“If u haven't noticed this little Bakery before.., it is probably bc 1) .. of it's lack of a HUGE sign in the front of the store. 2) ..u are not a 'Local' resident, who knows about it & probably pass it by when driving thru Glendora Ave., from Old Valley Blvd., & the Historic District, to Hacienda Ave. Word up! I like it bc they have been there since who knows when?? ? And they make a variety of the 'typical' bread u will find in many Hispanic Markets.. But? They also make Breads & Pastries that are unique to this Bakery, as well as Tamales, Champurrado, & Deli type sandwiches & breakfast w/ self serve Coffee bar & tables to sit & enjoy ur morning ? Pan y cafecito. Mind u the place is relatively small so there is a line very early, that usually shortens as the day gets later. I highly recommend a visit here when u have the time to relax. “Cookies are good don't get me wrong. But be prepared to spend a good pretty penny for some chips ahoy sized cookies with extra toppings. I got the batch of 6 cookies and it came out to $20 and it was their pre selected cookie choices, no customization. Takes a decent little bit to get your cookies, small location with no seating area (im certain they expect you to order ahead in your car or wait in your vehicle.) Gets pretty packed in there as this is a popular chain. Packed in a small space is a no no for me, but that is only my thoughts.“

“Found this store on Eater LA and came on a Saturday. It was cheerful to get the limited special cake — chestnut tiramisu! The chestnut cream is so yummy! A bit pricey ($29 total for four desserts) but truly worth it. The genmaicha tofu cake is my favorite. It has a rich soy flavor and the texture is so soft! I also like the blueberry and lavender cake with jelly on top. Excellent combination! “If this is not the best banh mi in all of Sgv and Oc, I don’t know of any place that can beat them. All cash by the way so come prepared. Their dac biet is the perfect sandwich and their daikon and carrots are light and bouncy with fresh jalapeno with the right amount of pate and butter. They have it down to perfection, nothing less. Had an open house and served it for homebuyers and they were blown away! Highly recommend! Cafe sua da is gold too, loved the shaved ice in the coffee and not too sweet. The ladies in the back are super sweet and you can buy the baguettes and freeze them, then 350 f for 6 mins in toaster or airfryer. Get the egg rolls, and pa te so is good too. My clients loved their vegetarian banh mi too!

“This is definitely in our top 3 go-to bakeries! You really can't go wrong with any of the goodies you select. My absolute favorite flavor is the salted caramel toffee - if you haven't tried it, you really need to!

Their cookies are really good too. My son's favorite cookie is the sprinkle cookie with the cake pop in the middle.

They also have boozy cupcakes - but we have never tried one before but I'm sure they are good.

And if you have a really special occasion coming up, it may cost a little more to get a cake from here, but it will be TOTALLY worth it! Each time we have gotten a Hapa cake for a special occasion/party - I can't tell you how many people will compliment you in how delicious the cake is and will be asking where it's from. We even had Hapa do my son's wedding cake, and people are still commenting on how delicious their cake was!!!! (*And the wedding was 2 years ago)

You can definitely schedule a cake tasting - I can't remember how much it was - but what I would suggest is that you just buy some cupcakes in the flavors you think you'd like, and do the tasting in the comfort of your own home. I believe that any of their cupcakes can be made into a cake.

“I've been here three times now and I think this is a great little neighborhood dessert spot. Their original coffee buns when baked fresh are semi-sweet with a light coffee flavor and savory buttery taste on the inside. The coffee bun is great mix of textures with a crispy outside and a fluffy soft inside. This place also has korean shaved ice and good ol' pineapple dole whip as well as a few other soft serve iced cream flavors to spice up the variety. I haven't had any of the coffee yet, but I will one day.“

Walk to the left of the canopy and walk up the stairs to the "will call" office. Knock on the door until someone answers. They will walk you to the bakery where you can choose and pay for your bread. They take cash and cards. Excellent bread at great prices. I paid $5 for a large loaf of sourdough bread. Would definitely recommend!“
