“I dont know why but i expected the foosball table to be free to use (it’s not, you have to put quarters in). Otherwise this bar is pretty great for meeting people, but if you want to talk to them you probably have to go outside and smoke because the music is so loud.“

“Stopped by Chungdam in Koreatown recently. It's definitely more of a bar and lounge, but honestly the food here is really solid across the board and I feel like people sleep on it. The beef jeon was one of my favorites, especially with the scallion salad on the side. The spicy fire chicken with cheese was another standout with plenty of heat and went perfectly with drinks. We also tried the kimchi pasta, rolled omelette, kimchi jeon, and grilled pork belly, and everything was good. We kept it classic with beer and soju, but they also have a full bar and plenty of cocktails. The atmosphere is pretty chill too. I've been here before for a Dodgers game and it's actually a great spot to grab some food, have a few drinks, and catch a game. Overall, a solid K-Town spot for food and drinks. Don't sleep on the food here because it's actually really good.“

“The poolside setting is marvelous. I regret that the breakfast menu does not last through lunch time on Sundays, as it is a perfect brunch spot and I was disappointed that the excellent breakfast menu was no longer avaiable at 11:30AM, when we arrived. The spot seems undiscovered by local Hoollywood types, but that will change now that I have discovered the spot.“

“Alibi Room was so much fun. Great patio space to make up for the tiny kitchen hehe. The permanent brick and mortar for Chef Roy Choi has been on my list for a bit now. I got the Kogi Sliders and some of their Korean fries. So much more I want to choose! Andrea was a great server!!“

“Had a private dinner and party here and the best time! The owner and operators were so helpful and pleasant to work with. I couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate our special event. Wonderful sound system, lots of space to dance and plenty of space to sit! The bathrooms were clean and the drinks were strong! The outdoor patio with the fire pit table were beautiful and comforting. And the parking was easy and close. All in all excellent!“

“We went in search of the @losdoradosla truck and found it parked in front of La Cuevita. We ventured in at around 6p and discovered that it was still Happy Hour. My husband ordered an Old Fashion and said it was one of the best he’s ever had. I ordered a specialty vodka drink and it was refreshing. We’re definitely going back soon with friends!“

“Spring never disappoints! We brought friends from out of town, and we had a wonderful meal, starting with the white shrimp appetizer. The duck received rave reviews for the richness of flavor as well as the preparation. The saffron in the bourride complemented the fish. We closed with a panna cotta that was light and fresh. Spring is such a gem. We always enjoy our dinners there, and we are happy to have it in DTLA!“

“When you go in here, there's definitely an emphasis on the lodge vibe. It feels almost super saturated with wood and elk heads and any number of souvenirs from the forest. The lighting is dim, which is relaxing. Empty, it might look a little on the nose, but when it's full of people, it feels just right. I'm an introvert, but there's a power about this place that makes a big crowd seem cozy. They have bluegrass night every Tuesday, and the band I saw was top notch. I had an ale which was rather hoppy for my tastes but it was good.“

“Love this venue! There’s plenty of parking in the lots surrounding the area, which makes it very convenient. The venue itself is spacious, with areas along the back walls where you can sit or stand depending on your preference.
They have a good selection of alcoholic beverages, as well as a few food options. I ordered the chicken sandwich, and the people sitting next to us ordered the pretzel—which looked delicious and smelled even better! 😋

“Great food. I ordered the chicken blt and chips and salsa. The salsa wasn't hot enough but ooh well it was good enough. Andrew the bartender was amazing. The karoke was nice. My only problem is the karoke host did not at any time wipe down any mics after countless people used it and with the drinks flowing and people having a good time like me that made me nervous. I wanted so bad to get up there and sing.“

“What a lovely place. I have been wanting to check this restaurant out for awhile now and it did not disappoint. Of course the view was amazing from the 17th floor. The food was delicious. The combination of flavors was so incredible and the staff was on top of things.“

“February 2023 we travelled to LA from San Diego for a weekend of delightful shenanigans and shows. I am a huge tea connoisseur and I adore going for high or afternoon tea. I found this place through a quick Yelp search and it had such a unique atmosphere and look that I couldn't resist. Was able to make a reservation through OpenTable.
When we arrived at the hotel...yes, Lilly Rose is located in the basement of The Wayfarer Downtown Los Angeles...we checked in with the concierge and were escorted downstairs. When we got off the elevator and entered the space all of our jaws dropped. The space is decorated so whimsically it was great. There was a fortune teller machine like the one from Big. There was a carousel horse. There was a rollercoaster bench and so much more. We were seated almost in the center of the venue in a private high backed banquette. It was a dreary rainy day so it was quite empty when we arrived but picked up about an hour after our reservation began. So the dreary, rainy day was wreaking havoc on the hotel and the heat was out in the venue so it was quite chilly. The manager who was helping us had a space heater that he let us point toward our table to stay warm. The chill didn't dampen our mood; we had enjoyed had an excellent time and experience.
Our server came over and brought a tea board with their featured teas for us to select from. I love those interactive tea boards. It's great being able to put your nose into the tea you're considering to see what the aroma and body of the tea will be. We each selected a tea and added on champagne to our tea. Our teapots arrived first and we were all happy with our selection. A short while later our tea tower was delivered to the table and had the best selection of tea sandwiches and savouries. As a regular tea attendee I've had a ton of different sandwich and savoury selections but it's always great to be surprised with others. We munched and chatted and took photos of the venue. The staff were friendly and welcoming and knowledgeable which always makes the experience that much better. Our sitting was for two hours but they didn't bum-rush us out. We were able to linger and sip tea and relax. Before we left our server was even nice enough to snap a few shots of our threesome. I can't recommend this tea enough. You will not be disappointed.
