One of the best coffees I’ve ever had. I miss it :/ the food was too tier. Glad I found this spot when traveling to cali!
Stopped by on my way to work for my first visit, and I’m officially hooked! Found easy street parking right out front and ordered using the kiosk inside. It has a small interior and there were a few customers inside, however the worker was very quick with all our orders! I got a tiramisu iced latte, a matcha pastry, and a ham & cheese croissant sandwich, all three for just $8! You can’t beat that price point, especially given the quality. I absolutely love Yi’s Cafe! We come here every week because the food and drinks are always so good and the prices are very reasonable. The lattes are one of my favorites, especially with the cold foam. Their chicken pesto panini and tuna melt are also delicious. I also love that after spending a certain amount, you get a free muffin, which is such a nice little reward. The staff is friendly, the service is quick, and everything we’ve tried has been great. Yi's Cafe in Arcadia is a cute, cozy, and warm hidden gem with a mom and pop feel, though it is extremely tiny, cramped, and has awful visibility, making it hard to find. The shop is described as a big closet, functioning primarily as an order-and-leave spot with two tiny interior counters and two small patio tables. It offers customer internet, one electrical outlet, and hand sanitizer, but no restroom, with light pop music playing.
The coffee is absolutely delicious, high-quality, smooth, flavorful, and consistent. Standout drinks include the Spanish Latte with cinnamon and condensed milk, the Tiramisu Latte which is silky with a dark chocolate aftertaste, the Matcha Latte made to perfection, and the Vietnamese coffee. Prices are extremely low, affordable, and baffling, with all drinks at $4 or less, a stark contrast to similar coffee that could easily sell for $7+. Service is fast, efficient, kind, and attentive, with staff that remembers regular orders and treats everyone like part of a community.
Food options are also good and affordable. The chicken pesto sandwich and panini are great and filling, and the Hainan chicken plate has plentiful chicken, though the rice can be stale and dry. Pastries like the blueberry muffin and cinnamon muffin are deliciously hot, not too sweet, and have a nice sugar crust. A promotion offers a free pastry with every $10 spent. Parking requires street parking in the nearby neighborhood. Overall, Yi's Cafe is a highly recommended hidden treasure with amazing prices and quality.
