“Small plates. Nice, cozy vibes. Everything you could ask for in an izakaya. :) My friend and I made reservations in advance and came to the restaurant on a Thursday night, which was decently busy. I really liked the warm lighting and ambiance of the restaurant. Our server, Carolyn, was really nice. She apologized that several of the things we had wanted to order were not on the menu due to popular demand. We ordered a decent spread of food, including salad, sushi, udon, chicken karaage, and bulgogi. Everything was pretty good. The workers wrote my friend's name on a placard on the table and even gave us free vanilla ice cream for his birthday! The total came out to $60 for both of us, with tip. Standard food, nothing spectacular. I'd come back for the good vibes (cool anime wall murals!) and maybe to try some other dishes.“

The spring rolls were also outstanding. Fresh, light, and perfectly balanced in flavor — I would give them top marks without hesitation.

I often go to a well-known pho restaurant in La Mirada, but honestly, I would rate this place even higher. Definitely coming back again!

## One more thing I really appreciated — all of the bowls and cups were glass, which made me feel so much better. Some restaurants serve hot water in plastic cups and use dishes that look worn or not very clean, but this place was completely different. Everything felt clean, well-maintained, and high quality. It really made the entire dining experience feel more trustworthy and comfortable.“

I like that they had silverware instead of plastic utensils, and everything feels homey and thoughtful. There's silver cups for water, and a lid for the trash. The trash is the sort that does not originally come with a lid, they made one out of wood so flies don't fly in and bother everyone.“

The texture was more like soaked rice than porridge, which felt unfamiliar at first, but it grew on me. The chopped abalone and well-balanced seasoning made it enjoyable, and the portion lasted me about three meals.

The yeolmu kimchi on the side was especially delicious and soothing—I’d even buy it on its own. Overall, it really helped settle my stomach.“

“Stopped by late morning after running a few errands and what a fabulous surprise. I had seen listings for The Bagelry for a while now and thankfully stopped by. Greeted warmly by the staff - if not the owner. We chatted a bit and he told me about the selection and their catering. The quality is top notch. Highly recommend the lox a cream cheese also the local high school favorite Turkey Bacon on a cheese bagel. My daughter loved it. Definitely will be back. Support a local business.“

Anyway, was easy to order and pick up but noticed the options were a little different at this location, like the lack of Mac salad as an option. No big deal. The potato salad was just fine. The sandwich seemed a little thinner than I’m used to as well, or at least the bread was. The amount of meat seemed equivalent though, so maybe just a fluke. Anyway, satisfied the craving well enough and the sandwich is still more than enough for one meal for me. Service was pleasant enough for a pick up order and had a nice note on the bag waiting for me :)“

“I've been to this Paris Baguette location more times than I can count, and let me tell you, their cakes are the real MVPs. But what really sets them apart is the owners' heart of gold (or should I say, heart of chocolate?).
I mean, who opens their store door after hours for a last-minute cake emergency? These lovely folks do! And on New Year's, no less! Talk about starting the year off right.
Their chocolate cake? Exquisitely mouthwatering (yes, that's a thing now). I've tried it, and trust me, it's worth breaking your diet for.“
