Based on the reviews, Carl's Jr. in Monterey Park is known for its awesome service and friendly staff, with one employee praised for providing a great Carl's Jr. experience. The location serves many students from the ELAC community, including Asian Engineering and Business students, as well as nearby workers from local businesses. The best deals are a highlight, with favorites like the Big Carl tasting better on special, paired with a Spicy Chicken for a full meal. The vegetarian options, dietary restrictions, parking, kid-friendliness, and wheelchair accessibility are all described as great or amazing.
However, there are some issues. Service speed can depend on when you go; lunch time is usually very good, but the evening crew may be slower. There is also a serious complaint about the restroom policy, where the restaurant does not let certain customers use the restroom despite signs saying they are out of order, even refusing a homeless veteran. Overall, it is a helpful business for the community, but the restroom situation is a concern.
