For light Chinese in a great environment.. The food is seasoned at a reasonable level and it is consistent. We love the fresh string beans- for a minute they changed their source and the beans were stringy but they are back to the crisp tasty beans without the annoying strings. This was tasty.
Obsessed with their soup dumplings, especially spicy pork! Dan chicken noodle has super fresh noodles and love the soy garlic sauce. And any/all staff I’ve ever encountered is very welcoming and friendly. Definitely recommend!

Based on reviews, Dan Modern Chinese in Playa Vista is a good quality place with excellent food and great service. The food is excellent and on point, with everything being absolutely delicious. Specific meals mentioned include the 3 cup chicken, popcorn chicken, beef & broccoli, shrimp fried rice, garlic green beans, lo mein noodles, spicy marinated cucumbers, pork dumplings, and the Dan Mein Short Rib. The shrimp fried rice was perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious. The restaurant has the best boba in Playa. The service is excellent, with attentive staff. The menu has fresh food to order, offering great comfort dishes that are definitely worth ordering. This is a modern version of Chinese food with big noodles. It is recommended for all ages.
