KFC in Whittier

“We decided on chicken and stopped at this location. From the direction we were driving we had to make a U turn into the parking lot which is on a bend in the street so there’s cars turning from the other direction. They wasn’t anyone in the drive thru on a Saturday around 11:30 am. It was quick and the staff person at the window was very friendly. The food was pretty good but very greasy but understandable since it’s fried. All the sides were good but the Mac and cheese was a bit burnt. The biscuits were also doughy and to gummy for my liking. We ordered the $20 meal and the 6 chicken pieces were a good size but the sides are small and a one serving portion.“

“First visit to this location. Usually, I go to Popeyes for chicken sandwiches, but I saw a deal today so decided to try KFC sandwiches. I don't know if this is the norm but my chicken was HUGE! Typical KFC seasoning and not as crispy as Popeyes but tender and succulent. And for this size of chicken, I have to give 5 Stars. This was probably the largest patty I've had with fast food franchise brands. The other two are Jack In the Box and Popeyes but theirs are slightly smaller. I'll return to try their Zinger Chicken sandwiches which seems to have crispy and spicy batter. Crew in this location seem fast, friendly, accurate, professional, and efficient. Within minutes of ordering, everything was ready to be picked up. Quite impressive. I'll make two more visits to test consistency but so far, I recommend this location.“
