“Loved everything about this place!
Staff was excellent and attentive. Food was amazing and very, very creative. The brick barrel vaulted ceiling that runs the length of the restaurant really adds to the ambiance of this place. Out of the seven dishes, only two were not as flavorful as expected. They were good by most other restaurant's standards, but just not great like the others. The other five dishes more than made up for this small blip.Can't wait to go again.

Hamachi with sprouted broccoli, tempura, ponzu, shiso aioli, Black Sesame Seeds
Charred Brussels Sprouts with almonds, grapes, and Pecorino Romano
Lamb chops with Aji Amarillo, rosemary, and yogurt. These were the most tender lamb chops I have ever had. And that often overly-lamb flavor was not there.
And do not pass up on the Charred Skirt Steak with yuca, chile de árbol, and aji mojo. Cooked to a perfect medium rare and extremely tender and exploding with flavor. The most expensive item of our dinner at $48 and absolutely worth it.“

“if you’re a muslim looking for halal burger in the valley, this place has it!! The workers were welcoming. Our food didn’t take that long, maybe 10-15 minutes. The burger fills you up. I got their vanilla milkshake and i have to say this one actually tastes good compared to all the other places that serve vanilla milkshakes. Inside of the place was rlly nice and aesthetically pleasing. Will def come back!“

“The short rib was great! The Cobb salad was good but the dressing and blue cheese fought each other a bit. Our waiter was really nice and helpful. The place is clean and bright. The string beans were good and the mashed potatoes were fluffy. Would definitely come back!“

“First off, Terrific Customer Service at the Long Beach, CA location! The manager is amazing. So helpful with recommendations when asked, provides great detail, and is so enthusiastic about the incredible menu. Tocaya at 2nd & PCH has lovely, fresh, bright, clean food. The menu is unique and flexible. You get to choose the protein you want, the cheese you want, whether or not you want your dish to be vegan. So many options and super tasty food! My friend really enjoyed the VEGAN Asada & VEGAN Tinga tacos. I loved my Taco Salad with gluten-free, battered & fried mahi-mahi (that was so, so scrumptious) with Queso Fresco. I swapped and got the cilantro lime dressing (instead of the roasted poblano dressing) and my bowl of goodies was delicious. We shared and relished the Street Corn and the (VEGAN) Queso & Chips. We were both shocked to find the Queso was VEGAN; it’s that good! We also tried the vegan Crema, just to check it out — SO yummy. AND the obviously homemade chips were mouthwatering. Tocaya has seasonal Sangria selections, beer, and other interesting drink options. They’ve got indoor and outdoor seating… and I recommend you head over soon!“
