My favorite breakfast place when we visit DTLA. The atmosphere is excellent and it’s next to my favorite bar.
A Neighborhood staple. Uncle John’s makes living in Downtown awesome. It’s always a treat coming here for brunch, especially if you’re craving diner breakfast and Japanese at the same time. Like cmon what a combo is teriyaki chicken and eggs for brunch. Love this place and the exciting menu is worth coming to downtown for. Especially if you walk to one of the farmers markets afterwards!

We got what feels like everything on the menu for our brunch post wedding. Steak and eggs, spicy pork chops, fried rice, Vietnamese, coffee, Hong Kong French toast. Everything was unbelievable on top of the vibes, the music, the level seating, and the customer service was so kind and helpful. Checking in on us with helpful suggestions. We will be back and bring everyone.

The only drawback is the comfort of the chairs, but overall the restaurant is a great choice, especially for those wanting to try the in-house chili oil or the fried rice as a side. Had an Omlet with chicken and a side of fried rice. Boy it was great. Good was clean and not greasy and very delicious. The dirty front windows and simple tables might throw you off but the food and service are really awesome.
