“Yummy eats for takeout times two! I've been becoming an instant fan of Barn Rau... Located at the east end of the Vallarta Supermarket Plaza of Oxnard Street and Cleon Avenue, right next to Ramen Izakaya - North Hollywood. With their impressive menu of tasty Thai food for all, kosher, pescatarian vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, they've got a little something for all! And all are definitely welcome. The vegan menu and options are abundant. The flavor is solid and the portions are portionful! The veggie spring rolls my first time ordering were a little more crispy, but still very nom nom. It's fresh, halal, and made with valley flare as well as care! Craving them on a Wednesday night (which is the only day of the week they're not open). I've physically been by but yet to stop inside... Hoping to change that soon (planning a meet up with friends), but nothing beats good delivery! Barn Rau doesn't have many windows so it's hard to get a sense of what the full vibe is like especially for dining inside in 2024. The outside has has some updated paint in the last few years that makes it and the neighboring establishments look nicer. Typically Barn Rau Thai Halal is serving up great dishes from around 530/6PM until late night 2/230AM most of the week (or until midnight on Tuesdays). Plenty of parking the street and some close by in the shared parking lot.“
“Susuru holds a special place in my heart. I’ve tried a number of items on their menus and everything is ???. I can’t stress enough about how good this ramen is. I’ve only known about Susuru for a month or so but have eaten here over 8 times. All of the broths are rich and authentic. The Thai coconut curry ramen is mind blowing and a generous serving. My go tos are the Miso and Tonkatsu. Add spice for extra flavor. I brought my coworkers here and everyone’s bowls were finished down to the last drop of broth. Easily one of the best ramens shops in LA. It’s got a great mom and pop atmosphere. Food comes out quick. What else can I say, I’m in love with Susuru. Anytime I want ramen in the future, I’m going to come here. Just thinking of it makes my mouth water. ?“

“Came here on a Sunday night around 7 pm, wait for 15 mins and I was in.It’s a cute little shop that serves good udon. I tried the Takoyaki and it was fine, not great. Little too doughy for me.For the udon we tried the miso carbonara and the hot dragon. I would say that they were both good. Carbonara is very creamy and milky while the hot dragon packed some good flavors. The hot dragon felt like it was more food than the carbonara.Took about 15 mins to get our food so a bit slow but I think they handcraft the noodles so many that’s why it took a while? About $50 for two udons and an app.“
“Compared to a few years back this street food spot has gained a few more food stalls to neighbor it. There is now a bbq meet place, a salad and fresh foods place and a dessert one. I got three plates, one pad Thai, one pork fried rice and one of their new ground pork with egg dish. Pad Thai is good as always, fried rice was lacking flavor as before but they have seasoning for you to use. Their ground pork with egg was so good but holy crap it was spicy. It did have a good spice though I recommend it.“
“We got seafood kalguksu, sujaebi and bossam. They were all SO good! This is now one of our favorite restaurants in town.Note: The valet parking is $4. We were charged $10 because they saw us come from outside the parking lot. We ate at Hangari and went for a walk. The valet guy was rude about it and said they were going to charge extra for not picking up the car after dining. We obviously didn't know about it. I know it's not the restaurant fault but it would have been nice if they mentioned it.Parking: $4 for valet parking. Extra charge if you don't pick up your car right after dining.“
“Visited Uovo in Studio City for the first time and tried their tasting menu. The truffle pasta was amazing, seriously good. The pomodoro was just okay, didn't impress much. But the Tiramisu? Wow, I'm not even a big fan of Tiramisu and it left me speechless. Worth a visit for sure.“

