“The Birria is the best here! Super tender, so much flavor, and so many different varieties and ways they serve it. They do tacos, burritos, pizzas, ramen. It's so good! It's the most authentic birria spot I've ever had. We have came back so many times now and has been consistent every single time. Inside is small, but they also have seating outside as well. Service is consistently good as well, I believe it's a family ran business so come out, give it a try, and support a local business! You won't regret it.“
“Drove down from van nuys to try this place out with my two younger siblings, and I quote from two 16 year olds.. the most worth it thing ever haha the portions are great Liza made us feel right at home and when u say we were absolutely satisfied with everything you gotta try the asada hot Cheeto fries they are to die for and the lebamex sauce really brings everything together 10/10 you guys would make a killing in the valley Ali!!!“
“Great plant based vegan Mexican food. I've been here a few times, and it doesn't let down when it comes to great flavors popping with your tastebuds. I've had something different every time, and it's just great. The vegan asada is delish as well, I would invite those "non-plant based" eaters to come give it a try.Being honest, great food, but a little bit high on the price, but with everything going up these days not much we can do but maybe ask to have a discount day from time to time, or maybe a rewards program to lower price after certain orders, or a free entre after 10 ordered, something like that would be awesome as well. For now bring a date or the family and enjoy.“
“I came to La for 3 days alone. And it was my first time traveling alone in general so I decided to treat myself to a nice solo dinner for the first time in my entire life and I’m so glad I chose it to be here. I went in the evening so there was live music so everything made me feel so comfortable. The staff was to attentive to me from start to finish. Everything I had was delicious. I got the aguachiles rojos, the tacos de pulpo, and churros to finish off. I was alone but I didn’t feel alone because everyone was so kind and checking if I needed anything and if everything was going great. I will absolutely visit again anytime I’m in town and recommend the delicious food and beautiful atmosphere to anyone I know visiting ?“
“Been coming sense i was 15 years..im 20 and more years to come. Food and service is always good, the ambiance of this resturaunt is outstanding. I always get the number 17, Taco and a tamale with rice Nd beans. Can never go wrong, even tho prices have gone up..food has remained the same.“
“El servicio al cliente EXCELENTE! La ranchera está marinada En su punto, no tiene Mucho condimento. La desebrada ( arrachera) tierna y saborsa. Y las tortillas se harina me encanta, especialmente las que están cerca de la caja de pagar. Muy limpio el negocio!“
“I love the atmosphere here. The servers are nice and friendly, service is great overall. I tried their mango tostada for breakfast ? which was delicious. I also had a mimosa flight ?. I went on a Saturday and they had a DJ playing. Highly recommend if you are in the area.“
“Excellent service and great seasoning, highly recommended. It has become one of my favorite places to eat alone and with family, I have been going for a while now and they have not failed me, all the staff are always very friendly, from the waiters Felix and Amneris to their kitchen staff.“
“We came to celebrate my aunts birthday and the service, atmosphere and food were PHENOMENAL. Big shout out to Fabian our waiter, his attitude & attention towards us was nothing like I’ve ever experienced before. 11/10 would recommend!! Thank you :)“
“Buddy's Bday, they brought out their very special bday celebration, beans with cheese and 2 chips inside, it was epic. We were drunk and had a great time, good food, good atmosphere, TV's, the server knew what time it wasn They serve Tall cans of beer, so lfg! Def be “
“Love coming here. The service is always great. We always seem to get Pepe but he’s so nice and attentive so we don’t mind. The drinks are really good too both the alcoholic and nonalcoholic ones. My husband says their pina agua Fresca is the best he’s ever had. Plus they have vegan options that’s why we go, their vegan ceviche is chefs kiss! Plus they complimentary chips and salsa are amazing as well. I would definitely buy that salsa to always have at home.“
“I love the molcajete at this place and their handmade tortillas. The only bad thing is that for takeout they charge you an extra charge for packing your molcajete with the rice and beans separately. It's absurd because that dish is not served all together and for takeout. It should be the same without any extra charge in the head, it is possible to deliver a molcajete to take away in a single container, everything mixed apart that they use a small plate where all the sauce is in the bag and all the guacamole mixed with everything, Mr. Manager, be careful, the customers deserve the same quality both in the restaurant and for takeaway, they charge us the same, their dishes must be served in the same way without abusing the customer“
