I’ve been here once, my experience was great. I enjoyed the Miso Salmon and the crispy sprouts were to die for. Looking forward to go back soon.
We had a lovely experience at Hinoki & The Bird! The atmosphere is lovely and organically inspired, the staff couldn’t be anymore gracious and helpful and food was great. The sourdough, perfectly baked with a crunchy crust and chewy, warm inside paired with a delicious butter a grey sea salt to sprinkle, a delightful salad, entrees that had an interesting twist like a flank steak with saamjang - a combo that’s worth trying. Hinoki & the Bird offers a positive dining experience with attentive service and delicious dishes, carefully crafted like works of art. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal. The space is lush, moody, and industrial, transporting guests to another place. The cocktail program is top-tier, with beautifully balanced drinks. The Hinoki-scented black cod is still a star, and the duck is rich, tender, and flavorful. Vegetable dishes are not an afterthought. Service is polished but relaxed, and the indoor/outdoor vibe makes it perfect for a date night or a power dinner. The food is absolutely delicious, from the crispy jidori chicken with sambal honey to the heirloom tomato & burrata salad with yuzu-shisho vinagrette, miso salmon, and braised short rib. The chefs and kitchen staff did an amazing job. The ambiance is beautiful and comforting. Hinoki & the Bird has jumped to a favorite spot, looking forward to coming back.
