Customers choose their own ingredients and broth, the bowl is weighed, and the meal is cooked and served very quickly. Payment is made after eating. The restaurant is located in a strip mall plaza with enough parking, and even when busy, there is usually no wait to be seated. The interior is bright, can seat at least 40 people, and has a moderate noise level. Cleanliness is moderate; not the best but not dirty, though the restroom could be a little more clean.
The bone broth is tasty and considered the best option. The mild spicy is exactly as expected, allowing those who cannot handle spice to still enjoy it. The tomato broth is a bit too sweet. Many ingredients are available, including baby corn, fresh and frozen items, beef, lamb, seafood, and veggies. However, the beef was a bit fatty, and the mushrooms were slightly undercooked and crunchy. The food labels on the wall were not correct, and there were no separate tongs for different ingredients, which could cause cross-contamination. The service is good, with staff refilling water and being friendly. The alkaline water service is a nice touch. Overall, YinTang is considered one of the original and better spicy hot pot restaurants in the area, recommended for a good experience.