“My husband surprised me with a nice dinner for my birthday. This place was so lovely. The decor is beautiful. My husband made reservations, so they sat us quickly. Our server was friendly and the food was delicious! The mashed potatoes and the steak were perfect. I also love the sign they gave me for my birthday. They made my special day extra special and I appreciate it. Will definitely come back!Parking: There is a parking lot in front of the restaurant with ample parking.“
“So far, everything I have tried has been a hit except the campechana. They had no problem taking it back and offered something else in return. From the breakfast burrito to the octopus, everything has been pleasant. To my coffee lovers, you must try the CAFÉ DE OLLA they offer and the desert they serve.Wheelchair accessibility: Side ramp“
“Delicious Mexican food , my go to plate is the tampiquena , , they also have great tasting margaritas for a lunch date or for a family dinner . The ambiance is very pleasing , with the soft decor inside . It vibe inside isn't loud , it's comforting . Perfect inside sizing .“
“These are the best steamed tacos in the area. Menu is simple just head, cheek, lip, tongue and beef tacos. They have menudo on the weekends and that's about it. Still very delicious, their habanero salsa for the tacos is on point, great flavor and very spicy.“
“This place is amazing it’s decorated so nice & pink. I would recommend this place for a bridal shower, birthday celebration or just a girls night out.The place is small but it’s cute. Even the restroom is decorated cute. The food is amazing. Come hungry or be prepared to take left overs the plates are huge. The prices are reasonable. The coffee is delicious the presentation of everything is amazing. So many cute picture taking spots.I will take one star off because the tables are super small, for such huge plates the plates don’t even fit on the tables (look at the pic) I had to be holding one place while I ate other wise it would of fallen off the table, also their was only one waitress attending this huge crowd I get it almost everyone is short staff, but I’m paying for a service. I had to flag her a couple of times to get more coffee.I do recommend this cute place after all it’s reasonably price & the food is delicious just ask for a big table.“
“Came here on a Friday evening with my bestfriend. (We needed a drink) We walked up and were immediately greeted. It wasn't a busy night so we were offered Bar seating, indoor, or patio. We chose patio as long as we can get a heater. Our waiter PePe was very nice and explained items on the menu very well. (Bestie and I always refer back to yelp for pictures and reviews anyway) The restaurant was nice, artistic expression everywhere. Very Boho. I ordered the 2x1 Classic Margaritas on the happy hour menu. I usually change the tequila, but i wanted to try the drinks the way they make it since this was my first time, so house tequila it was. The drinks were soooo good! Wasn't the strongest (which is fine) but the mix was literally perfect. My Bestie got the TamarindSpell. Im not a big Tamarind nor Chili with my drink type of girl, but her drink was really really good. Very surprising. Lol i think it got a little overwhelming at the end but she really liked it for the most part. The chips and salsa came out around the same time, which the salsa was pretty flavorless to us. It tasted like flavorless blended stewed tomatoes. My bestfriend asked if they had a green salsa to go with her tacos, which tasted wayyy better with the chips. I ordered the GoberNader (3 shrimp tacos) also ordered the Langostinos. Both were extremely good. The Langostinos comes with the full head attached but cut in half. Flavor is similar to a crab boil. The cucumber salad is just cut cucumber, a couple of pickled onion, and hot sauce dabbed on top(not exactly a salad, but i like cucumber so i wasn't complaining). My tacos were really good, i didnt really need any salsa, but i die for guac on my tacos, so we eventually ordered guacamole. Which the guacamole wasn't bad, i thought it needed a little salt & maybe pepper. Bestie ordered the Kesabirria, she liked them but she definitely asked for the green salsa on the side. Overall, really good place. Will probably come back with the rest of our girlys. Give the drinks another run!“
“This is such a a great little gem. The artwork and overall vibe of this place is amazing!! Prices are reasonable and the service was great!! Very friendly people and knowledgeable about the food. The food is amazing! Everything has such great flavor! My favorite is chilaquilas and these were phenomenal. Will definitely come back.“
“It's been two years since I visited this location. Was NOT pleased then about the food, service or wait time. So WE'RE BACK! And I have to say.... We were very pleased this go round. Was able to get a seat at the bar. Didn't have to wait long for Service. Bartender Iassac was Awesome, couldn't remember the other young lady's name? Great service & food. Ordered one of my fav meals and appetizer: Fried Cauliflower & Orange chicken w/brown rice, beverage was a cucumber lemonade ? My friend ordered a salmon, asparagus and loaded potatoes meal. Can't remember the name? Food arrived on time was fresh and delicious ? Couldn't finish it all, so that's lunch for tomorrow. However, I did order Linda's Fudge Cake to-go also for work tomorrow. I have renewed faith at the Cerritos location. PLEASE KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. Parking is another beast of it's own lol. Thankful to face gotten parking not too far from the restaurant. For I have use of a cane. We shall return CCF!!!“
