“It was our first time back to this place since the change of new ownership. We used to come a lot when it was under Cortez ownership. Needless to say, we wanted to go somewhere local without waiting much so we decided to come back and try this place.
It was empty when we came in on a Sunday afternoon. The server was very welcoming, courteous and attentive. It was about 92 outside and inside it was nice and fresh, cool but not ice cold. There was plenty of parking ( they have a small parking lot and plenty of street parking).
We both ordered the chilaquiles, one Red and Green plate. Came with refried beans and potatoes. The portions were relatively decent sized; not too big and not too small.
They gave us homemade chips with some homemade green salsa, fidelio soup which were all good but the salsa in my opinion phenomenal. So the free entries were good.
The chips were homemade and not too hard and not saggy, not full of sodium either. The sauces and salsa are all homemade and delicious. The red and green chilaquiles salsas that this place uses were both handmade and great. The beans were delicious, the potatoes were rather hard though and in a very small portion. We enjoyed the food, definitely coming back to try other things on the menu. THEY DON’T SELL ALCOHOL……..
The prices were relatively reasonably priced. If ur local, and don’t want to go broke or wait for a ridiculous waitlist then I’d definitely recommend coming.“

“Shout out to the best tacos/ taco truck I have ever come across!!Me and my girlfriend have been dying for tacos for two weeks straight- But working two jobs takes a toll on not only us but our r time as well.Last night after work we said screw it, and searched up local taco trucks in the area that accept cc and ended up here. They have many meat options which are appreciative being I love the weird meats! Kimberly who was the cashier and assisted us by taking our order- was kind enough to let us try Carne asada tostadita (since I did inquire what this was) and OMG!! The asada was bursting with flavor and juice! I cant stand when you end up with dry meat! it was perfectly salted to taste. The beans were also perfect and not bland nor overpowering! My girl is a plain jane and ordered asada tacos- But not me lolI ordered a buche burrito with only meat and cheese (onion/cilantro) A taco of chorizo, cabesa and lengua and all four meats were exceptionally seasoned! (will try the cabesa fries as per recommended by kimberly)the salsa was spicy but flavorful as well!I will def. be back- Actually I think I just found a new go-to in general.Thank you for the love you put in your tacos!#fortheloveoftacos“

“Excellent Mexican food, the quesadillas are made with grilled tortillas by hand, they are delicious, quite large and at a fairly affordable price, this food reminds me a lot of the food my grandmother made in Mexico, especially the red sauce.“

“One of the best garlic fish in LA County, Orange, Riverside, etc…. Delicious flavor and great size. Accompanied by salad and French fries; There is an option of beans and rice too. The place is very clean and tidy. The menu options are spectacular and I will surely return to try more. The service is very good too. The music was very loud and I asked if they could lower the volume and they very kindly did so. I was able to eat in peace. Thank you.“

“I've been going for over 30 years and was so disappointed in their food today. I get that food prices have gone up and the portions are smaller these day. I like the smaller portions. But to serve a half basket of chips and salsa in a little dressing cup that my chip cant fit in was disappointing. Their delicious green salsa verde with piece of meat in it was so not the same taste and was not good. I dont know when and if I'll ever go back again because of the disappointing quality of food.“

The foods I have tasted here, such as Chicken Soup, quesadillas , frijoles, rice, sweet potatoes ? and their tamales especially the corn tamales have been nothing but delicious and yummy.A Family owned business. They have made many major improvements. To their decor and equipmentOh yes. The hot sauces are a delight.“

“The atmosphere was great for the new generation, they where short staffed, had to eat the majority of my $120. Dinner plate with out my drink, wish they get their situation fixed, but otherwise it was an good experience the manager came to try to make things somewhat better. I would try it again, and give them another chance.“

“By far, the BEST tacos in Los Angeles County. Tasty and packed full of ingredients for an impossibly low price, if you're only going to visit one area taqueria, visit THIS ONE. The asada is always good. The carnitas are hit and miss, so ask to take a look at the meat before ordering, unless you just absolutely HAVE to have carnitas regardless of quality. Sometimes the carnitas can be greasy or fatty, but when it's good, it is very good. The sauce is nothing special, just off the shelf red and green sauce from some restaurant supply store. What makes the tacos so good is the quality and quantity, and the low prices.
Basically tacos and burritos come in two levels: regular and deluxe. Regular tacos come with meat, onions, cilantro, choice of red or green sauce, with plenty of Mexican cheese on two tortillas. They're "street tacos," but are bigger and better than the other street tacos out there. Burritos have basically the same ingredients wrapped in a large tortilla. Combo burritos add beans. A lot of people order the quesadillas, but I don't think they're anything special. If you do order them, order them with meat for just a tiny uplift in price for a much better quesadilla. Try the sopas. They're excellent. Deluxe adds guacamole and sour cream for more money, but I think they aren't the bargain the regular food is. Be careful when ordering. If you order, whether you speak Spanish or English, be careful when asking for "with everything, " or "con todo," because an unscrupulous taco-preparer will take that not as a license to put on the requisite onions, cilantro, sauce, & cheese, but to add the overpriced guacamole and sour cream. It seems the same staff, same cashier, same cooks, etc. have been working at this place for DECADES. At least they're the same one's I'm familiar with from the past 25 years of eating here. Usually there's a staff of at least 3 people working here, but sometimes there are as many as nine or ten employees crammed into this tiny taco hut.
This place is very popular and typically very busy with people lined up. The line generally moves pretty quickly, but in the worst of circumstances, it's taken me 45 minutes from the time I arrive to the time I get my food.
Also, check and make sure the amount you're charged matches what you've ordered, because I've caught them adding extra to my bill.
There are some tables and benches ringing the exterior of the restaurant, but there's only around half a dozen and they're usually occupied if it is anytime near meal time.
This restaurant is located in a small outdoor strip mall, and parking has never been much of an issue, even at the busiest timesd.
Vegetarian options: They have been and cheese burritos, french fries, and can put a salad together, sorta.
Parking: There's generally parking very close to the restaurant, but the lot is pretty large and I've never seen it fill up all the way.“

