“Sam Woo in Van Nuys is the gold standard for Chinese food. I’ve been coming here for as long as I can remember, and everything is still top tier — bold flavors, great portions, and consistently well-executed dishes that hit every time. You can tell this is a place that knows exactly what it’s doing, and the quality really shows. The food comes out hot, fresh, and incredibly satisfying. The to-go area team is especially friendly and efficient, making pickup quick and easy. If you’re craving authentic Chinese comfort food done right, this spot absolutely delivers. A true classic that keeps us coming back.“

“Saw this place on IG a while ago, but subconsciously just scrolled through the post not remembering the name. I just happened to stumble upon it while getting my car serviced, and realized it was the place when I saw they were serving people fat portions of food.
Hyped I found the place. Great price, portions. Can easily feed 2-3 people. Quality is what you would get from a fast food Chinese place which is also great.“

“Easy parking. Very fast service and unbeatable price. It tastes pretty light for Southern style Pho. But not quite light enough to be Northern. You can smell the aroma from the parking lot. Also very clean and they carry a lot of dishes you don’t always find in Viet spots.“

“The service was excellent. The meal was delicious. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained. I visited here three times: alone and with friends and coworkers. I ordered extra spicy Blaze ramen with pork and extra bamboo shoots. I wholeheartedly recommend this place.“

“Fantastic food at an extremely reasonable price. You can easily get full for 20$. We had a huge spread of dumplings, our favorite was the spicy pork dunpling and the pork and leek pancakes. Everything was delicious and seemed hand made. Service is very casual. This is a great spot to share food with people you care about you will get great shareable food and service that is attentive without being interrupting.“

“I fear that sometimes, we all give high ratings to vegan restaurants, despite their being less than great, just to be encouraging for the team. This place, however, is legit amazing. Flavorful, fresh, and a wonderful, genuine bowl of noodles. If you’re on the fence, wondering about the authenticity of all of the glowing Redwhite Boneless reviews, I would just give it a try.“

“One of several new malatang places in the area, Bruin Bowl is not a large place, but they seem to have a solid selection of meats, veggies, noodles, and seafood despite their modest size. Both the bone broth and the chicken/fish maw soup bases are pretty tasty too. Excellent option if you're in the area.“

“I really enjoyed the food and it was not very pricey at all. Most of the plates, even the favorites at that, we’re about $15… Everything on the menu is Vegan 🙋🏽♂️“

“They have the best Pho in the Reseda area. This is my go to spot since the goldfish in the front entrance.. they have really made it look nice. All their pho is delicious. Everything on the menu is amazing. They are also opened late that is a plus. Location is always busy but worth the wait. Their food is authentic tasting.“

“The Pho is enough for 2 people and it's delicious! We have had both the chicken and the Wagu beef. Also, the rice plates with fried rice and either Wagu beef or spicy pork is really good. We get one of each (Pho and rice plate) and share. We are quite full and satisfied when we finish! And the prices are very reasonable.“

“I love eating here! The service is always so awesome. I love that it's tucked away, and every time I've brought someone to eat here they don't expect that the restaurant is here. As for the food, it's DELICIOUS! My son is picky, and even he couldn't deny how good the food is. The ramen is amazing, it's so good and the portions are hearty. I usually end up getting a ramen combo with a chashu bowl. Now, I get to eat there AND have delicious leftovers. My family have tried other ramen places around and we keep coming back to Futaba because it's number one in our eyes. The flavor is always on point. Definitely recommend.“

“Our go-to neighborhood gem — and we keep coming back for more!
My boyfriend and I have become regulars here, and honestly, we have zero regrets about it. We go probably more than we should (our wallets might disagree, but our taste buds absolutely do not!). What keeps us coming back is the fact that we’ve never had a single bad dish — everything we’ve ordered has been absolutely delicious.
What I love most is that the menu always gives us something new to try. We make it a little game — every visit, we branch out and order something we haven’t had before, and every single time, it delivers. That’s honestly rare. It’s one thing to have a few standout dishes, but when everything is this good, you know the kitchen really cares about what they’re putting out.
This place has become a true staple in our lives, and I can’t recommend it enough. Whether you’re a first-timer or a fellow regular, you’re in for a treat. Do yourself a favor and check it out — just don’t be surprised when you find yourself going back way more often than you planned!“

“I love Kinza. It’s a cute but no pretension type of sushi spot! Their rolls come with 10 pieces (not 8) AND you can order half size rolls even for their specialty rolls which is INCREDIBLE. Very fresh, flavorful, lots of good combos, and service is excellent.
If you can’t find parking on the street, park in the alley behind the restaurant!“

“Tina, the owner, is an amazing person and great Thai chef. I dined in her cozy restaurant and we had a great conversation. I absolutely loved my Penang chicken curry over rice! It’s next to a famous boxing gym - all her favorite champions come by to eat after their workout. BYOB from the market next door“

“Needed to edit my online order but couldn’t after placing it, so called the restaurant and luckily was able to get some quick, easy assistance from David! He was able to substitute the item for me without issue. When I arrived, he confirmed my whole order for me and visually showed me that everything was there. Portions and quality were great. My favorite was the Mongolian beef. Would definitely come back, especially for a good lunch special!“

