“Jurassic Magic is easily one of the coolest finds in LA. the name makes it sound like a theme park gift shop, but it's actually this incredibly chilled-out, artsy sanctuary. I spent the afternoon on their back patio--it's like a secret garden filled with tropical plants and mid-century vibes. I tried the 'magic latte', and the spice blend is genuinely unique; it's warm and comforting without being too sweet. you can tell they really care about the craft, from the live-whisked matcha to the fact that they roast their own beans. it's the perfect 'third place' to just exist for a while, whether you're catching up on work or just hiding from the city noise. Definitely a must-visit if you appreciate good design and creative coffee.“

“Not a personal fan of their cold brew. It has sort of a lavander after taste. I want my cold brew to taste like cold brew not lavender flowers 😂Also, they use Califia Farms Oat Milk, I'm partial to OATLY Barista Edition. Overall 4/5. Customer service was AMAZING and love the atmosphere with the plants. Definitely worth checking out at least once.“

“Just tried this place out, and I'm definitely coming back! The coffee was great (I got the burnt sugar latte), the employee I spoke to was helpful, and the service was very fast. I love the atmosphere of this shop, and the decorations are adorable. It felt very clean and modern, but with a touch of whimsy. Definitely a 5/5“

“Excellent baguettes. We tried the full-size omelette sandwich - a generously portioned, perfectly prepared soft French omelette in a crusty baguette. Superb. Almond and chocolate croissants were also very good.

It's counter service, right on the sidewalk of busy Melrose Ave. No seating other than a bench and a couple of stools to use while you wait for your freshly prepared order.

Parking can be a challenge. We snagged a street spot on Harvard. There's a park nearby with benches and shade if you want somewhere to eat your treats.“

“There are several excellent and unique boutique coffee stops on this strip and this one is especially representative of Hollywood today. Includes a bakery and kitchen with excellent offerings. My personal fave--plenty of tables and plugs for the laptop. “I was in town for a quick layover at LAX and was meeting up with a friend in the early morning. This place was near the airport, open, and was pretty cool to check out. Their food selection was great and it was easy to order and find a place to settle in. Everything seems to be credit card only, since you order off of tablets. Also we were really lucky with parking. Super fun!“

Espresso cloud was tasty, black sesame cake had a great flavor, and the consistency of the hojicha muffin was spot on. Came on a Sunday morning so it was a bit packed and hard to hear orders get called out (hence the 4 star atmosphere), but would absolutely come back again.“

“Pam's is a fun spot with movie-themed decor but the important part is the coffee and tea drinks are excellent and the service staff was polite, welcoming and efficient.
There were some baked goods on display but we didn't partake. There is available street parking nearby most of the time.“

“My son brought me to doto last night for my birthday. We found ourselves in Silver Lake after a hike and he saw the great reviews and selected this for our celebratory dinner. We couldn’t have been happier! It was 5 stars from the special corner table, to the complimentary prosecco, to the incredible service - food - and atmosphere - to the yummy dessert with a birthday candle! Please please please get the beuongo bbang (붕어빵/taiyaki). As a korean american Ive been craving the pastry that my halmoni used to get me back in Korea and this is the most authentic and delicious one that beats the one in Korea! I was so startled by the taste that I urged my parents to try and they agreed that the batter is really well made. The drinks were great too but definitely on the sweeter side (try the zodiac drinks, thought it was a cute way to try introduce new drink combos).

Parking and store:
Parking lot is a decent size for it being in ktown. The store is small inside but the atmosphere is so cozy and cute.

Service:
Im pretty sure the man who was taking my owner was also the owner but he was super friendly. Would go out of his way to make sure customers can find the bathroom and would check in with each of his customers.“

“Honestly, I've only ordered from Frank's coffee via delivery service. My favorite item on their menu that I order consistently is their Dirty Chai. It's literally perfection. I think they make this down to a science. I've tried it iced & hot and it's good both ways. I've tried lots of dirty chai from a lot of different places, but Frank Coffee does it the best! Also, their chocolate chip cookie is to die for. I moan in ecstasy every time i take a bite of that luscious cookie. Also I just ordered their vegan, apple cinnamon overnight oats and it also did not disappointment. Love me some Frank Coffee!“

It was a really cute place to study and chat for a bit, it’s definitely a traditional tea house for tea lovers! My friend and I got the suiteki matcha powder for our drinks! It’s was really good! “Stopped by on this gloomy morning, zero wait in line despite it being quite busy. I was greeted upon arrival and the girl at the front took my order. She was super sweet. I was given a beeper for order, and both my food and coffee didn’t take too long. I tried their signature Laveta latte with sweet foam and their french toast. Both were 10/10. I’ve been going since 2024, and I safe-keep it for the right peeps who appreciate good cafes. And this year I came back with my friends so that they can taste and experience what good matcha is like. When we visited this Jan, we got the matcha eispanners. My friends truly tasted the quality and balance of flavors presented in their drinks. We sipped till it was gone!! Instantly!! From their eispanners, lattes, and affogatos.. quality, taste and overall flavors is immaculate. Of course there’s always going to be a line and yes it’s crowded inside. You literally have to claim a spot once it’s open or else you loose your chances. Once you do, all you got to do is sit, sip, and relax to the minimalistic atmosphere that is Damo.

“Hands down the BEST small coffee shop experience in LA! Tasty coffee and matcha lattes alike, coupled with a super friendly owner + employees as well as a wall full pictures of dogs who’ve visited (of which my cavapoo is proudly featured), makes a welcoming experience I will frequently go back to.“

“Walked into the café 15 minutes to closing time not sure if they would take us in, but they were very kind to us and didn’t rush us and we had excellent service. I really like how you order at the counter many great options on the menu. As a Mexican American, I appreciate well-made Mexican food. I had the enchiladas Oaxaqueña and the taquitos Dorados and both were excellent. They do very well on their presentation as well. Can’t wait to come back and try other things on the menu. Prices are a little on the high end but overall, I think it’s worth it. My only critiques, and they have nothing to do with the food, would be to not make it so cold inside the restaurant and it would be great if the bathroom had a normal sink without the push button kind, ideally one that is sensor operated. These things are totally peripheral and are not influencing my overall view of the café, but if by chance anyone who manages the restaurant is reading this, maybe they can help improve the overall experience.“

“The Vienna matcha was so good, the sweet cream on top was magical.

Be careful parking in the parking lot. The security guard who is running the parking lot is not professional and will let people block your car in instead of directing them to park somewhere else. We had to wait 15 min for a woman to come out of the coffee shop to move her car. We found that that the security guard let her block us in as we were trying to move. People in LA can be very rude and extremely selfish and they will make it seem like you are in the wrong, when you aren’t. You have to tell the security guard to not let other cars block you in if you come here and to do is job correctly. You’ll see when you come here.“