Everything was so good, but make sure to also ask for the garlic chili oil and chili powder if you want to kick up the spicy and garlic flavor a notch! I loved the basil flavor of the spicy fried rice, and the sweet and spicy flavor of the spicy garlic noodles! Everything is vegan but you would never guess it based on how freaking yummy everything is!“
“Loved this place! Super fresh ingredients and very friendly staff. Ordered the Nam Tok Salad, the Chicken Pad Kee Mow (Drunken Noodles) and the Isaan Larb Kua. Everything was really tasty and the server was great about explaining the spice levels. The Nam Tok and the Isaan Larb Kua were especially delicious because of the use of lime juice -- that tangyness paired with the spiciness and the savoriness in both dishes was a winning combo. In terms of spice level, I'd say that I usually like spicy food and handle it well, and the Medium was just right. There are additional chili sauces available if you want to dial it up a little bit. Very generous portions and I was honestly quite stuffed. The price is also ridiculously low and I have to say this is one of the most amazing value Thai places I've ever been too -- the pad kee mow was $12.99 for the chicken version!! They were making pickled chilis on one of the side tables, which is one sign you know this place is legit -- when they make their sauces and condiments from scratch, by hand. Really looking forward to my next visit here.“
“The food was so authentic it stunned my mom. I've never seen her so pleasantly surprised by a restaurant. It's hard to find dishes like Liangpi and Big Plate Chicken outside of China, and even if you can the flavors are often diluted. The noodles here were perfectly chewy, the stew in the BPC was rich and thick (rivaling Dolan's even). And the prices aren't bad at all. We'll be coming here again, and exploring their other locations too.“
“After seeing some vids about how great the mul naeng myun is here, I had to come try with my family. My sister and I got the mul naeng myun and my grandma got the sagol dduk mandu guk (ox bone soup with rice cake and dumplings). The broth of the naeng myun was clear and crisp, but a little bland, I had to put in a lot of the mustard paste and vinegar to increase the flavor. Overall, I liked the thinness and texture of the noodles, but the flavor of the soup was nothing too out of the ordinary. The banchan though... deserves a standing ovation. The side dishes were fresh, well seasoned, and Korean grandma approved. I think I preferred my grandma's rice cake soup to my naeng myun, but I would be willing to come back and try their other dishes. We got a pajeon (chive pancake) on the side as well, which was crispy and came with a lovely soy sauce on the side. The waitresses were also very attentive and kind. The restaurant was nearly empty when we walked in for a late lunch on a weekday. Overall a great experience :)“
“We’ve been to many, many Thai restaurants in LA and this one is about to become our favorite! We had 3 dishes and they all were absolutely delicious. The satay chicken appetizer was the best one we ever had. You gotta try it. The vegetarian papaya salad was so good with just the right level of hotness we asked for and the chow menu with tofu was so delicious we licked it off the plate. “We wanted something healthy but flavorful for dinner and happened upon this place in the neighborhood, pretty no frills on the inside. Clearly a big focus on deliveries, but there's plenty of tables. We each got a steak banh mi and WOW was it good! So much flavor, and the bread was perfect; hard enough to hold it together, but easy to bite into. The crispy spring rolls were perfect as well, clearly freshly made and decently sized. We also split some noodles and were pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes. Definitely will be back.“
“Pretty chill noodle place, food came out pretty quick and was good with a really solid portion size. However, we came in with a group of 6, and it may be their rules, but I found it frustrating that there weren't that many people in the restaurant but we couldn't put 2 tables together to make a larger table for our group, eventually after asking a few times we were able to move to a larger table where all 6 of us could sit together. Pretty cheap parking here as well, overall would go back but maybe in a smaller group.“
“My beef noodle spot for a couple of years now. I have to visit once a week if possible and I'm in Long Beach and have yet to find a better place in sevetal years! Highly recommended and their other food is amazing as well. I just can't get over how good the soup is so that's what I get every time now. “It was my first time dining at Thai Central. It is a gem in East Hollywood for a Thai food. The food is very tasty. We ordered a few things, Kao Clook Ka phi, Boat noodle, and Papaya salad - the was delicious. And awesome service - from getting our order in and getting the food from the kitchen to our table. I like the cleanliness of the restaurant. We dropped the lid of something on the floor , and the server took the lid from us, he cleaned it and brought it back - impressive. It was amazing!!! It’s not a typical Korean kimchi fried rice. It has garlicky and tangy flavors. The runny egg yolk blended well with the rice.We also got cream cheese crab Rangoon, fried dumplings and veggie egg rolls. LOVED their sweet and sour dipping sauce. We asked for extra to bring home.Very casual, fast and friendly service. You order and pay at the counter. They don’t speak much English but they are very accommodating.We are super happy to find another restaurant close by that we love. Will definitely go back for more!“

“Last time I had Pho for the first time was at a different location and it wasn't good at all. So I was skeptical to try it again at this spot but MAN WAS THIS PHO GOOD. I had the shrimp pho and it was so flavorful and soo good. We also had some crispy dumplings which were also pretty good ! Service was great, very nice people attending us and making sure our dinner time was going well. And the place was just so calm and relaxing. We got there an hour before closing time so there wasn't as many people, which made the experience so much better. After this redeeming experience, I will definitely be coming back ! “I came to this place on a Thursday afternoon and let me tell you: I am a huge enthusiast of Thai food but it gets harder and harder by the day to pick up one spot that is above all of the others. This place is a strong contender for that first place, though: it has it all, reasonable prices, great food, amazing service and chill ambiance. The server was a woman with short hair and glasses who truly went above and beyond for us (I should have asked for her name but I forgot). Everything, including non-traditional items like fried shrimp cake was just cooked to perfection. It all came out quickly and piping hot. Parking was fantastic too. The crab fried right was just right and the spicey fried rice was balanced with the right amount of heat. You can always request the kitchen to turn up or turn down the spice level according to your taste buds. Try the lychee martini, you will thank me later. The service was five-star from the moment we walked in. We were greeted with a warm welcome and our waitress made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our dining experience. “Impromptu noodle spot on a rainy day. Was happy we did. A bowl of noodles for 13, and lamb soup with bun on the side for 17. Total with tax was about 34. Felt super nice and toasty eating at this spot on a rainy day. Lamb soup hit the spot, pretty generous amount of meat and soup had right amount of flavor with black pepper. Large portion of noodles. Love the home made table chili oil. The guy was super nice. He didn't accept tips, and insisted not taking. He said to visit more often instead. I find that super refreshing.
