“Southern California has a LOT of great Mexican food but this place was next level. The carnitas burrito was had carnitas that was perfectly crispy and the flavor was great. The Birria del Rey plate was flavorful. The service was quick and friendly. The place had a great family vibe. Definitely going to make this a regular stop.“

“My family and I were looking for a restaurant that serves halal food on our way home. We found this on google maps and had minimal expectations.
Honestly, we were glad we stopped here, We loved it! The gentleman who worked their was super kind and friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and pleased. So i would give the service 20 out of 10 !
We had kebbeh, lamb chops, and chicken tawook. Kebbeh was served super hot and crispy. Yum.
The other plates were delicious but there is a room for improvement. I would have prefered my tawook to be a little more juicier. But the flavor was their and I would order that again, no doubt.
They also provided us with lentil soup as an extra (probably coz it's ramadan?) And it was a super nice touch. Loved it.

“This local spot in Whittier is a family's favorite. They're authentic and Their prices are reasonable. The food is spot on and the variety is plenty. Waking up on saturday morning to a menudito or chilaquiles is the best. Give this place a try and you will keep coming back. On weekends you can use all the parking spots from the other businesses but please do not block anyone. Be patient, good food takes time. Enjoy!!!“

“I can tell the menu changes because other reviews and pictures had stuff I really wanted to try and was sad to find it not there. This is a good thing tho! Likely means they change seasonally, and it being a smaller menu, you know they keep things more fresh rather than having a bunch of frozen, ready items.
Their breakfast menu does have a lot of options! Staying at the hotel a week and I have tried almost all of it! The So Cal breakfast wrap (even tho I removed the chorizo) and the breakfast quesadilla! My husband LOVED the cheesecake French toast (me too honestly!)
Because of the morning staff, Tomas the host and our waitress Anabel, I looked forward to the start of each day. Anabel impressed me the second day when she remembered by very specific drink order from the first day and I have been so happy to see her since!
Dinner time, we have come a few times and things are pricy, but well made and tastey!!
Just sad they don't have soup options. I want to try more on the menu, but won't get the chance 🙁“

“I always wanted to try this place whenever I came to this mall because it looked really cozy and had an old-school Japanese vibe outside. Finally tried it, but I was a little disappointed. It feels more like a roll-focused spot than a traditional sushi place.

The rolls were okay, and they give free miso soup and a small salad, which was nice!!

I feel like if they cleaned up the decor a bit and put more effort into remodeling, plus added more sushi and sashimi options, this place could be way more popular. It definitely has a lot of potential.“

After eating our meals, I went to get a drink refill and they just ignored me and had me wait a while as well. 2 ladies didn't acknowledge me or the gentleman serving.Even a customer stated that it wasn't kool to have me wait a while for a refill. If you advertise free refills, then give it! You need to improve your service if you want regular or new customers ! Edit: since my last review, they placed the drink dispenser out in the open. Now you don't have to wait for a refill. Good job guys!“

The sandwich was really good with crispy lettuce and a thick slice of tomato, the fries were cooked perfectly, lightly salted. Great lunch. They have a lot of menu items so it will be worth it to come back and try something else.“

They have the best fried Mojarra, and they have the superlatively delicious cucaracha shrimp. Their shrimp dishes are out of this world. Their prices are also moderate for seafood. The indoor seating is rarely available but there is plenty of outdoor seating. The café was incorporated into what used to be the Biola Heritage museum and therefore there are many historical items and photos on display.“
