“Family friendly and delicious! The service was great. Everyone was friendly and I came on a Sunday evening and there was someone making balloons for kids. My 3 year old loved it and the freshly squeezed orange juice. The food was great and I am kicking myself that I don’t come here often enough. This is definitely going to be a frequent place for my family after our visit. Highly recommend!“

“The name is fun especially since there are so many parrots in the area and none in the building. They serve Jones coffee which is pretty much the best thing there is. And every dish I've tried has been amazing. I particularly loved the avocado toast. It may have been the most perfect avocado toast I've ever eaten. I'd post pictures, but I always forget to take them until my plate is clean. Maybe next time.“

“I have been wanting to have lunch at this cute little cafe for a while. I couldn't wait to try the roasted chicken sandwich to see if it tasted half as good as it looked in the pictures. It was next level delicious! The bread was outstanding, the chicken was so tender and flavorful, and the burrata and pesto were perfect additions. The portion was generous with the highest quality ingredients. I am looking forward to coming back and trying another sandwich, but it might be hard not to order the roasted chicken again as it is now my new favorite sandwich ever!“

“Food was amazing! The service was bad! Very expensive but I expected to be better taken care of. They were fully staffed but no one seemed to be working efficiently. We were 8 and none of the food runners ever knew who ordered what. They had to ask on every plate they brought. Not just our table but others as well. I don’t know if they have busboys as our table was never cleared. Plates upon plate stacked up. No one asked if we wanted a second drink and the glasses were never picked up. When we ordered dessert we had to move the 16 empty drink and water glasses to one side, gather the bread plates, wipe everything down and wait for our desserts. It was a busy night but not too busy for bad service. I kinda expected more than diner service at such an expensive restaurant.“

“Agnes Restaurant & CheeseryIt was not yet noon. I finished mailing documents at the El Monte post office and wanted to find a place to eat. Suddenly I thought of Pasadena Old Town, which I often went to when I was studying. I hadn’t been there for a long time. The car drove into Old Town and finally found a roadside parking. The toll was an old coin-operated type. I didn't see coins during this trip, and even banknotes were rare. Fortunately, there is an app on the toll that allows you to pay directly. , quickly download the app and pay with a credit card. You can only park for 2 hours, so just browse around as you like. The restaurants in Old Town are completely different from what they used to be. I didn’t know any of them, but I happened to see Agnes Restaurant & Cheesery, a cheese specialty store with bright and clean windows. It was small and elegant. It seemed that it also had a restaurant. When I walked in, I saw a variety of cheese and red wine. Immediately I intuitively chose Primento cheese omelette and cappuccino. After a while, the dishes were all served. They were also small and elegant, which is unimaginable in Los Angeles, which is famous for its big wins.Primento cheese omelette is a refreshing salad next to a yellow egg roll. When you take a bite of the salad, you can never describe it as "refreshing". It is thick and thick, the viscosity of the salad oil is very high, and it also has the heavy taste of traditional Western food, regardless of the saltiness. , quite delicious. The egg rolls are well-cooked, and the crispy shell is filled with rich cheese. It is very fragrant and thick, and has a bit of spiciness. It is different from the egg rolls eaten in other restaurants. It is a paradise for cheese lovers. After that, I walked around the store and saw a lot of cheese and red wine waving at me with a smile. Unfortunately, I couldn't buy them this time. After leaving the store, I felt that my stomach was still empty, so I went to look for food again. After noon, the store started to get busy. Let’s try it for dinner next time.“