“We were craving ceviche and decided to try this spot, we ordered fish and shrimp ceviche both medium and 5 fish tacos, the total was $50 ouch! The fish ceviche was good, the shrimp just okay, the fish tacos were good and massive, you can easily make two tacos out of one. Staff were very nice!“
“Oh. So. Good. Food? Check! Ambience? Meh. Service? Fantastic! Two outta' three is super. Their homemade tortillas are amazing--find a way to have those!--as is their homemade chipotle (that's chi-pote-lay, not chi-pole-tay, folks) sauce. DAYUM. Need I say more? No. Go there. Eat. You'll be glad (or gassy) you did!“
“I really enjoyed this place in the middle of the week. It was a business meeting/dinner, so I wasn't too sure it was the right venue. However, the staff sat us down in an area where we were not in the center and was rather perfect!Food was great and we were glad the service staff was not approaching us all the time.“
“It’s a great little spot to go to for a quick bite. They make everything there quick and fresh and it’s easy to find. The elderly couple that own and operate this little hole in the wall, are very sweet kind people. The pricing for the food here is really good for the servings of food they give.Parking: There isn’t much parking space offered here but it is typically always available. When it does get busy, there is a small plaza across the street with free parking. Street parking is also available but is hard to find an open spot.“
“I was stuck on the 5 fwy going out of town for Easter day and was craving tacos. Google took me to Tacos El Grullo. It's a small restaurant and the tacos didn't disappoint! We ordered the Chile relleno asada tacos, asada nopal tacos and the biria tacos. All of the tacos had some much flavor and they gave us cooked onions/jalapenos with salsas to go. Price was reasonable. If I'm driving out of town I will stop by again.“
“I've been coming here for years. This place is very small but worth it. The tamales are on point. I definitely recommend if your going to get tamales order ahead as they do take orders starting in October. The staff is very friendly as well.“
“The food is sooo tasty! The smokey flavor carne asada is awesome. The salsa tastes great. I been here a few times. I always get the quesadilla de tinga which I highly recommend. Today though I tried the chilaquiles. Wow! Ask for them with a strip of carne asada on top.“
“Paco was excellent when me and my girls went to celebrate my birthday last week. Very friendly and engaged with us. Told us some stories about past customers. The tacos were good and the miches good as well. Will definitely return in the future.“
“Update Jan 24: Just tried the small nachos and it was the worst nachos ever for $13, I should have just stuck with getting a burrito!Highly recommend getting a burrito, especially a breakfast burrito or a bean cheese with your choice of meat burrito. I'm a huge fan of California burritos but the CA burrito here isn't the best but it's not bad. The salsas green and red are amazing so get a few. The service here is not bad either though you can catch a few workers bored on their phones but they're friendly. Place seems clean for a very public open space and there's a drive thru. There are only a few spots to park and they can be blocked by cars waiting to place an order in the drive thru. I recommend parking perhaps on the street then just walking over to place an order either to dine in or takeout. I definitely recommend this place and I'm looking forward to trying everything on the menu, but the last time I was here, Dec 2023 there was a sign indicating they're moving locations soon. Don't know where yet. TBD I guess.Parking: There are a handful of spots which can be blocked by cars waiting at drive thruKid-friendliness: Yes kids would like it here if they like Mexican foodWheelchair accessibility: Yeah this place works with wheelchairs“
“We were around the neighborhood and tried to find some authentic Mexican food to eat. After searching and reading reviews, we decided to give it a try. As other reviews mentioned, it's for to-go orders only now. We order their burritos. Kids had carne asada and I had al pastor. The food was ready pretty fast and they were nicely wrapped and hot. They were yummy and super fulfilling! Luckily I asked for the sauce on the side because the red sauce was super spicy and tasty! I love spicy food but I wanted to taste the burrito, too. ?. We didn't take any pictures because we were super hungry and there was nothing left for taking pictures. This place is a gem and I will definitely go back.“
“Food is great....if your ever near downey and craving tacos on a Thursday...make sure to stop here!!! 2 tacos $1.75 Taco Thursday Special. Don't quote me on the price but something like that for sure. Took my pops with me once...for 9 tacos and 2 large drinks it was $9 and some change. Definitely recommend. Breakfast items also really good.“