“Love this place. Authentic flavors, portions are perfect and the service is personable and friendly. I have several dietary restrictions, including gluten, corn and dairy sensitivity. I also avoid most grains. I’m generally okay with mild cross contamination. With that said, there is a lot for me to choose from here. They always accommodate my requests for substitutions as well. I generally order chile verde, eggs with nopales, and various caldos, and substitute the rice for potatoes and ask for no cheese. I always forego the chips and tortillas, but the portions are enough that I am satisfied without them. I also avoid sugar and their cafe de holla is not sweetened so I can actually have it here! (Most places serve it presweetened). My husband and kids don’t have any dietary restrictions, but are super picky, and they love this place too.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten, corn and dairy free“

“It was my first time going there. I noticed the name change from El. Cortez two ,Rincon I never stop by or gone inside, but this time it looked authentic and usually small family owned. Restaurants are very good, my overview of the food. Was that the service and atmosphere. We're very good. I had the beef stew. It was okay. They served. Fideo, For a starter, that was excellent. Also, the Cafe de. LA olla was very good. I will definitely be coming back to try the menudo. Look for my review in the future..“

“Clean, bright, fun restaurant that is appropriate for a get together with family, friends or for business as well. Had the mole enchiladas and they were very good. Service was attentive but staff could have been friendly (more smiles would help). Seems like a safe pick if you are looking for a nice restaurant in this area.“

“Great home-made Mexican food in a small locale. Very good menudo on weekends. The limited menu changes periodically. ASK WHAT THE DAY'S OFFERINGS ARE. (The posted, unchanged menu board helps little.) Not expensive - very reasonably priced menu! Cash only.
Parking: Limited # of spaces are shared by the merchants in the small shopping center. However, street parking is available.“

“We stopped by on Saturday night on our way home back to Rancho Cucamonga. We ordered four tacos and one burrito. The only way that I can describe the food is that it was mind-blowing delicious. The hard shell tacos were perfectly made and full of clean and non fathy delicious meat. Our Burrito was large and meaty and fully flavored. I wished I had pictures to share, but we were hungry. ????“

“Delicioussss food made to order by one person!
This is a tiny little hidden gem with amazing empanadas de camaron! (You really cannot leave without trying them.) We shared the langostinos and they were also suuuuper flavorful but you have to watch out for the spice it packs; I really appreciate that they give you the option between mild, medium, and very spicy. The only items I wasn't crazy about were the tostadas de camaron (we got the raw options as well as the cooked); they weren't bad by any means they just do not compare to the other first two dishes we tried. The chips & salsa are a nice tasty bonus.
Darla was our server and she was lovely; she answered allll of the questions we had and gave us a ton of information and recommendations. This is when she told us that her grandma is the one that cooks everything herself.
This is a great spot to catch up or grab a quick bite because it's so small. Last comment, they sell beer and an assortment of fun drinks to accompany your meal.“

“This is probably the best taco truck I have eaten at so far. We have ordered burritos, tacos, tortas and fries. All really good and flavorful. The Horchata is also good. As for the meat ,we usually order Al Pastor ,carnitas ,cabeza, carne asada or tripas .They’ll make the tripas real crunchy if you ask them and that’s the way we like them. The price of the food menu items are really reasonable .We order to go but they do have a canopy with a few chairs and tables to sit down and eat .The condiments are always fresh. We usually fill up a couple of containers with green chili sauce .They do have red sauce also if you like it hot. I recommend this place, the food is always good.

“First time at Rocamar for a friend's birthday. We didn't have dinner, only sushi, which was fairly good, and drinks. The service wasn't the best I've had. The beers were nice and cold, but the margs were light, made with agave liquor, not tequila. The kj played good, made for a good ambiance and the sound system is really good.“
“I have been going there since they opened. Angelica, the owner is like family. The food is exemplary and the staff always make you feel welcome. “?? CHIAPAS, MÉXICO (via Eat the World Los Angeles) - Sandwiched between Oaxaca and Guatemala, Chiapas is a lesser-known regional cuisine that has just as much indigenous influence as its neighbors. As the only place in Southern California offering this special food, La Cocina de los Reyes must be making anyone that calls Chiapas home very happy.“
