer service. I went through drive-through; menu board was easy to navigate, wait time wasn't too bad, food was as good as I remember Church's being. I ordered 2pc dark, fried okra (yummy), fries and strawberry soda. Everything was hot and placed neatly in individual bags, chicken boxed with honey biscuit and soda actually had fizz not flat or syrupy. I paid $13.63 comparable to the other places. Welcome back Church's, my favorite chicken restaurant. My only complaint, too far from where I live and work. Great job Camden team. ?? ????
