The kind of place only locals in the hood know about and frequent, far from the center of commerce, but quaint enough to be the epicenter of town. The food is super fresh. Wide selection of traditional Thai fare done well. So good we came twice over the weekend. So glad to see places like this with personality and taste. 70s Thai Film Posters and Patrick Nagel’s Rio. “This is my OG favorite Thai spot starting way back in 2007 when I moved to Pasadena! I recently went back to give it another try and it's as good as I remember, prices are now considered reasonable and even good especially the lunch specials, and everything still tastes fresh and high quality. Even some of the servers are still some of the original servers from 2007! They said they love working there. The inside is unique, used to be a wall of empty frames but they made it a bit more artsy but definitely eclectic! They also have if you dishes that are not straight tie but Singaporean or Malaysian. A lunch special for two and both of us getting one iced coffee and one Thai tea came out to a whopping ;-) $40. I think that's super reasonable for high quality Thai food and the drinks added $10. Go check it out!“

We came here with the red dinning book 📕. Got two entrees and an appetizer for 2 people, koi soi, tiger prawn curry and raw scallops. The koi soi is actually a pasta, so it was quite a surprise to me, there is no soup in the dish. The curry in the tiger prawn dish is full with prawn roe sauce, very rich.

Everything tastes good and I would come back for the 2nd time for sure!“

“My girlfriend and I sat down here for lunch on a weekend and the food was delicious! The ambiance was good, and everything looked clean and polished. We ordered the crying tiger, khao soi, gai manow, and a mango sticky rice with pandan ice cream. Everything was on very flavorful and on point, and the service was excellent. The khao soi was a stand out with rich flavors, and is a must get!“

Followed by chicken pad-Thai - was nice but somehow missing sourness. But still enjoyable!
The desert, sticky rise with mango- perfect!

“Chili & Lemon Thai Cuisine is the BEST Thai in the area. I have ordered from them multiple times and just recently found out they have their own delivery driver (ONLY A $3 DELIVERY FEE!!) and party trays. Party trays are great as they really take down the price per person and it makes it more fun anyway! We got the 10-12 party tray and it easily fed 11 people + left overs. As this was for a birthday and I told the restaurant they very kindly threw in a sticky rice with mango which was delicious. The food (Pad See Ew) and crab wontons were all GREAT! Everyone was pleased with their meal. Not only that but they delivered promptly (15 minutes EARLY!) I would say they are a great options for a dinner party or for individual meals. Their staff who helped me Sun and one other lady, were extremely helpful and answered all of my questions, and I had a lot of them! I wish I had taken photos, sadly I did not.“

“My Wife & I tried this whole in the wall and were amazed by the amazing food served here. We’ve passed by this place so many times & we couldn’t believe what wonderful flavors are available here!

We tried the Spicy noodle dish with chicken which was tasty with a forgiving spice to it.

In addition, we tried the Tom Yum soup with veggies & tofu. This soup could win awards… The flavor was BOLD and exploding in that flavor.

“Came here to try a new Thai spot after going to President Thai down the street for years and wanting something different. We ordered from the dinner menu, which comes with soup or salad, egg rolls or wontons, and white rice or shrimp fried rice, a great value.

I got the chicken pad Thai and everything was so flavorful and delicious. My boyfriend ordered the yellow curry and it was absolutely amazing, rich and creamy with a coconut base that honestly reminded me of my mom’s Vietnamese curry.

The owner was also incredibly kind and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal. Such a welcoming experience. We’ll definitely be back soon!“

“Finally got around to trying this little spot that opened up about a year and a half ago!
Ordered two Pad Thai and a Chicken Satay.
The Pad Thai was really tasty, And the server offered us a hot sauce that was SO GOOD! On top of the Pad Thai, it was even better. But the real star of the show was the chicken satay and peanut sauce. The chicken was perfectly cooked, practically falling off of its skewer, tender and juicy and seasoning was on point!
A lot of people came in for order pickups, but I was surprised we were the only ones in the small dining room. Which was actually really nice on a busy Friday night everywhere else. Really glad we stopped in!“

“Step into Mama Mae Ting's stall and you will be transported into an authentic Bangkok soi eatery (street stall). Somtam is fresh, crunchy and seasoned as spicy as you can handle; the BBQ chicken (gai yang) & BBQ pork (mu ping) are super savory and juicy (and conveniently served on sticks)..be sure to ask for sticky rice with that! Missed out on the kanomkrok but will save that treat for my next visit. Super arroy di mak-mak!“

“I adore this place. I’ve been coming here for years. I’m Thai, have very high standards and regularly travel to Thailand. My usual order is the spicy cucumber salad (fantastic and refreshing), a veggie soup with glass noodles added, and a Thai tea. Perfect :) This order is super comforting for me and the soup reminds me of something very simple my mom would make me. Savior on a hangover day.

I recommend calling in a delivery directly to the restaurant as they’ll delivery quite quickly within their area. Better than going through uber etc which charge high delivery prices. If you hit a $30 minimum they throw in an extra Thai tea :-)“

“I recently tried Red Chicken Thai Restaurant and honestly, this place is seriously slept on. Don’t let the simple exterior fool you everything I had was delicious.

I ordered the dry noodles with teriyaki chicken, and it hit. The flavors were solid and well-balanced. I also tried their half and half fried and Hainan-style steamed chicken, and both were super flavorful and cooked perfectly.
