“This is my 2nd time here. The Peking Duck is the best I’ve ever had recently. The skin is so crispy, the meat is tender and there is no fat at all. Other dishes were equally as delicious. Baby bok choy was so green, the scallion pancakes were pan-fried, … just look at my photos and you will see for yourself. I highly recommend this restaurant for a wonderful dining experience. Be sure to order the Peking Duck ahead of time. Service was also very good. My husband & I plan to return frequently.”

There is a smell of stale cheese in the air in most parts of the restaurant, some parts worse than others, I'm guessing from the decades of Parmesan grounded into the carpet. It was inigorable and honestly spoilt the experience.”

They have a really wide selection of proteins and veggies. I highly recommend the beef and lamb combo! It’s mostly beef options, but it gives you a good selection of their proteins! Also, save some room for dessert! They have fresh cut fruits, popcorn, and a soft serve machine!”

“Just checked out the menu and you will know it's authentic shanghainese cuisine. Prices are reasonable, the taste is amazing. The place is quite small, they don't take reservations. I always like to go a little before dinner time, If you don't want wait. I noticed they do a lot of takeouts. My favorites are sea cucumber, eel, and stir fry rice cake with cabbage... Also the brace pork it's amazing.”

“Mr. Rice Restaurant was exactly what I needed after a long day. We came in late, and I had not been feeling well in my stomach the entire day, so I wanted something warm, comforting, and easy to eat. A bowl of their rice noodles was perfect. After eating it, I felt so much better and much more comfortable.
The rice noodles were warm, soothing, and satisfying without feeling too heavy. The broth and flavors were comforting, and it was the kind of meal that really hits the spot when you are tired or not feeling your best. It felt simple in the best way — warm, flavorful, and relaxing.
We also tried the BBQ items, and they were very good as well. The flavor was tasty, savory, and enjoyable, making the meal feel more complete. It was a nice surprise because the rice noodles were already comforting, but the BBQ added extra flavor and variety.
Overall, Mr. Rice Restaurant was a great experience. The food was comforting, the rice noodles made me feel much better, and the BBQ tasted good too. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a warm, satisfying, and comforting meal.”

One small thing: one of the servers was kind of rough when putting down plates and bringing out food. The movements were really fast and the noise was pretty loud, which caught us off guard a bit.

Overall the food is solid, and I’d still come back. Just hoping the service can be a little more relaxed next time.”

One suggestion: Vacuum seal bag must be sealed securely especially the soup base. My beef stew soup and chicken noodle bags are leaking 😕. Luckily I have ziplock bag on each item before I put in my freezer. Otherwise my refrigerator will be all wet after I defrost my item in my refrigerator.”

“Savory Corner is the real deal. Free-range chicken is silky, tender, and full of flavor. Rice is fragrant and not greasy. Their beef stew noodle soup is also incredible — rich broth, melt-in-your-mouth beef.

Service is superb. The staff remembers us regulars and always surprises us with free herbal drinks. Makes you feel like family.

Can’t recommend this place enough. Always planning my next visit though we have to drive from West Hollywood. It was so addicting that I must try to eat there every weekend.

“Eat there only if you want to be treated like dirt. I am sick and tired of their way of treating their customers. They don't do reservations and their wait system is unforgiving and insane. 1. Long wait times like 1.5 hours 2. But with that long wait time, they only give you 10 minutes to "all be there" when they tell you table is ready. 3. That's not even the worst. They put a "wait time" estimate near their check in table. So you would think that is a solid guideline right? But no. The REAL wait time can swing a good 30 minutes both ways. Say they put "Current Wait time is 1.5 hours" you could get a call at 1 hour mark. And then they give you 10 minutes to get your party to be there. And they give you hell if your party can't make it like it's your fault that you don't have crystal ball to tell that your table will be ready in one hour’s time. I have tolerated it coz their food is actually really good. Meat quality is good etc etc. What broke the camels back today is. I checked in at 5:45 today. Wait time is 1.5 hours. So estimate sit time is 7:15 right? When I get the text that table is ready at 7:05 I thought all is awesome. AND THEN they told me that are actually having a staff party tonight and last call is at 8. That leaves my party less than an hour to do an AYCE dinner. I was furious. So I question them, “Why didn't you tell your customer that when they checked in?” "Well, we put the notice on the door. You didn't see it! So… 🤷🏻‍♀️” 1. There are a bunch of white and black notices all over the door and check in area. 2. And yes. My eye sight is not awesome. I didn't see it. But shouldn't it be THEIR JOB to let customer know VERBALLY when they check in that they are shifting the last call time an hour early? That’s basic decency. I wasted almost 2 hours there and by then it’s like lines all over the place for any place. I am never going back again for a restaurant that treats their customer like dirt so they can make money off me any more.”

The carrot muffin and lemon muffin are our favorites, however the strawberry muffins are great but only available in the summer. We are usually seated right away and the coffee is refilled frequently. The staff are friendly and attentive, the dining room is bright and restrooms are clean. Some lunch and dinner options come with a slice of pie. They have a nice separate room for private parties. It's a great local restaurant. If you stop by for lunch or dinner, some of the options come with your choice of a slice of pie.”

The cake was not very sweet and just perfect. Really wanted butterfly cookies but were sold out. Only thing I didn't like was they don't answer their phones. Wasn't sure if they were open and was calling to check. No answer.”

I found the idea of selecting your uncooked proteins, carbs (e.g noodles) & vegetables, selecting your broth (up to 2) & then cooking them right at your table, very intriguing & different. The staff are very nice & we're ready to explain & walk me through the process as a first timer. The food is delicious & had a lot of variety to choose from for a very varied experience. Tried the all you can eat option but got a happy hour discount. Ambience & decor looked very niche & classy. Plenty of parking spots available to park. Reservations are required for groups but none required if you are a party of one. Plan to arrive 30 mins before closing time to get the best full experience.”

“Was a perfectly fine boba place. We had the coconut based drinks, osmanthus and jasmine, with cheese foam. The osmanthus is more fragrant, perfect at 75% sweet. The jasmine probably needed 100% sweetness because it was a bit lighter in taste.
