“Staff were super friendly and were happy to suggest drinks based on our preferences. I had an iced banana latte and my husband had a dirty chai. Both were delicious and perfectly flavored without being overly sweet. We also tried a garlic cream cheese stuffed bagel that was both sweet and savory. We had a smore cookie with chunks of chocolate that we thoroughly enjoyed and finished off quickly. Overall we really enjoyed the drinks the best and will be back again soon.“
“We hosted a Christmas Party with Ethnos and it was a big hit. Everyone LOVED the coffee and matcha. So many choices and everything was fresh and made to order. Iced and hot versions were available. The kids even got peppermint hot chocolate. We would have Ethnos again when we host another party.“
“Absolutely the best cafe de olla I've EVER had so far!Atole de nuez with half the sugar was perfect! The coco atole was also delicious! Waffles, mini pancakes, and Nutella crepes were amazing. Not at as sweet as I thought. Just the right touch of sweet! Definitely coming back to try the chilaquiles! Definitely a place you must try!“
“Nice place to come and have coffee and very good menu. Simple and straight to the point best part of all you can add and mix your own flavor choices from a list which is must easier then choices from a hundred different drinks and asking what each one has. Deffinitely will be coming back for some good lattes and coffee. Also the inside is well and simply decorated and the seating is out of the way of walk way so people dont get crowsed by where you are sitting.“
“It's your typical Mexican restaurant. Hand made aguas and tortillas when you order maiz. They have gorditas which is something I I feel I rarely see now a days. We had 6 tacos, 2 gorditas, 2 aguas and a dessert. Total came to $50+ dollars. Don't get me wrong, food was great, but at those prices you can easily go to another establishment. It's not inexpensive.Wheelchair accessibility: First floor, easily accessible“
“Hands down my favorite boba place, absolutely ecstatic i no longer have to go to Downey for it. So many flavors, so many toppings, so many options beyond just boba.Their specialty drinks are so tasty and cute– definitely make your friends feel the FOMO when you post a Traffic Light (three flavors and colors in ? ?layers. Also they're doing something no other boba place I've seen do: reusable boba cups with boba straws. When i went they said they weren't for sale YET so maybe sometime soon...Also they went all out for Halloween decor, which was so cute and fun.“
“This is on my way to school & work & I must say I love it. It's not often to find a place the has a turkey & cheese croissant. I recently gave up eating pig & trying to limit my red meat intake & ham & cheese were one of my go to's. I'm glad this location offers this, and the donuts are magnificent. Co-workers have picked up from here & that's how I found out about this gem. The staff is friendly & the shop looks well maintained. Overall I'd say this is a great location, clean environment, & good pastries/baked goods. Thank you“
“Located in Whittier Brewing Co building, great variety of baked goods! Many cheesecake options, turnovers, cookies, cinnamon rolls, etc. anything and everything is mouthwatering. Friendly owners and plenty of space to sit and enjoy. Get a cafecito while you’re there!“
“I personally have not visited Zens Tea House, however I purchased a bag of Organic Matcha Green Tea from a farmers market. My daughter and I made Iced Matcha Lattes at home. So delicious! Hopefully I'll see them again so I can purchase a bigger bag. Thank you!!“
“Had coffee here. I have never tasted anything like what I ordered before. It was latay, mocka, with something else--joy... You will find it on the menu to the top right of the page. Sorry, there are no photos. I try to get them all, but sometimes get occupied and well... you know that goes with family or friends. Also, they serve more than just coffee. Blended tea, gourmet tea, tea with coffee mix, and so on. Tea needs to be getting more props, too. There are knick-knacks here as well, office stuff, cute custom items well crafted, and cheap in any way. I will be coming back in my free time. Great gift items and birthdays. I also have to take my time to look around. The only way to get the full experience.Parking: The shop is directly across from the open parking lot structure. There is street parking as well, not too full. Otherwise, easy.“
“Hooked on Coffee was previously The Corner Place. We have noticed a difference in the quality of food and smoothies. The cookies are not as moist as previous. I normally order the Strawberry Smoothie on both occasions. The taste was off. It was less favorable, like it was watered down. Recently, I ordered a Peach smoothie, and it lacks flavor as well. I did have someone else taste it, and they also stated it lacked flavor.“
“Drink:Espresso TonicReview:Who would of thought that the best Espresso Tonic I've ever had came from a place that doubles as a bicycle shop!?! Once you get past how rad the shop is, and you see all their cool merch, you will find the small coffee counter. (You could probably come in for some bike parts and not even notice the coffee machines). My order was taken, and quickly made. From the first sip to the last, I was impressed.Usually Espresso Tonics taste about the same, but this one stands out a little more as it doesn't have as much of a bite to it as some others. Even the wife was impressed by it, and she's not a fan of ETs.Notes:The service was good, and there is only a few parking spots, but overall I was thoroughly impressed. The menu only has about ~10 items on it, but its definitely worth a visit.“
