“I came across Playa Provisions when in town for business. It was a short Uber from the airport, so I figured I'd give it a try. This place is an absolute gem! It is a unique setup that has everything you'd possibly need from morning until late at night: Cafe in the front for coffee and fresh baked good, as well as full breakfast menu. Later in the heat of the afternoon, take a break from the beach (right across the street) and enjoy hand scooped specialty ice cream cones and shakes. Oh look, it's dinner time... and Playa Provisions opens their dining room and bar, some of the best, most relaxed ambience you'll find for miles around. But don't let the casual setting fool you, this is some incredible, elevated cuisine. Chef owners Nick and Brooke (who you might recognize) crafted a menu that's I've been eating my way through, and have yet to find a dish that's not delicious. You've been eating and drinking all day, and are exhausted? Don't leave yet! Wander into the back 'secret' whiskey bar, (Grain Whiskey Bar) and enjoy hand crafted cocktails from award winning bartenders (no, literally), in a gorgeous wood laden atmosphere. I consider myself a foodie, and try as many different restaurants and cuisines as I can. And yet, Playa Provisions remains my favorite restaurant in LA (and that's saying something, considering the amazing places in LA). Run, don't walk, to Playa Provisions. You'll thank me.“

“Tonight we, my husband and I, with our dear friends, the Crays, dined at Tomat for the first of what will be many times. The restaurant features a dining room and a roof top patio. A welcoming, comfortable space. The staff were all friendly and very knowledgeable about all menu items. Our server Miley took excellent care of us throughout dinner and dessert. She assisted us with choosing items that would pair well with each other. She was never too busy to stop to see if everything was to our liking. She brought the chef to our table so we could let him know personally how much we enjoyed his creations. He gave us a bit of background on his plan of sustainability and creativity for his restaurant. The food was amazing. We had several appetizers. The tuna carpaccio was amazing, light and dark tuna with the freshest tomatoes. The welsh rarebit was so delicious. The weiser melon with strawberry kimchi was a delicious surprise. The house milled saffron rice was amazing. Our mains did not disappoint. The trout and chips were excellent. Everyone at the table said “best trout we have ever had”. The vegetable chips were outstanding. The vaca vieja ribeye was perfectly cooked. The pork three ways with chamoy was also perfectly cooked. Dessert was madelines, warm from the oven, with the strawberry sorbet and the saffron ice cream. All were outstanding. Overall, this was a fabulous dining experience. Great food with great service in such a comfortable atmosphere. And, we have already made reservations for next month!“

“This place is amazing! They have an AWESOME happy hour and the setting (half open air bar and seating + half inside spacious restaurant) is honestly perfect for LA. Great vibes. Fantastic staff across the board. I love everyone there and wish I knew all of their names because I have only had good experiences, but Aria and Jake are two recent favorites. Highly recommend The Henry for brunch, dinner, drinks, or as mentioned - happy hour!“

“Went here for Easter brunch and was surprised I hadn’t heard of this place before. The food was great! I ordered the steak and eggs and while my steak wasn’t a perfect medium rare, the flavor and portion size made up for that immensely. The cocktails were delightful as well! Pricing was as expected for the area and quality. We were seated outside in a makeshift patio in the parking lot, but it was well done and the service was quick and attentive. Next time I would probably try to eat inside or in the smaller patio by the entrance, where the vibes and decor are beautifully done. There is ample free parking in the back as well. I will be back!“

“Ordered the off-menu Pomodoro pasta and it did not disappoint. The tomato and petit basil sauce was bright, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The wax beans were a standout - snappy and bright with serrano chile, toasted hazelnuts, and a tangy Frenchie vinaigrette. The garden lettuces were crisp and well dressed with radish vinaigrette, fresh dill, walnuts, and shallots. Good vibe, happy staff, great mix of flavors. The orange wine pairing tied it all together. “Great white is an amazing place. I’ve been there for dinner and lunch. The breakfast burrito is my favorite in all of LA but the dinner experience, the atmosphere is very fun it’s the perfect spot for casual family friendly dinner where the food is amazing The burger was delicious and so are the fish tacos. finally, the banana bread for dessert was so tasty.“

“I brought a small group to Meteora to celebrate a special achievement. The experience exceeded expectations in every way possible! The food was outstanding, with some really creative presentations. The service was absolutely impeccable ... the staff are all so personable and helped accentuate the overall experience. And the atmosphere/setting was truly unique.

I've eaten at numerous Michelin star restaurants in my life, including quite a few triple stars. This overall experience was among the best of my life, and was the very best for several of my guests. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!“

Loved the soju cocktail and Barbajuan appetizer to start, the perfectly roasted duck breast as the main, and the brown butter cake topped with passion fruit gel for dessert. “The little plates are yummy. I love the pita bread that came with the hummus (Salatim plate). The other plates were good also. I loved the bread pudding (I think it's better than the best cake). What I like the most about Bacari, besides the beautiful ambiance, is the friendliest staff.“

“I’ve never been here before so decided to come in for happy hour before we went to the Saint Felix and had a nice little visit. The interior is a little bland and it’s not very cozy but the large bar area is nice especially for socializing. Hannah served us and she was friendly and attentive. I ordered a skinny margarita and she made it very well. Nice and skinny how I like it! My second drink, I ordered a glass of the champagne from the happy hour menu and I enjoyed it because it was extra brut nice and dry, but served in a tiny tiny glass. We had an order of the jalapeño cheese sticks and they were pretty darn good but really lacked presentation. Good happy hour prices. Might be back to try some more of their food. Love the happy hour!“

“My husband & I stopped by this place for dinner. We got the avocado egg rolls, finney burger, smash burger, and sweet potato fries. My favorite thing was the sweet potato fries! Our server, Toby , was super attentive and kind. He made us feel very welcome and it was our very first time in the area so that was nice. He brought refills of our drinks before we even asked - something you rarely experience. Good food & great service. Highly recommend!“

“One of those American food chains that actually hit. The lobster pasta is flavorful garlicky and full of meat. My second time getting it and both times were about the same, very consistent. Also one of the few places with Angry Orchard on tap.“

“The servings at this restaurant are HUGE! Just know that before you make my same mistake of ordering an appetizer and a meal AND a salad.

Queso was quite good. Vegetarian options plentiful. Side salad was easily the size of a main salad. The fettuccine was on the drier side, but I’m willing to forgive them for having Gardein on their menu.“
