“Casa Jimenez is a great place if you've got a modest budget snd a big appetite.

They have plentiful Mexican cuisine plates that all bring big flavor and big portions; and if that isn't enough, they even have an AYCE deal!

The AYCE deal is a limited menu of single portion entrees that you pick 3 of, per plate. Each plate also comes with rice and refried beans with cheese and your choice of a lighter albondigas soup or a salad.

Personally, with me and mine being foodies, we all go for the AYCE for the variety.

Each plate comes out hot and plated fresh, though sometimes the entrees taste like they may have been frozen beforehand (the beef tamale in particular).

If you want something fresh, stick with the carnitas and the carnitas tacos - that's what I do!

The singular drawback for us eating here is the food comes out slow, so plan accordingly!

tl:dr - Great eats, big plates, price is reasonable, the AYCE deal is great, give it a go if you are hungry!”

“I was looking for a good taco place and I came across Covyd Tacos on Yelp and decided to try them. Unaware that they were just serving on tables under a shade during the evenings, I gave them a try and ordered asada and cabeza burritos. I became a regular after that night and they practically knew me by name. Their burritos are very delicious and their servings are generous. They also had quesadillas, and a variety of tacos. They also have Al Pastor which is really tasty. They do not accept credit cards but they accept Venmo payments. I now miss their tacos and burritos since I was only in La Puente for 5 weeks but would be their customer again if I go back to La Puente, California again.”

“I recently visited Bambino Felice Restaurant and had an amazing experience. I ordered the Bambino Shrimp appetizer along with the Meat Lover Calzone and Homemade Chicken Ravioli. Everything was absolutely wonderful — the sauces were all on point and full of flavor.

And let’s not forget their homemade biscuits… soft, warm, and delicious. You can really taste the love in the food and service.

So if you want to buy in bulk this is a good place. Otherwise the prices are the same as if you go to an Asian market like 99 ranch, Fukuya or duo duo. They do have snacks and candies too.”

“I've been going for over 30 years and was so disappointed in their food today. I get that food prices have gone up and the portions are smaller these day. I like the smaller portions. But to serve a half basket of chips and salsa in a little dressing cup that my chip cant fit in was disappointing. Their delicious green salsa verde with piece of meat in it was so not the same taste and was not good. I dont know when and if I'll ever go back again because of the disappointing quality of food.”

It's an actual hole in the wall but with an OMG affect. The service was amazing and fast. We ordered our drinks (water and Orange Fanta)and some sizzling fajitas ( beef and chicken). My hubby and I shared the meal. The fajitas were delicious and a good portion. But the best part was the homemade tortillas. I was in heaven especially when I took a bite of my roasted Jalapeno. Yum'O 😋 And when I dip my chips in the refried beans... wow!!!! It's exciting to come across true Authentic Mexican food! “Bob’s Burgers is one of my favorite local spots. I work around the corner and usually order the 3‑egg breakfast with hash browns and toast—it’s a great deal at $9.99 and always hits the spot. I’ve also had the Avocado Burger, which was delicious. I always dine in because the atmosphere is relaxed, the TV is usually on during lunch, and the staff—cashier, owner, and cooks—are consistently friendly and kind. They’re attentive, welcoming, and make you feel like a regular. Highly recommend stopping by.”

It's my go to though out of my area. 3 item.combo.with rice/noodles $11.59 3rd item is in a separate container since main box is too full. Our family favorites are chow mein, chow fun, orange chicken, bbq pork, egg foo Yung and work wonton soup... The soup is in a larger container than usual. Various drinks and boba available. Got 3 3 items combos work wonton soup extra rice noodles and rice and a lrg coke for $56. Fed 6 people with almost half leftover. They also have a special 3 lrg items and rice,noodles egg flower or hot & sour soup and 4.soda.cans
$30.99. I recommend. They have a few tables but we always takeout.”

Whoever thought of it had a great idea and presentation(minus the vanilla scoop making it look like chunks of cheese floating around your tea) but awful awful execution. Also did not know the brown sugar boba was popping boba and it just felt like exploding gobs of caramel with each boba, very unpleasant. Get something else!!Also big sad there's no bubblegum flavor ice cream. :(”

They give chips and salsa and the salsa is delicious. They get busy and sometimes it takes them a while to come around for refills but overall the staff is nice and the food comes out quickly. Since discovering this hidden gem, we’ve already been back twice and will continue to return. Also, their prices are very reasonable and the portions are great as well.”

“Been going here for 30 years, the food has not changed one bit and that's a good thing. It is delicious (and now, nostalgic). I do not live in the area anymore but every time I do come back and have a chance, I get their two entree combo with half chow mein half fried rice. My go-to is their orange chicken, pepper beef, jalepeno chicken, mushroom chicken, and their beef broccoli can't go wrong. (The kung pao chicken is best at Fusion Bowl in Eagle Rock, sorry Happy Wok).

They are somehow slow to change against inflation so its still relatively cheap, especially how generous the portions are. Service is quick and efficient. I basically feel guilty if I don't tip them. Ample dining room. Gets packed during meal time hours and line sometimes out the door. Don't change, Happy Wok.
