“We visited a tucked away great little sushi bar called Zaraku Sushi while in LA visiting our son and daughter last week as they had been raving about the Japanese fusion rolls for weeks prior to our arrival. Although we eat sushi regularly in the Seattle area, this was by far the best experience with LA style sushi. . They treated us to a fantastic meal, where the sushi chef (Hak Chan) made our experience one to remember. The daily catch for sashimi was perfect along with fire and lobster rolls. Appetizer of heart attack and dynamite were also mouth watering. This is a great place with a superb staff and excellent food at a low cost. We will be back again!“

“The food was bomb! The fish was so fresh! And they only use blue fin tuna! It melted in my mouth! I absolutely loved it! The spot is cute! The service was great! They are so attentive! I highly recommend coming with a big appetite because there is a lot on the menu that you have to get! The fatty tuna was sooo good! And i was also impressed by their ramen! It was rich and smooth!“

“Came to Sushi Story and we were seriously amazed! The fish was incredibly fresh, and every piece of nigiri, roll, and sashimi was HUGE! They also have wide selection of sake and Japanese beer. Everything was so satisfying, and they even have claw machines, which made the whole experience even more fun!

Overall, such a great spot, we had so much fun and absolutely loved it. Definitely coming back!

“Such a great find! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. They have an impressive selection of vegetarian and vegan options, which can be hard to find at sushi restaurants, and everything we ordered was delicious.

The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the restaurant was clean with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. You can tell they take pride in both the quality of the food and the overall experience.

“This was such an incredible experience, my group sat at the sushi bar and this was all our first times having Omakase. We couldn’t have asked for a better and more delicious experience. The couple that owns this restaurant is so sweet and absolutely incredible with customer service. We felt like we had been coming here for years, and ordered more food at the end of our 12 piece meal bc it was all so delicious and we couldn’t get enough. I think we each got 3 more pieces. I can’t wait to return. This made my husband’s birthday, so very special. Thank you again for such a night to remember. One of the best meals I’ve ever had!!“

““Oh wow” the first words that I could come up with when my wife asked me how the food was.
We ordered: Japanese ceviche, Y-not roll, Salmon roll, California roll, yellowtail sushi and halibut sushi.
Everything was absolutely fantastic, fresh and full of flavor.
I highly recommend the yellowtail sushi if you want raw sushi
I recommend the y-not roll if you want a specialty roll, it is a little spicy so beware.
If you want to try something new we recommend the Japanese ceviche, it has the perfect mix of sweet and salty.
Overall you could tell the fish are fresh and not old mush, and even the plating of every dish was admirable.
The service is also fantastic, we were checked on regularly by our servers, had all of our questions answered and even got solid recommendations.
This place is definitely worth traveling for, decent prices too!“

“Akasaka is a great place to eat authentic Japanese food. It has an intimate and simple dining, which is expected of Japanese culture. Every item on the menu is good and comes with all the expected condiments specific for that dish.
The wait times can be long so make reservations and make sure your whole party is present.

“Really good spot for takeout pho. The broth was super flavorful and still hot when I got home, which I really appreciated. Everything was packed neatly and the portions were actually pretty generous for the price.

The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. The menu had more options than I'll ever be able try. I had the special sake and appetiser deal for $30 and was not disappointed.

Spicy Tuna is mixed with Sriracha, sesame oil, and sugar instead of spicy mayo and I LOVE that. *Garlic Tuna Tataki Special* is AMAZING, so delicious, expensive but worth it. *Dumplings with Spicy Garlic Sauce* is BOMB AF, so fresh and full of flavor, love it.
