During the week, the Barkley is basically a 60s era neighborhood dive bar. Fri-Sun, however, they have regular no-cover live jazz which is worth the trip. Save the drive into LA and catch some quality weekend jazz here. ?Parking: Small lot, but street parking available around both sides of the corner.
Sunday night jazz was great. Bartender was very friendly- delightful. Just wish i had known about “Cash only” - policy seems antiquated… but NO cover charge, ample free parking will definitely be going back soon.

I have never eaten here, I go for the music and sometimes have a beer. Very good staff, and eclectic music choices that are playing on the weekends at 9:00PM. A lot of people dining at that time as the kitchen is open until 10:00PM, if you want to talk you just sit in the other room. Vinyl booths, several rooms and it is great for parties.
