“Stopped by Chungdam in Koreatown recently. It's definitely more of a bar and lounge, but honestly the food here is really solid across the board and I feel like people sleep on it. The beef jeon was one of my favorites, especially with the scallion salad on the side. The spicy fire chicken with cheese was another standout with plenty of heat and went perfectly with drinks. We also tried the kimchi pasta, rolled omelette, kimchi jeon, and grilled pork belly, and everything was good. We kept it classic with beer and soju, but they also have a full bar and plenty of cocktails. The atmosphere is pretty chill too. I've been here before for a Dodgers game and it's actually a great spot to grab some food, have a few drinks, and catch a game. Overall, a solid K-Town spot for food and drinks. Don't sleep on the food here because it's actually really good.“

“Great local bar with a down to earth crowd. Bartenders are all great. The Photo Booth is always a great time. They have western nights on Wednesday’s which are really fun and a nice happy hour. Very queer friendly spot with diverse patrons. Delightfully free of the type of people you’d see at Bacari or 4100 Bar. Highly recommend to dimensional, chill locals.“

“Had a private dinner and party here and the best time! The owner and operators were so helpful and pleasant to work with. I couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate our special event. Wonderful sound system, lots of space to dance and plenty of space to sit! The bathrooms were clean and the drinks were strong! The outdoor patio with the fire pit table were beautiful and comforting. And the parking was easy and close. All in all excellent!“

“We went in search of the @losdoradosla truck and found it parked in front of La Cuevita. We ventured in at around 6p and discovered that it was still Happy Hour. “My wife, daughter, and I went to The Echo last night to see SIAMES, and we had an absolute blast.

The venue is basically a small, dark box with a bar on the left and merch on the right as you face the stage. There is a bench wrapping around the back wall, which is great if you need a break from jumping around and screaming along with the band.

The place was sold out and packed, which is exactly what you would expect from a venue this size. If you need personal space, this probably is not your spot. But if you want an intimate, high-energy show where the crowd is right there with the band, it is a lot of fun.

The sound leveling was a little distorted at times, and it did feel like it could have used a better sound check, but SIAMES brought so much energy that it honestly did not ruin the night for us. We knew all the songs anyway and had a great time.

The staff also seemed to be enjoying the show, which added to the vibe. Drink prices were pretty much on par for the area and similar venues, but I am also old enough now that paying that much for a beer makes part of my soul leave my body. Still, if you just want something to keep your throat ready for more screaming, it does the job.

Overall, we had a fantastic night. The Echo is small, crowded, loud, and a little rough around the edges, but for the right show, that is exactly part of the charm.“

Driven by it 20,000 times and now I can say we ate there. Busy for a Monday night. Valet parking was free for first 2.5hrs We were there from 5-7:30 during sunset. “February 2023 we travelled to LA from San Diego for a weekend of delightful shenanigans and shows. I am a huge tea connoisseur and I adore going for high or afternoon tea. I found this place through a quick Yelp search and it had such a unique atmosphere and look that I couldn't resist. Was able to make a reservation through OpenTable.
When we arrived at the hotel...yes, Lilly Rose is located in the basement of The Wayfarer Downtown Los Angeles...we checked in with the concierge and were escorted downstairs. When we got off the elevator and entered the space all of our jaws dropped. The space is decorated so whimsically it was great. There was a fortune teller machine like the one from Big. There was a carousel horse. There was a rollercoaster bench and so much more. We were seated almost in the center of the venue in a private high backed banquette. It was a dreary rainy day so it was quite empty when we arrived but picked up about an hour after our reservation began. So the dreary, rainy day was wreaking havoc on the hotel and the heat was out in the venue so it was quite chilly. The manager who was helping us had a space heater that he let us point toward our table to stay warm. The chill didn't dampen our mood; we had enjoyed had an excellent time and experience.
Our server came over and brought a tea board with their featured teas for us to select from. I love those interactive tea boards. It's great being able to put your nose into the tea you're considering to see what the aroma and body of the tea will be. We each selected a tea and added on champagne to our tea. Our teapots arrived first and we were all happy with our selection. A short while later our tea tower was delivered to the table and had the best selection of tea sandwiches and savouries. As a regular tea attendee I've had a ton of different sandwich and savoury selections but it's always great to be surprised with others. We munched and chatted and took photos of the venue. The staff were friendly and welcoming and knowledgeable which always makes the experience that much better. Our sitting was for two hours but they didn't bum-rush us out. We were able to linger and sip tea and relax. Before we left our server was even nice enough to snap a few shots of our threesome. I can't recommend this tea enough. You will not be disappointed. “Best place in Hollywood if you're trying to get THE HAPPY HOUR. I think it goes until 8. It's super convenient to have a parking lot next to it in such a busy area. Not to mention their wings and tacos are fantastic. And of course their bartenders are beyond excellent. Check it out on Tuesdays for rock nights and if you're trying to catch a Motown vibe go there Sundays.“

“Pickle Beer, its what you should be getting when you come here. Maybe what added to this experience was when I had parked in the neighborhood behind the bars alley, in walking up the front entrance off of Los Feliz, the Pickle Beer van pulled up at the same time. That just peeked my intrigue right there and then. Plus, how can you not stop by a place named like this.

“This place really has its own atmosphere. The overall vibe is great, the alcohol selection is solid, and the bartenders are friendly and welcoming. What I liked most is that the place feels relaxed and comfortable. It does not have that aggressive energy some bars have, and it definitely does not feel like the kind of place where people are looking for trouble. The atmosphere inside feels warm and friendly.

The main downside for me was the music. It would be much better if the DJ played something that matched the actual mood of the place. When there are only two or three tables occupied, the music is still blasting as if the place is packed and everyone is waiting for a huge drop. That feels a bit out of sync with the otherwise chill and enjoyable atmosphere.

Overall, it is a nice place with a lot going for it, but the music choice and volume could really make the experience much better.“

“Modest crowd on Thursday night. We showed up at 10pm and were the only rwo people there. By 11pm the dj was rockin a good mix of old and new hip hop with some dancehall reggae. Booths are first come first serve it seems. I last came here 10 years ago and the vibe is just as fun still today.“
