“My sweet husband treated me to coffee and pastries for my birthday, and it was such a thoughtful surprise! He brought back two lattes: the sweet corn latte, topped with a unique corn foam, and the Tiger latte. The sweet corn latte was surprisingly different, but I found the corn foam paired really well with the coffee's flavors. The Tiger latte, on the other hand, tasted like a classic, regular latte—good, but nothing too extraordinary. I’m not a coffee connoisseur or daily drinker, so I just go for what tastes good, and both drinks definitely fit the bill!

He also picked up a couple of bread options: a cream cheese garlic bread and a hot dog croissant. Both were delicious and made for a fun treat alongside the coffee. I hope to visit this coffee shop myself sometime soon to try more of their drinks and baked goods.”

They had me sit down and enjoy chips and salsa while I waited for my food and gave me a complimentary ice cold bottle of water on my way out the door. “This place was listed on one of mist fry BBQ place. Pretty nice and cozy place. We had the beef brisket, 1/2 baby back ribs, loaded potatoes, pork belly tacos. The brisket was very tasty and tender while the baby back was a bit tough. The pork belly taco was very tasty. Too much jalapeños but it was good. We also had fried ice cream and the bourbon bread pudding and that was excellent! The services could use some improvements. Food and desserts were served but there was no silverware. Took more than 5 min. To get the utensils plus we weren’t finish eating yet and they are ready to take our plate away without asking if we were done.”

The menu is limited for dinner (few items to choose from), alcohol license is still pending, food lacked flavor, portions were small for what they charge and they close at 8pm. I will say that the service is spot on, very nice and attentive ladies. Also, their chips and salsa had me craving for more. I will try again in a few months to see if they have ironed out some of the issues they said they are working on.”

“I ordered the Famous Star Burger at Carl's Jr. and I was impressed with the service cuz it was incredibly fast, and it's a huge plus that they have an amazing offer in their mobile app. Anyway, my burger was served fresh and warm, just the way I like it. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the visit pleasant. However, I did notice that they only offer up to two sauces and you have to pay for the 3rd one, which was a bit limiting. But overall, a great spot for a quick, tasty meal.”

“I only been here for breakfast. I ordered the veggies omelet and comes with avocado. Most places charge extra. They have a salsa bar and they bring fresh chips to your table. On the weekends they have a live band. And they also take requests on music which is nice.

“I go for my grandma often & she loves the place, i unfortunately do not. Ive tried the asada, el pastor, chicken & im just not a fan. But the gentleman cashier is very nice! & The prices aint bad even tho they did raise it a quarter recently but who hasnt raised their prices. Anyway my grandma gets the tripas so maybe thats good? But i havent tried it. Maybe next time

“I've been going there since as long as I can remember, I believe it was family owned , great food service, and fast ,then a few years ago the old man must have passed, but a few days later it was back opened , as good as ever, the same pretty friendly ,older woman was still there and as usual great food ,quick and friendly service,always busy , from when they opened till they closed. Just the other day I was there, and all new unfamiliar faces, service was good , food was good, but one thing stood out ,they always offered those little yellow chillies that were good but good ,for the first time they did not. I think it sold , but it was still good. I'll keep an update . If so thanks to the old owners you will be missed. To the new owners , keep it going thanks.”

“I used to go here in 1965 at least once a week for one of the best burritos I’ve ever eaten. I left California 26 years ago, but still remember how good the burritos were. I took my kids I yr old son who’s never been there before last week and he loved it as did I. The only bad thing I would have to say about express (it actually has nothing to do with them per-say it’s more of a me personal thing) they serve Pepsi here and I’m not a fan of Pepsi, everything else 100% on point.

Went with my family, and it is the perfect burger joint. Fries seasoned properly, breakfast came out exactly as planned - it is exactly what it should be.

I'd recommend bringing cash, as their system charges for using card, so save yourself a couple of quarters and just bring cash.”

One time they got my order wrong and gave me 2 asada tacos instead of 2 Al Pastor tacos, they gladly fixed the issue and gave me the 2 Al Pastor tacos that I ordered and I kept the other 2 they gave me at first. I have lived in whittier my whole life and I can say that the food from this food truck is the best from any other food truck I've had.”

They have something called a torito which is a mix between a taco and a quesadilla. They have chorreada, pellizcada, and crazy potatoes. Their salsa is also delicious. They got a guacamole salsa that's good.”
