My husband and I tried it at home and it was spectacular! Came back today and they were so generous in the quantity. I could say the best poke place I’ve eaten! If only I could afford eating at this place everyday, I would!“

“I went to Aloha Stacks for breakfast on July 3rd. When I got there the line was out the door, but it moved pretty quickly. We ordered and got a table very easily. The food came very quickly and the wait staff was very attentive, checking to see if we needed anything several times. I had the chicken katsu and waffles and my companion had strawberry crepes and a side of kalua pork. All were delicious. It was very busy but they didn't rush us out. Parking is difficult...I parked on the street nearby.“

The staff was incredibly patient and took the time to walk us through the menu, helping us navigate the variety of proteins and sides for our poke bowls. “Classic Hawaiian BBQ spot, serving the community for many years now, the food here is amazing, the best chicken katsu in my opinion, the food quality has been consistent over the years, they always give you more than you can eat so you will definitely have leftovers, I recommend ordering all mac and no rice, the mac salad here is amazing, sometimes I come here and just order the mac salad, can't go wrong, definitely worth every penny. Also, the food is cooked to order, dont be surprised if you wait 20 mins for your food, the wait is worth the quality 👌“

“Was in the area and saw this poke spot was close. I stopped in and the food looked really fresh and there was plenty of people inside and it was only 11:30. I ordered the large with 5 scoops and it filled me up. If I’m back in the area I will definitely have to stop and eat again“

“This is always a great spot for a quick lunch bite when craving Hawaiian Food.

Its a small business privately owned and service is always good here. Ambience is not much to write about - its functional and good for a quick lunch bite. They've have got a few small tables to grab a quick lunch and food is in the mark.

My goto dishes here are Garlic Shrimp Plate, Chicken Katsu and Beef BBQ. Can't go wrong withe either of these.

“I didn't get the owners name, but she was out working just like anyone else would and she was so nice and inviting, which is rare these days. The food is excellent! Extremely fresh tasting and they have some unique sauces that other poke shops don't! Definitely give this place a chance if you haven't!“

“Amazing! The whole family eats here. Ribs are unique and usually aren't served anywhere, but really like how they are one of the only ones to serve it. Katsu and the chicken are always my favorite. I do however recommend that they have a different sauce instead of a house sauce. A regular teriyaki sauce would be really good, which is something I suggest.

The person working at the front is amazing! One man show during peak hours sometimes and I always see him working hard. Keep it up!“

The Loco Moco and Ube Coconut Pancakes were especially delicious, and everything had a satisfying homemade feel. “Great spot for a quick bite. Staff was friendly and quick with getting your order. Had the Poki Bowl which was great. They give you 3 protein options with unlimited toppings. Had the house spicy sauce and was awesome. Had a good kick, but nothing overpowering. Serving size for the price is also a plus. They are located inside the Commerce Food Court. Searing is great here, they several options form inside with an open sapce, small hall type or outdoor patio area to enjoy your meal.“

“Fish was fresh and flavors were great. Love that they separate the warm rice from the cold poke when you get it to go. The only thing I’d say is beware if you add cucumber: my poke container had a lot of liquid at the bottom from the cucumber salad, which created a bit of an unpleasant texture to the rest of the ingredients that were also at the bottom of the container. But overall, I really enjoyed it!“

“First time ordering Poki bowl so I wasn’t sure what to expect. There is a build your own bowl menu card that you fill out. I had some questions and the chef was very helpful, he answered all my questions and I asked for some suggestions, he was spot on. I also ordered a cooked salmon dish. “Plate lunches here are just as delicious as on the Hawaiian Islands. First, the garlic butter shrimp...I will dream about it. Second, the bbq chicken was tender and oh-so flavorful on its own; no need for the dipping sauce although the sauce IS super tasty. Next, the rice is topped with furikake and sesame seeds. Sadly, the spicy pork flavor is excellent, but I don't like how it's in small pieces. I referred to it as shrapnel pieces, and my BF thought that was a precise phrase for it. We were disappointed that the gochujang wings were not available on a weekend night at 6:30pm. This a food court location, so if you want to eat hot & fresh, you need to find a table two stalls down in a small inside area with about 6 tables or outside with about the same amount of tables.“

“I come here often since it's near my work. I really wanted to post this review so I can show everyone how great my bowl looked. I got a small bowl but the worker packed it so well. Chef's kiss! The service here is fast. Even if they are working on online orders, they make sure to tend to the customers in person first. Everyone is sweet too and they give you extra sauce in the side if you ask.

I've eaten inside a few times too and the ambiance is fine. Definitely recommend if you are so the area“

“I am from out of town i am here visiting my sister in the hospital. I was looking for a good teryaki plate for my wife and I. I read reviews and I decided to try hi bbq. The customer service was great,the price was good and the food was excellent. The ginger dressing was tangy and really good for the salad. The chicken and steak was flavorful and the macaroni salad was really good. Until my sister comes home this will be the place we will go to. If you are looking for really good food at a good price I highly recommend hi bbq. Also the staff was really nice and the place is very comfortable.“

I'm thankfull I got to meet that lady during my short trip in LA. Such a breath of fresh air and a lovely experience.
She is patient and welcoming and the food is great ! I mean, just enter the shop and you'll know you'll be eating good tonight.

“I came after my nieces softball game at Norwalk high School. I have been looking for a good local Chinese fast food location. The quality of the food is tasty. They cut your teriyaki chicken when you order it, but I did happen to come when they were near the end of their coconut shrimp (still tasty). I am a fried rice only so I can't say how delicious the chow mien is. I would gladly recommend and if they were closer, this would be my go to spot for Chinese fast food.“

All the dishes are yummy, but my favorites are the beef plate (comes with beef, rice, and Mac salad) and the masubi.

Service was quick. Waited about 10-15 min for fresh food made to order so it's not lying around in food warmers.

I didn't eat here because I usually take my food to go, but the dining area is pretty spacious with lots of seating.“

“We really enjoy the Loft Hawaiian food. They closed the really big nice one in Torrance and now there are multiple small ones with simple decor. The food is still amazing but the atmosphere is a bit less than the big restaurant was. I recommend everything but my favorite dishes are. Lomi Salmon, spam musubi, island style fried chicken, lau law and of course the kalua pork. It seems like everything comes with rice and macaroni salad. 😋 so good. I don't think you can go wrong here everything is delicious.“

Along with the flavor, another one of my favorite things about this place is they are not skimpy. I usually get a large and can spread it out over two days because it is so filling. The fish scoops are packed and they hook it up with the toppings and sauces.“
