“Okay this is a weird one. The establishment is rather small and outdated compared to other Shakey’s around the area, however the silver lining presents itself in the taste and quality of the food. I ate here during the lunch special and the food was always kept hot and was always being refilled as soon as it ran out. The game selection isn’t the biggest but it offered a fair amount of tickets per game. The prizes are few and far between but the few things they have are pretty good for children. This Shakey’s facade is a bit outdated both inside and out, but it makes up for it by offering a home like feeling from the atmosphere and staff.“
“The pizza and service were great... the only thing is that my order was sitting on the warmer for almost 10 minutes until i asked for it. Other than that, it was good. I definitely will visit again. I just hope that doesn't happen again.“
“Food was really good! Definitely worth it. The drinks were okay, could use some improvement, beer tasted old. Some drinks could use more flavor. Service was excellent! Music was really loud but what do expect lol overall I would definitely come back and recommend this place.“
“I'm a old customer, been eating at this place for years, I can't recall how many years but the pizza here is incredibly delicious. I would've gave this place 5 stars but at my most recent visit, I started to notice that the pizzas were smaller and for the beef pizza with pepperoni, the beef changed from small pieces but more portions of it to marble shaped sizes but smaller portions. Now, they arent serving more of the toppings as before, which disappointed me and my family. I also got a Hawaiian pizza and also had fewer toppings. The pizza cutting skills arent the best but overall everything else is going fine. I'm waiting to see more toppings, but not the downfall of this business. “Their pizza is AMAZING and I'm really picky about pizza. The lasagna is super fresh and can feed like four people. Second time here and the pizza was consistent. Super fresh ingredients and tasty pizza sauce and marinara. Can't wait to have it again.“
“The best Mexican Panadería in Downey! With so many Mexican bakeries in LA, it's hard to find the ones that are actually good. Well, this one is one of them! Their concha's are on point! Especially the mini-conchas! They are a favorite in our household. Prices are pretty reasonable as well. I would highly recommend this panadería. Pro tip- if you want mini conchas, go early because they run out!“
“Hands down the one of the best Pizza Hut still in existence. I'm solely talking about the food to be specific sausage & pepperoni pizza /wings. If u think Pizza Hut hasn't been tasting the same, this location will bring back the nostalgia. Corporate, need to take some lessons from the cooks at this location. Keep doing y'all thing. Give them a raise at this location.“
“Stopped by with my friends for dinner. They sat us quickly, and we were able to watch the game as we waited for our order to be taken. Service was quick and friendly. We ordered the Al Pastor Pizza, The Alfredo Pizza, and the Downey Special. It was delicious and super cheesy! Will be coming back again.Parking: Plenty of parking is available in front of the location in their own private lot. Parking is free.“