“I dont want to be too critical - but to me this place was just ok.. i mean props on elevating , and putting a twist to Fil dishes. - but it was underwhelming, atleast for me. Ive had many filipino fusion, twist or watever u wanna call it. Iv had Kasama in Chicago, the first Filipino Michelin Star -- and maybe that was my standard... still good though , I wings sadly was my favorite.. kare kare was cool.. but more sauce and more bagoong wouldve been cool - but then again I think they played it safe - to cater to non Fils... now the Pancit Palabok - I dd not get the pasta filling -- it was shrimp supposedly - tasted more like a fish ball, meat ball texture.. it threw me of cus Palabok is mostly just noodles w sauce - and some shrimp if youre lucky , and chicharon.. it had a lil of palabok to it but again I didnt get the pasta filling -- Its a pop up vibe, it was dark like really dark, and was only 2 tables dining, it was also so the menu was super limited.. maybe il come for dinner next time.. but I saw the dinner prices , and its a lil too much , as people have said on yelp, so not sure if Il even go unless it comes about... give em a try , maybe Im just too bias cus of Kasama and also a yelper said, a non Filipino would enjoy it more -- server also gave us the wrong bill, not a big deal but considering there was only 2 tables there , it kinda messed up the vibe more lol .. but still 4 stars for support n the food wasnt bad so dont be discouraged.. check em out.“

“I've been following the Chef Lemos' progress with development of this restaurant and after the success of Wax Paper I was really excited to try it. My wife and I stopped in for brunch on Sunday. Outdoor patio has a good deal of seating in the front and a lot in the back, but the front has a view of the river, which you can also hear occasionally when an obnoxious and pretentious woman isn't drowning everything else out (that's not a knock on the restaurant, just the hipster attitude of some people). The food and drink options are solid. I got the breakfast burrito which was excellent and my wife had the eggs 'n' curds which she enjoyed. The star of the meal was her brunch cocktail, the Superbloom which came at the suggestion of our server. My wife mentioned she could have enjoyed a pitcher of it, especially in the outstanding weather we had. Caution to driving in, however, the construction of several apartment buildings is a little potentially rough on your tires so be mindful. I look forward to returning for dinner in the future. Keep it up Pete!“

We all had the Ricotta Cheese & Fresh Blueberry Pancakes, some of the best I've ever had anywhere. We sat outside which is lovely, it was cool out, but they had ample heating, and the outside chairs are extremely comfortable, not like those terribly uncomfortable metal chairs and stools that you see almost everywhere around the country, including and especially, LA. “71Above is second to none. The greatest view in Los Angeles, the most professionally-prepared and exquisite-tasting food in Los Angeles (year-round, menu changes slightly every season if the year), and the only thing better than the food is the service by a warm, professional, knowledgeable, and attentive staff. The portions are rich taste and in aesthetic value, bountiful and captivating in flavor and presentation, and are a good size and not disappointing like other high-end restaurants where you're served foam on half a pea and a grape stem on the left of the plate only to be charged $400 for "the chef's vision" (boo) that in reality are neither aesthetically pleasing nor does it stimulate any part of the palate in any memorable way. Yes, restaurant on Melrose, you know who you are and the others, too. 71Above is NOT that kind of place and is, indeed, a beautiful and fulfilling dining experience. Have dined there many times and is our go-to.71Above is one of the only restaurants that serves *actual* and true A5 Wagyu prepared by truly professional chefs that understand the care and attention-to-detail this cut merits. Also home of the best Old-fashioned (called The Downtown here). This is a MUST experience. “I really enjoyed dining at Edendale. The beer selection was above-average, the food top-notch, and the service was outstanding. Our server, I believe her name was Missy, was efficient, friendly, and, dare I say, playfully flirtatious. Her charm made this meal memorable in just about every way. I'll be sure to visit Edendale when I'm in this part of town again.“

“I recently moved to the area and this was our first time at The Proper Restaurant but it most certainly won't be our last. Everything ... and I mean everything was excellent! I started out with the Proper Clover Club cocktail and it was so refreshing and delicious. My husband and I then shared the white chicken chili which was equally delicious. For our entrees, my husband ordered the miso salmon which was out of this world and I got the chicken piccata. The chicken was cooked perfectly, lightly breaded and the pasta was tossed in a wonderful lemonny piccata. I also had a Malbec which was so smooth, I wanted to order the whole bottle (but alas, I did not). And since everything else was so good, we couldn't leave without ordering dessert -- the warm butter toffee cake. My mouth is still watering thinking about it. I can't wait to go back to The Proper Restaurant!“

