The food is consistently amazing rich in flavor, homemade, and prepared with genuine care and tradition. Despite what may appear online, the restaurant is NOT permanently closed, they are OPEN and actively serving customers. Please don’t let that misinformation stop you from visiting. Every dish I’ve tried has been excellent, but the tamales are truly unforgettable, hands down some of the best I’ve ever had. “The food was exceptional for what I call sit- down fast food. I had never eaten there before so I loved the shrimp tacos and chicken taquitos with quest sauce drizzled on top. Just the right amount too!
The inside of this location was in desperate need of sweeping and clean tables (I had to request a towel to do it myself before the staff member wiped the table).
I will go back again one day soon as the food is starting me to return.
In returning to this particular location in Downey, I hope the person whose job it is to sweep and clean tables is doing a better job.

“First time at Tacos Raul and I was seriously impressed! I ordered the wet burrito and it was so good, flavorful meat, perfect seasoning, and a generous portion. What made it even better? It came with a horchata included, which was super refreshing and tasty.

Service was fast and prices are cheaper than other spots I've been to, but the quality doesn't feel cheap at all. The dining area was clean and not overcrowded when I visited, making it a really chill spot to enjoy my food. Plus, there was plenty of parking outside, which is always a win.

Passed by on a Monday and they had a Shrimp Taco DEAL 1.75. Shrimos are fried, they were Tried and Verified, Tasty, Crispy on the outside soft /firm Fresh on the inside. If you looking for tiny tacos with no flavor then dont come here.
I ran the numbers, you can get 9 tacos for under $20.
Also was 2x1 shrimp cocktail Mexican style 17.50
Taco Tuesday special is $8 for 3, looks like fresh shrimp not fried, hard shell tacos.

“looked up this place on yelp a few days ago while looking for menudo and parole. we were on a time constraint so ate elsewhere. Today went to eat brunch across street from yolis but line was too long. leaving driveway we saw Yoli's and decided to eat there. Wow were we impressed!! the place is small but comfy, staff very friendly and fast service. Food was delicious! I had the tamale, crunchy taco with rice n beans. wife and daughter had parole. “HUGE menu for drinks and food. There was so much, I had to flip thru like 5 times until I decided what I wanted. Seeing pictures just made it harder to decide. We were a table of 4, coming in right after the soccer game ended - so there was no wait. We sat on the patio because it was loud (and fun) inside. The taquitos and tacos are yummy. We tried the chicken, asada, and carnitas. Carnitas were my favorite. Try the Michi’s! Great service. Our waitress was VERY attentive and helpful“

I've been enjoying their food for years from a their location off of 54th Street and Central where they sell Excellent Tendon Tacos. Now, they have this Brick and Mortar location.
I had the Birria Ramen and a Tendon Taco. Everything was delicious! Will be back again.“

“The meat has some of the better flavor ive seen in a long time. Tried the tacos and tortas and they were good. The torta seems a bit off. I feel like they are using the wrong ingredients or the incorrect order because the lettuce was soggy and drove down the taste. By no means is this bad food. I think it just needs some rethinking. Dont change the meat. Do avocado instead of guac on the torta. Find a way to keep the lettuce crispy. And i think the cilantro may not belong in the torta. But other than that this is a good restaurant. I think with some small tweaks, it deserves a 5 star.“

I spoke with Philly who was so very nice and gave great assistance with how to go about placing my order. I placed my order on line.(50bowls). I called the day of pick up just to follow up. Everything was right on schedule. Pick was great and quick. He helped me load the car. Our girl and coaches had a great meal after our game Sadly we lost. But I was glad to meet such a great restaurant staff with such great leadership.“
