“This place has replaced Benihana for my family of 4. The food is just as good if not better! The chef is still in plain sight which I like because I can see my food being cooked. The staff came to our table a few times to check on us even though it's not serviced that way. They prepare your food and you sit and eat. Simple and it doesn't take 3 hours like benihana. I love that we can come here and just be served amazing hibachi without the long wait. We are regulars now and hope they are here to stay for a while! Oh, and the veggies are AMAZING!“

“I think this had to be some of the best teriyaki I've ever had or at least that I've had in a very long time friendly staff decent portions but I think the medium bowl is close to the same size as the large so you'd probably be better off with the medium sized bowl if that's what you get but very very happy with the food I got and am very much looking forward to going back very soon and trying other things“

“We had a really nice experience! The side of the restaurant has enough space for a few tables to dine in, and it felt cozy. The service was quick, friendly, and efficient. I liked that they had sauces and water available right at the tables for self-service.

We dined in, and everything came out fast! We spent around $40 for a chicken bowl, two sushi rolls, and two miso soups ,perfect for two adults and a toddler. The food was amazing! My husband said the teriyaki chicken was really good, and I agree. the chicken was juicy, not dry at all. The salmon sushi was good too, just a little warm for my husband’s liking, but overall, everything had great flavor.

The music was a fun surprise, they were playing some techno, which we didn’t mind at all! It actually made the experience more fun. We even found ourselves dancing a little while eating. Definitely a place we’d come back to!“

“Went for my birthday and i am more than pleased. The food, service and resturant was all amazing. There were options for all people who may have diet restrictions. My 7 year old had a great time with the chicken wings and the octopus and shrimp sushi. The ramen was super good and the eel was amazing have 0 complaints and i will be returning here very soon as often as i can!“

“Usually I save TikTok videos of restaurants I wanna try when I travel to LA but we were starving when we got out of the source oc plaza and just randomly searched a ramen place nearby. This was the place nearest to us that the ramen pics looked appealing. I have to say the ramen here was amazing. It tasted almost the same to the ramen we tried in our trip to Tokyo. And our server was so nice and attentive. He was so sweet that he gave our mom her drink for free since she wasn’t going to consume food due to not liking ramen but she was accompanying us. Found this place by accident but i have now marked it as a favorite and will definitely go back!“

“Cozy Japanese place perfect to grab lunch at! We got a rice ball, takoyaki, and the pork katsu sandwich. All the food came out very promptly and was yummy.

The interior is very cute! There are cute painted signs with food items. We also got some cute free stickers! Seating is limited to ~10 people due to the small size of the place so if it's busy, doing take-out would definitely be best. Unfortunately, there wasn't strong AC so it was hot inside.

Parking is limited and small but you could find street parking/parking in the neighborhood and walk.“

“Restaurant with good service and a relaxing atmosphere. However definitely cozy as tables are all close together and was a bit loud when it was packed on a weekend night. Also it was warm on a warm day as their AC was not working optimally.

Enjoyed the seafood/uni risotto, mushroom salad, uni spaghetti. The chicken karaage was ok. The curry is on the side. Spicy mussels were very seasoned.
Panna Cotta had a creamy, semi- bouncy texture. The bread pudding was more pudding like with a very sweet sauce on it. Desserts definitely can be shared.“

“Wow! I called today, Sunday, last minute for a party of 12. We were accommodated and seated within 30 minutes. Rashad the manager was our waiter. He was kind, personable, accommodating, just amazing. The staff that assisted Rashad also very nice. The food was outstanding. My party could not pick a favorite. However, we reordered the fried rice and Wagu Dumplings. You cannot go wrong with any item on the menu. The atmosphere is beautiful and intimate. Always a good time and great vibes. “We went here for the AYCE sushi and got the premium menu because we're visiting Socal for vacation. Absolutely phenomenal with the service and food! I love how friendly the staff was to us and explained how the process actually work. There are leftover fee + only order what you can eat! Definitely should ask for recommendations and they provide you a menu with pictures. I would absolutely come back here again! The parking lot is kinda small, but we were able to find a spot before the dinner rush.“

“This Japanese restaurant has been here at least 20 years. The food is fantastic. The service is welcoming. This is now our favorite Japanese restaurant. We use to go to the one on Rosecrans where Albertsons is. But there is no comparison to midoris food. We will be back again and again“

“Food is amazing. Pork Katsu comes with 5-6 pork slices that are extremely juicy and tender. Rice on the bottom with salad. Amazing side dishes like pickled radish and cucumbers served with creamy soup.

Service is incredible. Very attentive waiter. Fast with drinks and extremely speedy with service. I ask for napkins or more water; I close my eyes for one second and it's literally all there! Kim Tae (Ted) is amazing! Great work ethic displayed and attentiveness.

“Worthy of a special trip! They took such care in their preparation. It’s not a glitzy place but the service was special. Counter order, lots of options. My wife and I stopped there as we were staying at the Hampton inn in the same area. I had a yellowtail roll along with tempura and my wife had the salmon. Vegetables were perfect presentation was spot on for casual dining and my roll was one of the best I’ve had. Perfect proportion of spicy tuna to yellowtail to rice. If I lived in the area I would go here at least once a week. Prices were also spot on and in many cases extremely reasonable. Bravo Kabuto!!! A special place!!“

“I was going back to the yard to part my semi and I thought I’d get something quick to snack on at the corner store but it wasn’t open. The next thing open beside it was LUCKILY Tokyo Grill! I was hungry and I was going to wait til I got home but I decided to get the chicken bowl because I saw it was 9 bucks. I didn’t expect much as I took it to my truck and man was I blown away. The flavor of the chicken was so delicious and the amount of ingredients they put into the bowl is unbelievable. It had green beans pineapple carrot slices cabbage and some other vegetables. I was amazed for how much food they gave me for the plate only being 9 bucks and they put a lot of chicken in there which was a big plus. I didn’t have to dig around for any chicken.That’s why I’m writing this review, hopefully it helps anyone thinking coming to eat here. Oh and I also had really dirty hands and the lady at the cash register which I believe was part owner, gave me some wipes and was really nice. I’m pretty sure their other dishes are great too. I didn’t take a picture of my food because I was really hungry but it’s worth each penny I wasted.“

*Tuna Sushi Special* and the *Miso Soup* are my classic go to's and they are always flavorful and fresh. Spicy Tuna is mixed with Sriracha, sesame oil, and sugar instead of spicy mayo and I LOVE that. *Garlic Tuna Tataki Special* is AMAZING, so delicious, expensive but worth it. *Dumplings with Spicy Garlic Sauce* is BOMB AF, so fresh and full of flavor, love it. Extra Ginger is free so I always get it. *Extra Spicy Ponzu* is the best homemade sauce they have and is so worth the $0.25.“