“Great Cantonese restaurant! My family has been coming to this restaurant for many years and the food is delicious and cooked like in Hong Kong. We had filet mignon and asparagus, sea food chow mein, Peking duck, snow pea leaf and mixed vegetables - mushroom, bok choi, fried tofu, bean sprouts, and broccoli (vegetarian dish). This place has a lot of old clientele, and tbe food is delicious.“

“One of my go-tos budget ramen. The chicken pops are good if served hot. Parking at the back can get full though. Staff are friendly. I think this branch is co-owned by Maru Bowl-ritto based on name. If yes, also love that place! Love the kind grandma working there.“

“So reminiscent of homestyle Korean cooking. Got a noodle dumpling soup and pan fried squid, and both of the dishes along with the sides were spot on. The decor is super homey and all the tables are live edge (so interesting design wise), and the people there were very warm and inviting. Definitely recommend.“

“What a treasure! Randomly came across this fantastic restaurant while staying in Koreatown. Great view of the Hollywood sign from the terrace, incredible atmosphere, tasty and cheap HH. I ordered a Tom Yum soup that just about blew my hair back and my date ordered a Tom Kha that was even better! We got the Pad Sew Ew to go for later, which was also decent as a late night snack. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an excellent, interesting, delicious, relaxed but intimate date night restaurant.“

“Mountain Noodles offers an extensive variety of Korean dishes, which initially made me skeptical about their focus on noodles. However, I was surprised to find that their menu cleverly builds on a foundation of decent meat broth with slight variations.
I tried their signature dish, the beef noodles, and opted for the mild spicy version, which unexpectedly came with kimchi in the soup. I would recommend going with the regular flavor to fully appreciate the rich flavor of the broth. Kimchi is also served as a standard side dish. The ribs in the noodles were perfectly cooked, and the noodles themselves were delightfully chewy and tasty.
While the service was not particularly friendly or proactive, it didn't significantly detract from the overall quality of the food. Mountain Noodles is a solid choice for anyone craving varolious and well-prepared Korean cuisine.“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Italian restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and charming—perfect for a relaxed dinner or a special night out. The décor and ambiance immediately gave off authentic Italian vibes, making the experience feel genuine and cozy.
The menu is extensive and full of traditional Italian dishes, from fresh pastas and risottos to wood-fired pizzas and classic entrees. I tried several dishes, including homemade pasta and a perfectly baked pizza, and every bite was outstanding. The flavors were rich, fresh, and authentic, with perfectly balanced sauces, fresh herbs, and quality ingredients. You could really taste the care and attention put into each dish.
The portion sizes were generous, and the presentation of the food was beautiful. From the appetizers to the desserts, everything was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. I particularly loved the tiramisu for dessert—it was creamy, perfectly sweet, and a delightful end to the meal.
The staff was exceptional—friendly, professional, and attentive without being intrusive. They were happy to offer recommendations, answer questions, and make sure our dining experience was top-notch. Service was timely, and everything arrived just as we ordered.
The restaurant itself is clean, comfortable, and has a welcoming vibe. Whether you’re coming for a casual meal, a family dinner, or a special occasion, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy authentic Italian food. Prices are reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes, making it excellent value.
Overall, this Italian restaurant delivers an outstanding dining experience—authentic flavors, generous portions, friendly service, and a cozy, inviting atmosphere. If you love Italian cuisine or are looking for a great spot for a memorable meal, this place is a must-visit. I will definitely be returning and recommending it to friends and family!“

“Delicious. Got the signature noodle soup, with pork, mild spice (add your own later), rice noodle. Not a huge fan of the liver but it was nice to try. Service was very attentive.
My only suggestion is to make some cheaper appetizers available. If you come to eat alone, you don’t have any options besides sharing-sized entree-priced apps“

“This was one of my childhood go to spots from when I used to live in L.A. It has been about eight years since I last came, and even though I do not fully remember the exact taste, I just remember really liking the food. Coming back while visiting did not disappoint at all.
Thank you to the lady who works here for taking our photo. She even told me to post it, which made me laugh.
I ate two pans, and yes, the servers can seem a little curt at times, but if you are a local or someone who has been coming for years, you understand that it is just part of the place. The food may not be super extravagant, but you can feel the sincerity in it.“

“This was our first time dining here, and we were genuinely impressed. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Everyone was very attentive throughout our visit and checked in multiple times to make sure we were enjoying our meal.
The food was outstanding — full of flavor, well-cooked, and served in generous portions. We ordered Pad See Ew, Khua Kai, Wonton Soup, Crispy Pork with Chinese Broccoli, and the Yellow Curry. Everything tasted fresh and authentic. It easily fed our family of four, and we still had plenty of leftovers to take home.
If you’re craving truly authentic Thai food, this spot is definitely worth a visit. There was plenty of street parking available, and they also have additional parking behind the restaurant, which is super convenient.
We’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes. Highly recommend!“

“Great chinese restaurant, the noodles are very fresh and the meat tasty. The beef roll appetizer is a good size. Everyone liked the soup as well. My only wish would be a way to make the dish spicy without chili oil as it makes the dish even more oily.“
