“Solid food and atmosphere. Wide variety of sauces to choose from, and I appreciate the available jalapenos. I got the chicken katsu and it wasn't too expensive. Only complaint is that the katsu sauce is a bit underwhelming in taste and isn't what I'm used to.“
“This is my second time coming and I can tell you: I love this place! The service was amazing, the food was fresh and gave me a lot of variety to choose on my toppings and the ambiance was friendly and welcoming! I will come back again and again!“
“I love this place, there used to be this really sweet lady that used to work here. I wish she still did she was the sweetest, everyone there is nice though. Love Hawaiian BBQ reminds me of where I'm from Honolulu my home in my heart forever! Aloha to everyone enjoy their delicious food. I really like the BBQ plate it's really good, so is the chicken katsu. Share kindness to everyone, I promise it will make your day not just theirs. :) May you all have a beautiful day!“
“Food: Kimchi Butter Katsu Chicken had the right balance between spice, butter, moist breaded chicken; Kimchi Butter Shrimp was also excellent; Spam Brulee was a great new take on the typical Spam Musubi with their mayo-based sauce on top Service: made-to-order service Design: interiors had the touch of island vibes with the rope lashing & surfboard sign, but is part of the larger Rodeo 39 Public Market Overall: if you want great Hawaiian inspired grindz with a little extra kick, then check out this spot and get ready to roll your eyes back with satisfaction!!!“
“The hype is real. Owner is great, staff are nice, and food is delicious. Ordered volcanoe chicken bowl, teriyaki chicken with veggies, and tropical orange chicken plate. Found a new favorite rice bowl place :) Come early though. Seating is limited and when there's a dinner rush, thats an understatement. We'll be coming back again.“
“Got the opportunity to stop in again and cure the craving for the garlic chicken that haunted my soul. The best part of anytime Hawaiian bbq is the convenience to walk from any of the convention center or Disney hotels and the prices are so reasonable for the flavor and amount of food you get to enjoy! After a long day of walking a garlic chicken plate and a spam musubi will fill the belly and make a happy soul! No joke the garlic chicken is crave worthy!!“
“Wow! Dennis and his team have got it figured out. I came here with my friends to try out different items. We ordered the soy garlic glazed salmon, garlic furikake chicken, garlic butter shrimp, chicken katsu sandwich, and the kalbi beef short ribs. We also ordered sugar, ube creme filled, guava creme filled, and mango creme filled malasadas. For our refreshments, two of us had limeades while my friend and myself had the ube horchata. Everything was delicious. We were very pleased with our orders. The salmon was my favorite. There's seating inside and outside. Best for parties of 2-4. Great for take-out. Service was friendly and quick. Free parking in the plaza.“
“I was surprised at first by the menu because it is somewhat different than other poke places, but this is BY FAR the best poke I’ve ever tasted. The rice, the quality of fishes, the sauces, everything about that poke was delicious. Great service too which adds to the experience.“
“The food is amazing for a very reasonable price, but I think the service differs depending on who's working. The first time I came with my Latina friend and the staff person also appeared to be Latina (she was speaking Spanish to some other customers while we were there); she noticeably treated my friend preferentially and was short with me when I asked questions about the menu and how to order since it was my first time, which ended up making me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Then when I tried to pay, my payment failed the first time so she told me to insert my card again, but she "helped" by tapping on the screen for me and selecting the highest tip for herself without giving me a choice. I told her that wasn't the tip option I wanted to select but she gave me a dirty look and told me I couldn't go back, so I just had to pay the amount she selected or risk making a big fuss. Then she didn't offer me a receipt, which I think is just bad service considering she overcharged me, but maybe it's because she didn't want me to find out her name (since the server name is usually printed on your receipt). When our food came out, my friend's meal was neatly packaged so that she could take it to go, but my poke bowl didn't have a lid on it even though I was also taking it to go, and I had to ask for one, which she also treated like I was being an inconvenience. It was a really off-putting experience. My second time here, I came back with a different friend and ordered the exact same thing because the food quality was great, it was just the service that sucked, so I figured I'd give the place a second chance. Thankfully my second time was a lot better. The server (Michelle, based on my receipt) was very sweet and I didn't experience any problems. So I will probably keep eating here in the future, but I would not like to encounter the rude staff person from my first time again.“