“My friends came to stay with me and we stumbled across this cute little coffee shop inside the store Local Fixture. The store itself is absolutely adorable with so many unique finds. I love that they have a little coffee bar inside with a seasonal and curated drink menu! My friends and I all enjoyed our coffee. I will definitely be back.“
“My aunt I came for the first time.I do therapy next door so I thought I try for BD celebration.Wow, never heard of this place. The chicken and waffles qhere so good.I had the coconut orange juice. Very delicious. Now my kids are taking me for BD in the Downey one.Praying they are just as good.“
“I stopped by Chami and decided to try both some milk tea and the egg waffle. For the milk tea, I decided to get a large Thai milk tea. This had a decent flavor to it, no cheap syrupy after taste that you may find in other shops. The sweetness is fine as well, not overtly sweet. The egg waffle is plan and akin to a style from Hong Kong. However, the taste was rather plain. A decent pairing with a sweet drink, but overall it was a bit disappointing. Overall, Chami has se good milk tea, but I think the egg waffles are more of a novelty.“
“This place is adorable, and they have the absolute best coffee in Whittier! As a former specialty coffee barista, I can say that this place is really doing things right. I have gotten their oatmilk cortado a few times and it is served beautifully and always has the perfect ratio of foam to espresso. The baristas are kind and friendly too. I have tried a lot of the coffee shops in the Whittier area, and this one is the BEST! Keep doing what you're doing!“
“Stopped by on a Friday morning and this place was popping. Very friendly staff greeted me and the line went quick. Cold brew is super smooth and the breakfast burrito (BLUE?!?!) is bomb. Got the steak with green salsa. Omgggg it’s good. Worth the slight wait I had for sure.“
“Picture it~ you walk into a donut shop. You order a jelly donut and when you bit into it, half of it has no jelly! Why? Because they insert a dollop of jelly with a piping bag. Noooo thank you!WELL NOT THIS PLACE! NOT NEW DONUT!They slice the donut in half and slam on the jelly! I was so impressed that I sent this photo to the family chat and wrote this review. In these troubling times of "shrinkflation/ inflation" New Donut has risen above and beyond to remind me what Jelly donuts are supposed to be about.....the Jelly. *chef kiss*Thank you New Donut~ I'll be back for another~“
“Cafe de olla is delicious. the selection of pan is smaller than a traditional bakery but every. choice is pretty tasty. Chill atmosphere and friendly staff.Parking: street parking on both sides. If you come during a busy time like dinner time, it can be hard to find parking close by“
“We have been wanting to try this place since it's so close by and I am so happy we did! Such a nice spot to have some quick delicious dessert. There were so many options it was hard to choose from but we went with the classic BNS #2 (Banana Nutella and Strawberry w/ ice cream) . Im not much of a sugar person but this combination did not taste overwhelming! The service was great the owner is so sweet and patient since took me a while to pick. They have a nice set up with chairs if you want to sit and have a little date night. I Didn't get the chance to try the coffee but I will definitely be back!“
“Amazing service provided by Cari, she was so attentive & she had the best recommendations. Based on her recommendations, we tried the Special Coffee Flight with Oatmilk, Americano, Pastor Omelette, Chilaquiles Verdes with Chicken, and Nutella French Toast. We will start with the Special Coffee Flight which consisted of 4 sweet drinks: Mazapán iced coffee, Horchata iced coffee, Pistachio iced coffee and Abuelita iced coffee. The Mazapán iced coffee was a little textured for me since it had chunks of Mazapán in it and I wasn’t a fan. The Horchata iced coffee was satisfying & I loved it. It was the right amount of bittersweet. The Pistachio iced coffee was way too sweet & had only a touch of pistachio. The Abuelita iced coffee was on the bitter side since it tasted like straight cocoa. Americano was a simple brew.Pastor Omelette was delicious and super filling. It was packed with meat & had the right red salsa to compliment it. Chilaquiles Verdes were also delicious but not spicy. You definitely need to order more salsa on the side if you want them on the wet side however the chicken was a perfect addition. Nutella French Toast was top tier!! It was the star of the show although it was sweet.. the fried plantains took it to another level. The slices were huge and easily shareable amongst 2 people.Overall listen to your servers, Thank you Cari for the amazing suggestions & letting us know that this establishment is known for appealing to the sweet tooth. Next time I will ask for an Americano or espresso since I enjoy my heavy coffee flavored drinks. I will definitely be returning to this location or another as they are so welcoming & keep you updated with their wait time. You could wait 45 mins to be seated so join the waitlist in advanced through the Yelp app. Also once seated they will bring your food as quickly as possible.“
