“This place is a whole vibe. Purely from a food perspective, the menu here is pretty standard Chinese fare and is above average though not incredible. The dan dan noodles are spice and solid. The walnut prawns were a bit too sweet.

The prices are also on the high side.

But what you're paying for is the setting and nostalgia. I mean, we dined in a converted train car!

The inside is dark, sultry, and decadent. The service is solid though a bit scattered at times.“

“Jade Rabbit was absolutely amazing! The food is full of flavor and incredibly tasty. Highly recommend the fried rice and chow mein with beef and spicy Sichuan chicken, with spicy broccoli and roasted sweet potatoes on the side — everything was delicious.

For appetizers, the Sichuan fries and egg rolls are to die for 🔥. So crispy, flavorful, and addictive!

And make sure to finish with the chocolate chip cookie 😍🍪 — the perfect ending to a great meal.

“Had a great meal! Forwent ordering potstickers in order to try the enticingly named Gang of 4 ×4 - a delicious decision! The Mao's Hometown was just-right spicy, and I'm sure they put more than $2 extra shrimp on my order. Service friendly and prompt, loved the art. We originally came to Chinatown to eat at the other famous place down the street from here, but there was a 2 hour wait there and we needed to eat and get going to the Dodger game! That’s when Google came to the rescue and we found Jade Wok!! We ordered fried rice, chow mein, spare ribs, kung-pow chicken, house beef and all were very delicious!! “Lee’s cafe is a Taiwanese-style cafe with a hint of Hong Kong sparkle, serving the perfect mix of Taiwanese and Hong Kong food. The toast is absolutely marvelous, and I truly believe it is worth every penny. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for the other dishes. The sesame cold noodles were good, but missing something—I felt they didn’t quite hit the mark. The wontons were delicious, but the braised pork belly rice was your typical run-of-the-mill rice. Nothing terribly special, but delicious nonetheless. The HK milk tea, however, leaned very watery and missed the signature strong tea taste of a HK milk tea.
Also, their bathroom sink was broken and put as a “use at your own risk”. Hopefully they have fixed this since my visit!
Yet, through all this, I would still return to Liu’s kitchen—for their toast!“

“Been coming here for as long as I can remember - I suppose as long as this iteration has existed. The H.Way Frontier is a place you’re introduced to early on if you’re below the line film crew in Burbank running with a rigging or art dept./set Dec crew. This storefront carries on the tradition as I’ll often bump into fellow industry crew here.
All that stuff is well and good but the real reason we congregate here is THE FOOD. There are other good Chinese restaurants in LA but this place to me is by far the best. Consistently wonderful, delicious, very good portion sizes and a nice menu variety. It’s quick (15 minutes or less) and the lunch specials are a great deal. I’m not usually this gushy about anything but Frontier Wok Too deserves every bit of praise I can throw at it. If my family is in the mood for Chinese Food there’s only one choice for us and that is right here. With no traffic it’s still a 20 minute drive one way but it’s worth every minute once we’re sitting down to eat it. You can’t go wrong at Frontier Wok Too. If you haven’t tried it you simply must and you can be the judge.“

“This has been my favorite spot since the 80s (i'm 42). I've always loved their little chicken wings and chow mein. Even now as an adult and having lived all over California, I've yet to find a place that compares. This is a must stop for me every time I go visit family and I absolutely crave it when I'm not there.
the appearance is old and half shut down, but the Chinese food counter is still going strong. Big portions, delicious food, and great prices. And as a bonus: they are still selling the Orange Julius that I had when I was little too. I dont know how long they've been in business but since i remember them from when i was little, I can safely say at least 40 years and still Killing it.

“This was my first time and I loved it! I pass by sometimes and always wanted to try it. I ordered through DoorDash today and it was great. I got the Mongolian BBQ with egg rolls and a slush that had boba in it. I wanted it super spicy and it turned out just right. I even loved the boba it wasn’t hard or had a weird texture. They exceeded my expectations. The portion size was super filling for the price. I’m so happy I got this today :)“

“This place is such a hidden gem. The food was such a pleasant surprise. I got the Tingly Cumin Dry noodles, and they weren’t too oily or spicy at all (contrary to other reviews). We also got the Mama’s Dumplings which were definitely on the oilier side, but that’s due to the sauce which is made beforehand.

The noodles were so good that we had to get the Szechuan Garlic flavor to-go, but that soon was eaten within the same hour… Also the peach fruit tea is so refreshing and not too sweet.

If you’re worried about too much spice, don’t be. It’s the perfect amount.

And yes the cashier was very patient and helpful.“
