This is fine dining but without all of the annoying stuff. There’s plentiful parking behind the restaurant (90mins are free, just a couple dollars after), reservations are easy to get a couple days in advance, nice restaurant but not so fancy that you have to worry about what you’re wearing, food is absolutely delicious and perfectly priced (you don’t have to drop $200 on a tasting menu), and the service was as attentive as most fine dining restaurants. Small menu but great food and drinks. This establishment is a place where you know what you’re getting every time you eat here. Highly recommend even if you’re not from Pasadena. The service is decent, the atmosphere has a cool vibe, very casual but could also be a special date night.

Nick's always delivers great food at reasonable prices. My wife had the seafood cioppino with was good but it didn't have any scallops or crabs in it. The broth had a lot of cooked tomatoes. I had the meatloaf which was very good. Service was great and the sour dow bread is the best.
