I ordered a latte and a crepe, and both were excellent. The latte was smooth and flavorful, and the crepe was absolutely delicious. The owner was also incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home.

“I ordered the legend coffee which is a strong coffee served with a side of condensed milk. It was delicious! I also highly recommend the waffles. They are crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, and not too sweet!

We spent a few hours in the cafe, reading our books while sipping coffee. The environment was conducive. The bathroom was also clean despite it being a Sunday with many customers. It seemed like their staff checks and cleans it regularly.

“I eat breakfast once a week on average. The staff is great, always pleasant, great customer service. The food is good, I always order the one 12 breakfast. Can sub potatoes for a salad if wanted. Only one complaint having to do with restaurant next door. While trying to enjoy my breakfast outdoors, next door is being mopped with Fabuloso cleaner. Totally ruined my breakfast. In a world filled with corporations masquerading as sophisticated boutiques, Philz is a growing chain that still retains a cozy atmosphere while serving up great coffee. I've been to other Philz, but this review will focus on this Brea location.

The Drink:
I got the seasonal salted caramel cold brew and it was delicious. Picture Starbucks' caramel macchiato but less sweet and with less acidic espresso. This Philz drink was smooth and creamy, with enough caffeine kick to keep me powered throughout the day.

The Service:
Our barista was very knowledgeable and offered a few suggestions and a couple of samples so that I could make the right selection. Grade A service!

The Setting:
Located in the new section of Brea Mall, this Philz location is a freestanding building so you have to walk outside of the mall to access it from the southwest side. There's no street parking, so you'll need to park in the large parking structure across from Nordstrom (currently...but they are doing more construction so this could change in the future).

As part of a franchise that doesn't act like one, the Brea location of Philz offers great coffee with excellent customer service.“

My sister and I would often stop by this place for coffee during our business trips from Doha, Qatar. The coffee genuinely reminds me of home, and after trying numerous coffee shops in the area, this is the one that consistently stands out.

The quality and flavour of the coffee are exceptional, and it is easily my favourite coffee spot in the area. It is rare to find a place that consistently delivers, but this one never disappoints.

If I had one piece of constructive feedback, it would be the breakfast menu, which I feel could use some improvement. That said, the coffee alone is absolutely worth the visit.“
