“We went to the Newport Beach location a couple of weeks ago. This was my first time ordering an acai bowl. The staff was very helpful and patient when I was building my bowl. Overall, from the time we walked in to the time we left, the staff was extremely friendly and nice.“

They also have amazing drink items and food items that are literally all on-point. “I have been to Off the Hook several times. Each time with different friends and we have always had a good experience. The food is very good and fresh, the portions are reasonable (not too large, not too small) service is courteous.“

“Wow! I called today, Sunday, last minute for a party of 12. We were accommodated and seated within 30 minutes. Rashad the manager was our waiter. He was kind, personable, accommodating, just amazing. The staff that assisted Rashad also very nice. The food was outstanding. My party could not pick a favorite. However, we reordered the fried rice and Wagu Dumplings. You cannot go wrong with any item on the menu. The atmosphere is beautiful and intimate. Always a good time and great vibes. “Just came by for a leisurely Labor Day early lunch and Manny did not disappoint. We ordered two #3 combos, so 6 meats and 8 sides for 4 people. We had the brisket, tri-tip, beef ribs, baby back ribs, pulled pork, and the chicken. For the sides, we had 3 smoked beans, potato salad, 2 cole slaw, and 2 mac salads. It was nothing short of a feast! The meats were well-smoked, flavorful, juicy, and Manny was as kind as he was generous and attentive. He threw in 4 free sodas, free bread, a free side (we went with an extra cole slaw), and threw on a free kielbasa as well! We couldn't finish everything and the food we took home would easily make for an extra meal for all of us. We drove all most an hour, in the rain, from Torrance; this was not our first dining experience here, and it was just this kind of generosity and service that we experienced the first time that brought us back and will continue bringing us back as long as he stays in business.

“Everything we ordered was very good, we had fried shrimp,egg rolls, pork egg foo young, cashew chicken & chicken lo mein hot tea and lemonade , the service is very friendly and attentive, we were greeted by everyone that seated & served us. Its in a strip mall in La Habra on 1 ave. & Leffingwell rd. Since 1972 so if you are craving some good American chinese food this is your place, stop by and give it a try.“

and $20.00 large bowl.
Plus a drink gets over priced. But good food is expensive. If they adjust the prices this place could see way more volume.“

“We love Joy. My family have been regulars for many many years. Food is awesome. Service is great, servers friendly. Only bummer, when we, as a family, went to celebrate my birthday on Saturday, we presented a gift certificate my husband & I were gifted from my Kids. It was issued at the end of 2019, expired at the end of 2020. Because of Covid we did not venture out until late last year. They did not not honor it. A little bit of a disappointment, but not going to keep us from frequenting our fav local sushi restaurant.“

“My coworker recommended this place after I requested Thai food lunch. The restaurant was exceptionally clean, the waitress greeted us with a smile and was very friendly. The food was delicious and had such great flavor that I wanted to order an extra meal for dinner tonight. Everything was good and the avocado rolls is now a favorite of mine. I will be having lunch there again next week.“

“The food is amazing, but staff can be rude at times. I went here to eat while carrying some grocery bags and they were very judgemental. Nothing rude was said, but staff gave judgemental looks and clearly wanted me out of there as quickly as possible. This did mean I got my food and check quicker than any restaurant I've been too before. I don't know if it's some sort of taboo to bring groceries into a restaurant, but it was only a couple bags and I don't have a car so I couldn't put them anywhere.“

“Jack's is a step above Norms and 5 steps above house of pancakes. I enjoy their menu which I've had about 5 times and each time I order something different. Service is always friendly, quick and the food is very decent. My son didn't like his steak which probably was frozen cause he said it was a bit Gray in the middle..and He said the consistency was more like a chicken fried steak... I've had that before and had no problem but other than that everything else was good.“
