The food is consistently amazing rich in flavor, homemade, and prepared with genuine care and tradition. Despite what may appear online, the restaurant is NOT permanently closed, they are OPEN and actively serving customers. Please don’t let that misinformation stop you from visiting. Every dish I’ve tried has been excellent, but the tamales are truly unforgettable, hands down some of the best I’ve ever had. This place is a true hidden gem that deserves recognition and continued support.“

“It's a shame that Rubios had to close down so many restaurants. When we are nearby one, we have to have it if we're hungry.
5 stars doesn't mean it's the best food but considering what it costs to eat at most of those nasty unhealthy fast food joints, I'd take Rubios all day.“

This place is really cool. They had a live DJ. Their service was on point. Everyone we interacted with was so kind.
But let me get to the good stuff. Their food was absolutely delicious. Wow. Their salsa is served warm and perfect.
Try anything with their consome.
4 mares was so good.
Taquitos and their tacos are full of flavor.
We tried a few of their mixed drinks. All of them very good. We will be back soon.“

“The food is sooo tasty! The smokey flavor carne asada is awesome. The salsa tastes great. I been here a few times. I always get the quesadilla de tinga which I highly recommend. Today though I tried the chilaquiles. Wow! Ask for them with a strip of carne asada on top.“

“First time at Tacos Raul and I was seriously impressed! I ordered the wet burrito and it was so good, flavorful meat, perfect seasoning, and a generous portion. What made it even better? It came with a horchata included, which was super refreshing and tasty.

Service was fast and prices are cheaper than other spots I've been to, but the quality doesn't feel cheap at all. The dining area was clean and not overcrowded when I visited, making it a really chill spot to enjoy my food. Plus, there was plenty of parking outside, which is always a win.

“The restaurant was quite when we arrived, but they were quick to let us take a booth and brought us our menus. There was no wait for the food and It was nice a hot, I had to let it cool down. Best mom and pop. I highly recommend their Tuesday special you HAVE to try their hard shelled tacos!!!! The ceviche mixta was fresh and my husband says the shrimp were cleaned, and you can tell it wasn't frozen. We even had dessert. Please come on by. We will return!!!“

“looked up this place on yelp a few days ago while looking for menudo and parole. we were on a time constraint so ate elsewhere. Today went to eat brunch across street from yolis but line was too long. leaving driveway we saw Yoli's and decided to eat there. Wow were we impressed!! the place is small but comfy, staff very friendly and fast service. Food was delicious! I had the tamale, crunchy taco with rice n beans. wife and daughter had parole. All the food was very flavorful like homemade!! Chips n salsas were awesome!! Great fruit infused water. juices, fountain sodas. “The food is very good here. We had spicy green pork burritos the meat was so tender. Our daughter had beef flautas and they too were very good. Tender beef too. We use to go here all the time when they were on Firestone in Downey. I just think the green sauce use to be spicy but it wasnt the last few times we've been there. But still the best mexican place around. I wish they would put one in La Habra 😁“

“The meat has some of the better flavor ive seen in a long time. Tried the tacos and tortas and they were good. The torta seems a bit off. I feel like they are using the wrong ingredients or the incorrect order because the lettuce was soggy and drove down the taste. By no means is this bad food. I think it just needs some rethinking. Dont change the meat. Do avocado instead of guac on the torta. Find a way to keep the lettuce crispy. And i think the cilantro may not belong in the torta. But other than that this is a good restaurant. I think with some small tweaks, it deserves a 5 star.“

“Had the pleasure of visiting Tacos El Sobrino in the city of Downey, CA.
I've been enjoying their food for years from a their location off of 54th Street and Central where they sell Excellent Tendon Tacos. Now, they have this Brick and Mortar location.
I had the Birria Ramen and a Tendon Taco. Everything was delicious! Will be back again.“

“I have been dining here a couple of years and I have never been disappointed. The food is excellent, the place is Always spotless, the prices are reasonable and the people are very nice. We go about once a week. It's about a ten mile trip and worth the drive. One last plus, the dining room is usually open until 2 or 3 in the morning, great for us night owls and people who have to work late shifts.“

“The chicken they use for the chicken bowl and enchiladas are ok not my favorite, but the chicken from the 2-4 piece meals is really good, definitely recommend 👌🏽
Also, you won't see it on their menu but they have a really good chicken soup 😋
