“Busy on the weekends and mornings so recommend coming here on a weekday. We came here during Wednesday for dinner and did not have to wait. They were out of the chicken rice but had everything else. You order at the front and then get a seat. They don’t do reservations so best to come with a small group of 2-3. Highlights on the menu for us we’re the French Toast and Pork Belly Rice. The French Toast was sweet with a crispy outside and fluffy inside. Overall, great place with good prices and would come back!“

We originally came to Chinatown to eat at the other famous place down the street from here, but there was a 2 hour wait there and we needed to eat and get going to the Dodger game! That’s when Google came to the rescue and we found Jade Wok!! We ordered fried rice, chow mein, spare ribs, kung-pow chicken, house beef and all were very delicious!! “The beef noodle soup was pretty good, it had large chunks of tender beef. The noodles were the best part super bouncy and fresh! The pork xiao long baos were also great, though the wrapping was a bit tougher and thicker than a normal xiao long bao. But the soup and meat are both packed with flavor. The chili oil on the table was not spicy pretty much just dried chili and oil. Service was great, overall enjoyable experience.“

“We've been to this Phoenix Inn Chinese Cuisine for years. They've been changing the menu all these years, and we still miss their old fusion family dinner menu, including the egg rolls, sweet & sour pork, and egg drop soup. They also remodeled the place so it looks modern, and they still have some traditional stuff. Anyhow, their menu is now just like other Phoenix Cuisine with a lot of authentic Hong Kong food, and the taste was great. We ordered the crispy noodles with shredded pork, fried rice with seafood and chicken gravy, and fresh mango delight. They all tasted great and were reasonably priced, and had big portions. The service was attentive, and the servers were friendly.“

She recommended we eat it with our meal, by itself, or use it in our water! I appreciated her recs and choose to nibble on some and put the rest in my water.

“One of several new malatang places in the area, Bruin Bowl is not a large place, but they seem to have a solid selection of meats, veggies, noodles, and seafood despite their modest size. Both the bone broth and the chicken/fish maw soup bases are pretty tasty too. Excellent option if you're in the area.“

“Din Tai Fung is a very nice restaurant with a clean and comfortable feeling. I really liked the outdoor seating area. It had a chill and relaxing vibe, and they also have heaters above the table area, which helps keep your head warm when sitting outside. Nice little detail.

The food was good, and I especially liked the cucumber appetizer. It was fresh, flavorful, and a great starter. The portions are a little smaller and the price is higher, but that is kind of expected for Din Tai Fung, especially inside a mall.

One small tip: the restroom is located at the back of the restaurant. If you see a red light above the door, that means it is being used.

“Probably one of the best kept secrets in Chinatown in Los Angeles. The food is simply amazing. The best Kung Pao Chicken in town. The pepper steak is fantastic. The orange chicken is crispy and on point. The facilities are clean and welcoming. For our team lunch, we were given the private room that seats about 60 people.“

“I randomly found this place when I was in the area. The restaurant itself is very cute and clean. The service was superb, we got seated right away and got our water right away. We ordered the noodles, XLB and popcorn chicken and cucumber salad. The XLB was so juicy and I didn’t expect a stream to shoot out from my mouth from the first bite into the XLB. Thankfully I didn’t hit anyone with the XLB juice. I will be back to try other dishes.“

“Been coming here for as long as I can remember - I suppose as long as this iteration has existed. The H.Way Frontier is a place you’re introduced to early on if you’re below the line film crew in Burbank running with a rigging or art dept./set Dec crew. This storefront carries on the tradition as I’ll often bump into fellow industry crew here.
All that stuff is well and good but the real reason we congregate here is THE FOOD. There are other good Chinese restaurants in LA but this place to me is by far the best. Consistently wonderful, delicious, very good portion sizes and a nice menu variety. It’s quick (15 minutes or less) and the lunch specials are a great deal. I’m not usually this gushy about anything but Frontier Wok Too deserves every bit of praise I can throw at it. If my family is in the mood for Chinese Food there’s only one choice for us and that is right here. With no traffic it’s still a 20 minute drive one way but it’s worth every minute once we’re sitting down to eat it. You can’t go wrong at Frontier Wok Too. If you haven’t tried it you simply must and you can be the judge.“

This place has a lot of old clientele, and tbe food is delicious.“

“This has been my favorite spot since the 80s (i'm 42). I've always loved their little chicken wings and chow mein. Even now as an adult and having lived all over California, I've yet to find a place that compares. This is a must stop for me every time I go visit family and I absolutely crave it when I'm not there.
the appearance is old and half shut down, but the Chinese food counter is still going strong. Big portions, delicious food, and great prices. And as a bonus: they are still selling the Orange Julius that I had when I was little too. “This was my first time and I loved it! I pass by sometimes and always wanted to try it. I ordered through DoorDash today and it was great. I got the Mongolian BBQ with egg rolls and a slush that had boba in it. I wanted it super spicy and it turned out just right. I even loved the boba it wasn’t hard or had a weird texture. They exceeded my expectations. The portion size was super filling for the price. I’m so happy I got this today :)“