“Amazing food, ambiance, wine, and staff! Tucked away on Holly St., a few blocks over from Colorado. Old town local vibe. Super chill. I've been trying new restaurants in the area and decided to pop in early on a Fri nite. Got a seat at the counter overlooking the chef preparing all the meals. Ordered a rose, very tasty. Short ribs with mash potatoes. Amazing! I will definitely be back to try more things. Highly recommend. We really don't have anything like this in Pasadena.“

“Cute brunch spot w unique things. Parking is annoying to find (just street parking), there was a wait, and tbh some service was kinda rude they have experimental dishes, but overall I think we ordered well and got good food! Seasonal Shaq ($19)- tbh, this tasted like tomato sauce in a pan for me but my friend really likes their shakshuka so maybe I'm unseasoned. Their bread is yummy and fun! Rainbow Toast ($15) - their viral toast, it was good! Brioche was fluffy with nice variety of jams. Think it's steeply priced so I feel like I could make this at home LOL but good to try once Classic Latke tot ($19) - crowd favorite, this was unique and really good! Superrrr crispy potato with a lovely balance of flavors (salty/briney roe, creamy creme fraiche, sweet jam) Just a little expensive for the portion but I'd get this again! Crispy works ($15) - also a favorite from us! Crispy rice was delicious with a really good balance of flavors. It's not heavy and this portion was also really good for the price, also would get this again! Instagram - @joangela.eats“

“AltaEats offers a culinary journey with highs and lows. This was my second visit to AltaEats. The first time was a 5 out 5. This visit offered inconsistency in both food and service. The salads (burrata and caesar) at AltaEats were a standout, offering fresh and flavorful combinations. Make sure to the delicious bacon-wrapped dates; a delightful blend of sweet and savory. The rib eye was okay. It didn't quite live up to our expectations. The bread & butter and pot de creme were both delicious. We fought over the lest bits of the desert. The service was a mixed. One waitress, notably wearing a provocative necklace, left much to be desired in terms of friendliness and professionalism. On the other hand, the second waitress provided exceptional service, going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience AltaEats offers a culinary adventure with standout dishes and a mix of service experiences. Your experiences may vary. They did for me.“

“I once had a bad experience at the Burbank location. However this place seems to have gotten their act together. The food was fine a little small but fine. But the drinks, drink menu and bartenders were impressive. Attentive bartenders despite the ample size of this place. Knowledgeable too. I had 2 penicillins and a Hemingway daiquiri. My associate had a sidecar bourbon and wine. I've had drinks at the bar and outside where the bartenders open up a window and you are served from the outside. Pretty cool“

“Great spot to go with friends for lunch or to take the kids on the weekend. They have a great front patio and full bar, a back room with TVs and games for kids and a back patio that's more private. I've never hosted an event here, but seems like a great spot for a birthday party with friends on a Saturday or Sunday - Margs and tacos and lots of space for socializing. Also very kid friendly! They have a great kids menu with options for picky eaters, frozen lemonade etc. Recommend the mexi cali taco and the Philly cheese steak! So good!“

“Incredible food and atmosphere. Service felt a little slow. Maybe they were understaffed. Not a huge issue. Everyone had a great time and the food was fantastic. “We've come here a few times and the food and drinks are generally pretty good. Decent ambiance and looks like it was originally a house that was converted into a restaurant. Making reservations can be a bit of a process. Rarely will someone pick up the phone, but there is a way to make reservations online through their website which does require a credit card deposit and for you to sign up with this reservations app. Some items on the menu are a bit overpriced as some other reviewers mentions, but we would definitely come back.“

My colleague got the chicken piccatta and said it was delicious. The wait staff was very polite and food came out pretty quick given they seem to have a fairly busy lunch crowd. I can see why people come here repeatedly for lunch. It's reliable, great quality, and decently elegant ambiance.“
