“Quality ingredients and homemade sauces. We went for girls breakfast and loved it. My friends got a chicken sandwich and tacos and I got a veggie sandwich on squaw bread with cheese and avocado. Everything was so delicious and satisfying but not heavy. Only place in LA county that tastes like you are in the city. You gotta check out the bathroom! The owner is a genius. “I was told about this place from an out of town coworker that has relatives near by. The owner/cook was very hospitable and everything was surprisingly low priced. Tacos were very tasty and well balanced. I would go back definitely. The only thing I didn’t really like was the parking lot cause its entrance is very close to a busy blvd with fast traffic. You have to exit very carefully. I recommend either parking in the back, side street or back in.“

“This place lets you try burgers from around the world. So let’s see if they’re pretty good eh or ew. They’re family owned and operated and I got their Cuban fries, chihuahua burger, and Colombian burger. The fries are cut and fried in house and were a bit soggy but had plenty of gooey cheese, ham, and grilled onions and had good potatoey flaves. The chihuahua burger had a meaty patty, buttery bun, rich chorizo, creamy nutty avocado, gooey savory cheese, nutty crunchy lettuce, and bright cilantro. Could maybe use something acidic like a salsa cuz it does get a bit rich. The Colombian burger also had a good patty and bun and had a sweet pineapple jam, cheese that kinda got lost in there, and crunchy fresh coleslaw. Was kinda getting more Thai vibes from this one for some reason but am lowkey so here for it. Overall this place is lowkey pretty good.

“The food was really good, and the prices for decent. When we got there, it was only my friend and I. Though as the day progressed a lot of people came and went. The service was excellent and the server as well as what I think could have been the owner or the manager keep coming and asking if there was anything that we needed. “I went to Aloha Stacks for breakfast on July 3rd. When I got there the line was out the door, but it moved pretty quickly. We ordered and got a table very easily. The food came very quickly and the wait staff was very attentive, checking to see if we needed anything several times. I had the chicken katsu and waffles and my companion had strawberry crepes and a side of kalua pork. All were delicious. It was very busy but they didn't rush us out. Parking is difficult...I parked on the street nearby.“

“I've been coming to El Buen Gusto ever since it was in Pico Rivera on Slauson. I moved down to Laguna Beach when I was 18 and had not been back since. I was up on the Whittier side of town and saw this place. A lot of memories resurfaced and decided to stop for old time sake.
Our hostess was very welcoming, warming, attentive and funny. However she didn't know what non-fat water and gluten free ice was. Nonetheless, I ordered the Chilaquiles. The presentation and taste of my meal was something similar to what my grandma or my mom would plate. I'm glad I stopped by, I don't make it up here to this side of town that often yet my next trip up here will definitely warrant stopping by for a quick meal.
For those who live close by you're extremely fortunate to have El Buen Gusto in your neighborhood.
As for location they are located at the southeast corner of Beverly and Norwalk Blvd's. It's not that far off the 605 frwy. If you're heading east on Beverly Blvd it's on the right just as you cross Norwalk. If you're directionally challenged, it's right next door to weeny-dog.
You can't go wrong with the comfort food of El Buen Gusto.
