“I was told about this place from an out of town coworker that has relatives near by. The owner/cook was very hospitable and everything was surprisingly low priced. Tacos were very tasty and well balanced. I would go back definitely. The only thing I didn’t really like was the parking lot cause its entrance is very close to a busy blvd with fast traffic. You have to exit very carefully. I recommend either parking in the back, side street or back in.“

Drinks: High quality loose leaf tea including traditional flavors and infused. Hot and Cold iced tea is available. I'm guessing there are 50+ teas to choose from.

Service: Brewed tea is offered But loose leaf tea to take home is also available along with teapots and tea cups.

Final thought: it's a family-owned business, the owner was very sweet and explained the tease to me. The tea was fresh and you could tell it was high quality when compared to other commercial coffee places. Check them out!“

The combination of kimchi, cheese, and egg was especially amazing.

“Had the great fortune of trying this Hazy IPA before meeting the owner Kelsey Grammer and watching him pull beer for a few hours. “We came here 2 days back to back and was definitely not disappointed the first day we just wanted to try the place out and ordered the pork belly sliders and a brisket Mac n cheese. Both were amazing but… the next morning we came to get brunch and ordered the chili verde breakfast burrito along with the tri tip breakfast bowl and I must say that had to be the best breakfast burrito I have ever had! Plus the sauce with the salsa they give you for that bowl was delicious!!! I’m just upset that the brunch is not year around“

“I've been coming to El Buen Gusto ever since it was in Pico Rivera on Slauson. I moved down to Laguna Beach when I was 18 and had not been back since. I was up on the Whittier side of town and saw this place. A lot of memories resurfaced and decided to stop for old time sake.
Our hostess was very welcoming, warming, attentive and funny. However she didn't know what non-fat water and gluten free ice was. Nonetheless, I ordered the Chilaquiles. The presentation and taste of my meal was something similar to what my grandma or my mom would plate. I'm glad I stopped by, I don't make it up here to this side of town that often yet my next trip up here will definitely warrant stopping by for a quick meal.
For those who live close by you're extremely fortunate to have El Buen Gusto in your neighborhood.
As for location they are located at the southeast corner of Beverly and Norwalk Blvd's. It's not that far off the 605 frwy. If you're heading east on Beverly Blvd it's on the right just as you cross Norwalk. If you're directionally challenged, it's right next door to weeny-dog.
You can't go wrong with the comfort food of El Buen Gusto.
