50 Best Vegetarian Restaurants in La Habra

“During our recent visit to L.A., my wife and I along with a bunch of friends dined in at Yedang in O.C. for some Korean food. I typically try to avoid places with too many items on the menu but boy, were we in for a surprise.

First, gyejang (fermented raw crab) was fantastic. I don't normally eat this at all but it was so damn good that it turned me into a gyejang believer. I need to find some places back home in Toronto.

Bossam (Boiled pork belly) was a top-notch dish as well. Tender, good balance of meat & fat, and the fresh kimchi & side veggies were excellent combo with the dip (ssam jang)

Both types of Naeng Myun (Cold noodles) were great as well. If they make good broth for this, the place will typically make great Galbi Tang (Beef rib soup) as it was true for Yedang.

Stews (Kimchi and soft tofu Chigye) were great. I really hate watery Chigyes / stew but they were thick and rich. It's definitely as rice killer.

I always say if a Korean restaurant can't get Bibimbap or Bulgogi right, never go there and it was no exception here.

The sides (Ban Chan) were plentiful and each of them was super tasty.

I'm quite surprised at the number of low ratings here. Most of them seem to be related to service but based on our experience, it was beyond excellent. Servers were attentive, much more so than at typical Korean restaurants despite how busy it was.

We will definitely come back here when we are back in L.A. / SO Cal area. Highly recommended!!!“

“I’ve lived in La Habra for 30 years and it’s the first time at the establishment. I was an invited guest with my wife for a football party. Pizza and salad were excellent. I’ve eaten a lot of pizza from a few places and have my favorites and I will add this one to them. I watched staff walk thru bussing tables asking patrons if they needed anything. “Wow, this burger joint is better than advertised. I had a delicious avocado burger combo with chili cheese fries. Burger was delicious and avocado was fresh. There chili fries were delicious, they had the perfect amount of spice. The dining area was also very clean unlike other burger stands in area. This is my new favorite burger stand in La habra.“

“Was a local who frequented Laura's a few times a week. The chicken salad on croissant was awesome but not gonna lie, I stopped in many times for the lemon bars and other sweet treats. Usually grab a sandwich cause Laura made me feel guilty that I only came for the sugar...lol I just read it's under new ownership so the nostalgia part is still there if they didn't change things around. It was a great place, a diamond in the Ruff back then. Hope it stays that way.“

TLDR: The portion is HUGE, the taste is bland and mediocre but the price point is great!

What we order:

- 2 items: white rice, bbq pork rib, and string beans chicken.

the rice is a little dry, the bbq pork is mostly breading and sauce. the flavor is sweet and slight tangy. the chicken in the string bean is FIRE, juicy and saucy! the string bean itself is okay, nothing special. they gave so much string bean compared to the meat ratio. the egg drop soup is okay. 3/5

pro tip; the hot and sour soup has a slight kick (white pepper is slightly more spicier than black pepper!) so I'd recommend the soup to add to your slightly bland meal!! 5/5

Service & Atmosphere:

- Service: you can clearly tell they love what they do and have been in this business proudly gor a long time. They're friendly and inviting! They give you big scoops!

- Atmosphere: there's seating inside. the soda machine doesn't work but they do have cans drink by the check out! it's a cute little place.

Overall, if you're looking for food that gives you the bang for your bucks and a HUGE portion you can barely close the takeout container, this is it. however don't expect it to be a 5 ⭐️ or panda express flavors and you'll be fine! I'd recommend this place! :-)“

“So am not from this area but I do come this way to pick up something Around here and I love tempura from the outside doesn’t look like much is a nice small place once inside they have a medium amount of choices the price is not that bad I love the veggie tempura and the California rolls, but they do carry other stuff including macaroon ice cream! I’ve gone 3 times now in a month and so far the taste remains the same except yesterday I felt that they didn’t give me the usual amount of veggies but overall the food is good and not pricey!I also noticed sketches on the wall and a folder on the counter am assuming those are from a local artist I believe you can purchase them!“

“I’ve been to a number of Red Robin restaurants over the years, but I’ve only been to this one a couple of times. On this particular occasion, we were seated at a table in the corner of the bar. It honestly felt very crammed, and I would most likely request a different table if we go again. The food was tasty. However, if you’ve been going to RR for a while, you’ll definitely notice the reduction in portion sizes. Our server was very nice but obviously had been assigned too many tables. We had to flag him down to get drinks.
