“This place has replaced Benihana for my family of 4. The food is just as good if not better! The chef is still in plain sight which I like because I can see my food being cooked. The staff came to our table a few times to check on us even though it's not serviced that way. They prepare your food and you sit and eat. Simple and it doesn't take 3 hours like benihana. I love that we can come here and just be served amazing hibachi without the long wait. We are regulars now and hope they are here to stay for a while! Oh, and the veggies are AMAZING!“

“I think this had to be some of the best teriyaki I've ever had or at least that I've had in a very long time friendly staff decent portions but I think the medium bowl is close to the same size as the large so you'd probably be better off with the medium sized bowl if that's what you get but very very happy with the food I got and am very much looking forward to going back very soon and trying other things“

It's my first time here I go to school across the street. I ordered the chicken and beef teriyaki bowl. Wasn't sure if I was gonna need the plate because I wasn't sure how much food came in the bowl but wow! It's a good size bowl and it's full of chicken and beef. It's not just all rice. The price was under $20 for a drink and bowl with avocado add on. I'm very happy with my lunch! It's really fresh and no weird pieces of meat. The teriyaki has a really good flavor, I did add extra sauce to my bowl. It's very tasty. I'll definitely be back.“

The flounder & shrimp sushi were super fresh, the crispy rice with spicy tuna had the perfect crunch, and the Garlic Albacore was especially flavorful. The salmon blue crab with truffle was rich, buttery, and packed with flavor without feeling too heavy.

“Sushi & Teriyaki Plus is a great place to dine, have delivery or take away. It is an adorable. It is not large. Parking is easy and free.

There really is nothing you will not like there. Personally, we consider the shrimp tempura to be the best. But they have a great menu and you will find something you want. We also love their seaweed salad and their fried rice. It is all just great.

Their tuna sushi and their California roll are perfect.

The service is ever so friendly and they are fast. You order at the counter and they will call you when it is ready.

The place is just cute, not too big and not too small. The prices are fair. If you are in Downey this is a must stop. Have the best time. You will love it.“

They had this toast with avocado, onions and tomatoes 10 out of 10 I even tried their breakfast udon and the broth was so delicious. My wife and I stopped there as we were staying at the Hampton inn in the same area. I had a yellowtail roll along with tempura and my wife had the salmon. Vegetables were perfect presentation was spot on for casual dining and my roll was one of the best I’ve had. Perfect proportion of spicy tuna to yellowtail to rice. We got yellowtail Nigiri, popcorn lobster roll, shrimp tempura roll, salmon Philadelphia roll, edamame, and strawberry mochi :) all were delicious but the Edamame surprised us as it has a delicious pepper garlic spicy sauce :) everything was delightful and the atmosphere was great too. Only one thing that I don’t like is PARKING! It’s hard to find parking there.“

I also really liked the sauce on the salad that came with the set. I also had donkatsu and cream curry udon and they were both really good as well. Highly recommend. “Sushi Hama is honestly the best sushi spot around here. It’s my go-to and still my all-time favorite in the area.

The fish quality is seriously so good — super fresh, clean, and just melts in your mouth. You can really tell they care about what they serve. The sashimi is a must. The cuts are thick and generous, and it just hits every time.

The staff are always so friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole vibe even better. And the portions? So generous. I always leave completely full and happy.

There was a barely noticeable wait and we spent it eagerly looking at the menu. Service extremely prompt and scrupulous. Place is a bit small and they fill the space, so be prepared for loud noises. Food came out pretty fast, especially for being slammed, and it was all very, very good! Tried the ramen, udon, and one of the 'baked' rolls. 100% would come back to try more of all of the above!“
