Downey's best kept secret for Mexican food!! amazing food and great service!!
First experience after landing in LA and was wowed. Food was great and portions substantial. Atmosphere is unlike any other, makes you feel like home no matter where you're from. We even got complimentary world cup beer glasses. 10/10 👏👏👏
A Brazilian guy who is currently living in Australia decided to spend an afternoon at Maria's and had a BLAST. The food is divine, the atmosphere is amazing. And Maria is just an angel. Viva Maria. Viva Mexico

Maria's Bar & Grill serves good home cooked Mexican food with ice cold beer. The tacos dorados de pollo are the absolute best, and the 3 chicken taquito plate comes with plenty of fresh guacamole, cotija cheese, crisp lettuce, and sour cream. The beans and rice are flavorful and delicious, not just an afterthought. The salsa completely exceeded heat expectations. The campechana plate, tacos dorados sampler, and asada fries are all great. Service and food are amazing, with friendly and kind staff. The place can get crowded, especially during a Dodger game, but they have great specials worth the wait. The food is affordable and amazing. A great little hole in the wall place.