“When to try the buffet, we waited, maybe like 5 minutes. When we got to the table, the waiter asked what we wanted to drink, and she said what they had in the buffet, and we tried everything in the buffet. To be honest, the food was delicious. The service was amazing and only paid $53 for two people.“
“This is like a little taco stand/shop right out of Tijuana, Mexico. The food is all delicious, they specialize in Al Pastor. My only gripe, the physical location is a bit rundown and I had to watch a cockroach battle a spiderweb while eating, not the type imagery that makes you hungry.I had the Al Pastor quesadilla which was really filling, total cost was around, $8.50.Pro tip: they prefer cash, you get a 4% discount if you pay with cash, OR, you pay a 4% premium if you use a credit card. #CASHISKING“
“Best restaurant I been in that I was able to talk to my moma without yelling or felling uncomfortable or even having a " ONE" culture feeling zone thank you all for my day to be with my mom , you made your place a joyful occasion where my family haven't seen each other it was a blessing but unfortunately 1 person wasn't welcome, but all in all I say Thank You IT WAS MY MOM MARY SMILE THAT MADE OUR DAY ❤️?BE FULL OF JOY THANKS TO KING JESUS amen !!! so mush I will tell everyone of your place? GOD BLESS ??✝️?⚘️“
“The restaurant employees are patient and kind. This was my first time coming here and the gentleman was very helpful. The paramount area was clean. I ordered chicken and carne asada fries and it was delicious. I will be coming back to order something else!Parking: Alberto’s have free parking in their lot.“
“I recently visited Leo's Tacos located in a food court mall and had a great experience. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the burrito of asada that I ordered. The rice had a hint of spice seasoning, which added to the flavor without overpowering the dish. The asada was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy. I also appreciated that they added sour cream to the burrito, which made it even more flavorful. The prices were quite reasonable compared to other food court restaurants, which was a plus. Overall, I highly recommend Leo's Tacos and would definitely eat there again.“
“Let me start with how clean this restaurant is, spotless! No wonder the food is so good, they take pride! We both had the Chili Verde burrito (wet), fries , chips and salsa. Everything was fresh and delicious. ( I think they make their own chips)The service was super quick and friendly. We'll definitely be back.“
“Decided to give Los Sombreros a try. Came well after dinner rush, so there were only 3 other tables with guests when I walked in. Was greeted quickly and asked for XX, when I received my cerveza it was good and cold. Placed my order for #14 plate, Chicken Mole, Beans & Rice with four tortillas. (came with also a small salad with thousand island dressing) When I received my food it was piping hot. And was pretty darn good. If you decide to try this plate, be prepared it's spicy. But I like it that way. Waitress also let me know it was spicy, which was fine. Waitress was attentive and nice. Since I went after "dinner" time/rush I have no idea how service would be then during the dinner rush. Can only comment for period I was there. The salsa that came with the chips was really good. I'm a person that never give full stars, where it may be deserved. But my theory is, there is always room for improvement. I don't have anything bad to say about Los Sombreros. My 4 stars should be 4.5, as the .5 is the part where there is always room for improvement. Restaurant was nice and clean, seats/booths were not worn. I didn't make a trip to the restroom, but from the appearance of the interior I trust the mens restroom was clean. I'll definitely go back. And try another plate. Cheers!“
“First time discovering fonda maria and the place was honestly great, iced Cafe de olla was delicious and I paired my drink with tacos de birria + service was very friendly and the prices are pretty fair compared to other mexican joints in the area and it was a comforting meal after a long shift, will def be coming back :“
“OMG - the food are amazing! It is NOT your typical taco restaurant. This is for the adventurous ones! I love it. The Tablita option is WOW!!! Head, cheeks, blood, etc...for the adventurous people! I love the head! I ordered the pork belly taco and it was literally a slap of pork belly for my one taco! Definitely recommend for anyone who loves food and unique food. The parking lot is big, but not enough to accommodate during lunch hours, so watch out for that.Parking: can be very crowded during lunch hours and everyone is vying for space“
“As entreprenuers we travel the world and the unknown and get to have great experiences with people. Today we visited World Famous Grill in Downey and Hassan was the perfect gentleman. He helped us with a Kabob Combo Plate with hummus, rice salad and pita bread along with their famous Western Burger which was monstrous and delicious. Our daughter was also able to order chicken nuggets and fries as well. We appreciate these small businesses opposed to all the BIG corporations who usually say no to us asking for food. Thank you again World Famous Grill.“
