“Stopped by Sobok Sobok for an afternoon snack and can see why it’s been around for so many years.

The coffee buns were fresh and soft with a light coffee aroma. I tried the assorted box and enjoyed how each flavor had its own character without being overly sweet. The cinnamon and yogurt white chocolate were my favorites.

The croffle was crispy on the outside, buttery inside, and paired really well with the pineapple ice cream.

I also ordered the Hibiscus Peach Tea. The peach tasted homemade rather than syrupy, and the tart hibiscus balanced the sweetness nicely. Refreshing and not too sugary.

The shop has a warm neighborhood feel, and the smell of freshly baked bread hits you as soon as you walk in. Definitely a great spot for a coffee break or to pick up pastries to take home.“

“My company used Crossroads for a very long project that required catering every weekday for over three weeks. Helen was quick on delivery, she was willing to work with us to add variation to the lunches and her prices could not be beat. The employees we were training highly complimented all the food. Sandwiches, wraps, tacos, bento bowls and salads. All of it was delicious. I cannot thank Helen a Crossroads enough for her hard work and wonderful food.“

“Stopped by on my way to work for my first visit, and I’m officially hooked! Found easy street parking right out front and ordered using the kiosk inside. It has a small interior and there were a few customers inside, however the worker was very quick with all our orders! I got a tiramisu iced latte, a matcha pastry, and a ham & cheese croissant sandwich, all three for just $8! You can’t beat that price point, especially given the quality. The coffee had a distinct tiramisu flavor, the pastry was perfectly balanced, and the sandwich was warm and crispy. Definitely going back!“

“Ok, this place is amazing…they do stuff other cafes don’t, like put coffee ice cubes in your drink so it doesn’t get watered down. They also have amazing drink items and food items that are literally all on-point. Try their phat cookies too which are so underpriced it’s redic - the plug got nothing on these… the owner is always experimenting too and totally open to feedback, true Whittier community member and spot!“

“Palermo Bakery has everything you need to feel like you are in Italy! From the welcoming staff the moment you walk through the door, to the decor, to the EXTENSIVE bakery items (that are beyond delicious!), to the pizza, to the coffee, there is truly not a bad choice on the menu! They even have a window to the kitchen so you (or your kids) can watch the magic happen in the kitchen. The first time I went there I was reminded of my Dad and my time in Palermo. They are also very COVID safe in case you are worried about venturing out and about. I would recommend the bakery to anyone needing a slice of Italy in Southern California! ❤️🇮🇹💚“

“Beautifully themed cafe. They have a nice selection of coffees, teas, refreshers, and desserts.

I forgot the special names of the drinks that we got, but I had a banana latte and it was so good! I got the biscoff latte for my wife and a strawberry refresher for my son.

Definitely have to stop by here anytime I have to make a trip to home depot.“

“This is a small, cozy cafe with only about 6–7 tables, so seating is limited, but there’s plenty of parking in the parking lot, which is always a big plus. Ordering is done through a kiosk, making the process quick and easy. Our food also came out pretty fast.

I ordered:

- Pork Loin Cutlet Curry Udon
- Japanese Omelette Sandwich
- Orange Americano Tonic

The Pork Loin Cutlet Curry Udon was my favorite. The pork cutlet was moist and tender, and the Japanese-style curry was flavorful and comforting. The udon had a really nice texture and was cooked perfectly. Definitely a satisfying combination!

The Japanese Omelette Sandwich was HUGE! I wasn’t expecting it to be that big, and it was definitely enough for a hearty meal or to share.

They also have a great variety of drinks, and you can customize the ice and sweetness level. I tried the Orange Americano Tonic, which was refreshing with a nice citrusy flavor and paired well with the curry.

Overall, I had a great first experience here. The food came out quickly, the portions were generous, price was decent, parking was easy, and everything I tried was enjoyable.

“Had lunch today at RKR (Restaurant at Kellogg Ranch after seeing the article in the Daily Bulletin. The lovely Mrs. C and I both had the hangar steak with roasted brussels sprouts and fries. I opted to have the fries upgraded to the truffle parmesan version. As with our previous visit, the food was excellent. The brussels sprouts were roasted with a great char and were tender instead of mushy or overly crispy. The parmesan truffle fries had finely shredded chesses and flecks of truffle evenly coating the fries. The last time I had truffle fries in a restaurant they had the parmesan but with a drizzle of truffle oil. This was a very pleasant surprise. The steak was sliced with a light peppercorn sauce which did not overpower the steak but added to it. Of course, the restaurant is a teaching venue with students from the Collins School of Hospitality so service was attentive and excellent. To our meal we each had a glass of a Syrah blend wine and we shared an apple crumble dessert with Fosselman's vanilla ice cream (yummy). The dining room overlooking the hills of Cal Poly with the 57 freeway barely visible in the distance was, as always, part of the appeal of this location. Price for our meal (before tip) was $91. A very good value for the quality of food and experience. I'm sure we'll be back soon.“

“Happened to accidentally come in during a vtuber event so the place was packed. Despite how busy it was, the maid rushed to the front door to greet us as soon as she saw us. She was very friendly and it almost felt like meeting a friend during their work shift.

“Plenty of places to sit inside. I don’t think I’ve been there and had to wait more than 5 minutes. The ladies are always nice. The French toast and menudo are worth the visit. They have a couple tvs and coffee comes around often enough or you just ask. They have flavored creamer for your coffee which is a plus. This is a regular when I’m in the area.“

“The place had delicious food. This place had many people coming in and was crowded during brunch time. I can see why so many people come here. The drinks and food are excellent but the seating was a bit of a challenge since it was quite noisy.“

“I tried a few of their drinks, and they were quite good. However, I noticed that they tend to add an excessive amount of ice. I’m not a fan of that because it makes the drink feel more like a slushie than a refreshing beverage. The ratio of ice to drink is about 70% ice and 30% drink.“

I was told they also have a chipotle sauce, so I went with that instead. When I got home, OH MY GOSH!! Those were the best chilaquiles I’ve ever had with the Chipotle sauce. “My wife and I stopped by Cafe Valer on a Sunday morning and were thoroughly impressed. The menu is extensive, the service is fast and friendly, and the entire space—inside and out—is spotless and well-kept.

We grabbed a table on the patio under the umbrellas. Portions are generous and the food is outstanding. My wife ordered the Chipotle Breakfast Avocado Panini with a Raw Sugar Caramel Shaken Iced Oat Milk Latte, and I had the Steak & Egg Burrito with a Strawberry Banana Smoothie. The strawberry waffle 🧇 was always my favorite. 😍 My husband and I went yesterday for breakfast and the strawberry 🍓 waffle were just as good as I remembered! A thin waffle covered in strawberries with a ring of whipped and in the center. The waffle absorbs the strawberries for a delicious taste in every bite. “I actually ordered their chicken and waffle for breakfast and not thinking this can be that great (because I didn't choose this place but my mom did 😬). However, to my surprise, the Belgium waffle was huge and has a very good texture with a special dough. And Man, that chicken thigh is something else! I love that chicken was marinated first, then fired (or baked) so it's juicy and not dry at all! Not to even mention the Hispanic servers there can speak Chinese so that's why they can draw my mom back (and now me)! 🤣 👏 Bravo Nano Cafe 👏“
