Expect fresh food that's true to Taiwanese flavors. I think it was the best Taiwanese bento I've tried in the 626 so far, since a lot of them tend to be greasy, cheap, and undercooked. Tried the lions mane mushroom bento, pudding, and the sweet and sour "chicken" bento. The chicken and mushrooms was really good! And although the vegetables were just steamed with minimal seasoning, the entrees were layered with flavor. I didn't mind-- I felt that it made the meal healthy and balanced. The pudding was also "eggy" and sweet. Altho the color looks a little different than most puddings, it's understandable since it is a vegan dessert (and it was good)! It's evident that the owner is passionate about healthy and delicious cooking. From the fork-tender food to the quality of ingredients used, Green Green Trees hits all the marks: generously nutritious, homely, and delicious meals that will ALSO impress your traditionalist immigrant parents. “I got the level 7 K#1 soup, which wasn't too spicy. For a spicy meal I would ask for a higher number. I also got a Thai tea that was very refreshing and not too sweet, and a vietnamese coffee with coconut milk that was very rich in coffee flavor and sweet. My father ordered the level 7 ramen stir fried and said it was very good, not very spicy. We shared a level 7 and a level 10 BBQ wing. The 7 was barely spicy but very good, 10 had an oil on it that coats your mouth and was quite spicy, but the heat went away within 15mins. All the food was delicious!“

They recently went through a change in ownership and redesigned the interior of the restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the menu and the food. My favorite menu item is the 1/2 sandwich (turkey and avocado on squaw bread) and 1/2 salad, which includes chips and salsa. However , they had only one person in the kitchen. It took a little longer to get orders. The staff handled the crowd very well. They were quick but friendly. I got the bowl with black beans, chopped chicken, avocado, and a delicious dressing. It was very good. I will definitely get it again. The service and the food were worth a second trip. “First time here, was really hungry and curious so I got their pozole, potato taquitos, and sweet potato fries. The pozole was interesting not really the traditional flavors seemed oily. To me, it tasted like they used chili oil for it. But overall it was okay. I did like that they gave you cabbage and radish on it. Would have been better with lime slices to squeeze on top. The potato taquitos were yummy, kind of hard to mess those up I'd say. And the sweet potato fries were fried well, crispiness was optimal. Especially since some places leave them soggy. Overall I liked it and would return.“
