“Was craving for some quick hotpot on a cold day and this place definitely hit the spot I tried their stinky tofu hotpot and it did not disappoint. There's a decent amount of meat in there and other ingredients as well. I wish the broth was a bit stronger in terms of flavor but it was delicious. They have a sauce station where you get to put together your own sauce. Service was friendly and the food didn't take too long to come out. I actually prefer this over boiling point because of the less wait and the food is just as good, if not better.“
“The food and service have improved significantly since we dined in 2 years ago. Everything we ordered, from combination fried rice, sausage rice to joy pot, were excellent and big portions. Milk tea is consistently good and tastes like authentic tea not some fake powdery stuff. Staff were great and food came out quickly. We will visit there more often.“
“I've been going here for years and use to get their popcorn chicken over rice but the last few times I've gotten it, the popcorn chicken were super large pieces and I don't think all the pieces were fully cooked. (Eek) Now my go to is the ground pork and mushroom dry noodles with thick noodles. Add some spicy to it and it's perfect! My husband really likes their red grain pork. The space is small but they do have a few tables outside, if it's full inside. The Staff are friendly and normally really quick to address anything you need. Recommend if you're looking for a decent Taiwanese meal in the area.“
“Saturday 2/24/24 Lunch at Yumi Time in City of Industry. Trying out this Taiwanese style foods restaurant. The foods I’ve ordered was delicious. Braised chicken with gravy, veggies, eggs Sunnyside up, meatballs soup, and white rice. The flavors and spices were made just right and tasty without any over bearing taste of a particular spice. I’ve enjoyed the meal: the meatball soup with a little raw diced celery add crunch and unique flavor. The meatballs tasted really good without any cheap fillers. The braised chicken was perfectly spiced with their awesome gravy on the side for the chicken and rice to brings the foods to the next level.Alex, restaurant manager, and a female staff were friendly and attentive.Word of advice to restaurant owner(s): the foods were delicious, however, there can be an improvement to gain more business. I felt the portion of rice should be increase. Here is the reason why. For your customers who has a good appetite (including myself) due to the less (not enough) portion of the rice included in the meal, the customer won’t feel satisfied and may have to go elsewhere to eat more. When spending about $15-$20 for a meal, it should be a one stop restaurant to feel satisfied. If not, customers won’t be returning to the restaurant. Provide a little more rice to the meal; it is inexpensive and can provide a word of mouth advising for your restaurant.Restaurant is open from 11am-3:00pm, 6 days a week. These are mostly lunch hours. Please expand your hours to include lunch and or dinner so more customers can go and give you business. I attempted to go to dinner one evening and found that it was closed.I recommend trying out this restaurant. I will be going back to try the other dishes on the menu.David YoungRestaurant Enthusiast“
“Many bakery items origned from Europe including the salty and the sweet items. Ones can find some special snacks from Taiwan and also more homemade fresh desserts. The other reason I recommend is the breakfast combo with both the drink and the sandwich ?.“
“One of my go-to places in the area. Simple. Solid personal hotpot. I always get the t-rex lamb sukiyaki with ponzu sauce. Love that they have this extra meat option. Everything comes out fairly quickly. There's plenty amount of veggies. The lamb has a slight gamey taste, but it's still just so delicious.“
“Great authentic Taiwanese foods. Definitely one of the closest to the taste you would get in Taiwanese. Come here for the food and not the service. Not a huge restaurant by any means so I would try to beat the rush. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking to try a taste of Taiwan.Parking: Parking is usually easy to find, not too much going on in this strip mall“
“I went to buy takeout on chinese new year. the long queue of lines compared to the restaurant next door was a telling sign the food here must be good. We ordered the beef chow fun and fish fillets. They were still warm and tasty by the time I brought it home. My parents liked the food at this location. We definitely want to come back here to try more of the dishes when we have another family gathering. The waiter that helped take my order was kind even with all the chaos of the chinese new year. My order took a little bit longer to come back due to the large crowds but I was able to run other errands and come back for my food on time when my food was ready.“
“Same comments as I have for the MP Location:I know Cocary doesn't always get the best reviews. Some of it is probably service related, some of it is from the age of the venue and that there have not been many updates made since they opened. However, I have been going to Cocary on and off since I was about 6/7, since before they were at this location and started down the street. For me, it's been consistent. I know what I'm craving when I go and I know what I'm going to get.My go tos are veggies and mushrooms in the soup with the occasional pork blood cubes. Lamb for BBQ on the grill portion. Usually white rice but the occasional craving for the yam congee. I can usually go through 2-3 plates of the lamb and just whatever veggies I have room for that day.One of my favorites is the broth. I will usually sit there and go through 3-4 bowls of broth each time I'm there. Two complaints that I do have, it's hard to keep the grill portion of the cooktop hot enough to get color on the meat while also not hard boiling everything in the pot. If the soup becomes too condensed, then I just add some water so it doesn't get too salty. And on a hot summer day, the AC isn't on very high in the dining room. It usually set to 82-84 and eating hot pot causes sweat but I still go anyways lol. Just drink enough ice water and eat quick.I know that sometimes when it gets busy, it takes a while for them to round back to the table for service. I don't mind getting things like water, broth or extra bowls and plates on my own since they are out in the open area and easily accessible for guests. Since you already have to cook the food yourself, I don't mind self-service add-ons either.I also tend to go for lunch when there is a discount. So I can usually fill my belly and go home happy at around $25.Definitely a place I will be visiting often.“
“Food: - pork chop meal: 7/10, pork chop was tender and deboned, came with 2 sides (lettuce and mapo tofu) and minced pork rice - unlimited teas! Service: - friendly wait staff - freshly made meal (a bit of wait time but not too long, around 10-15 minutes) Ambiance: - homey - lots of parking“
“While I do miss their old tea room, I do think this new boba shop format will be much more successful for them! There are plenty of seats for dining in with free parking! The hot pot was flavorful and filling, but would pass on the grapefruit green tea for another milk tea based drink.“
“this place does not sell tea. despite its name. i think its under new ownership and needs a new name.they have some soup noodles, rice and dumpling dishes. i had a sour pickled meat soup noodle dish that i devoured and it tasted on point. my friend got the 'minced pork' with egg veggie and rice and it looked yummy too. there's only one person doing everything, so service is a bit slow. plenty of spaces to sit and eat. overall, enjoyed my meal here!“
“Suitable for students and work meals. Cheap and a good choice to fill your stomach. But don't expect anything else. Without delicious dishes, there is no high-quality service.Spend a few bucks to supplement some food to keep you alive, and that’s it.“
“The food was great the pork and cabbage dumplings with soy sauce were bomb. Ordered both bafang signature ramen and another spicy ramen but they both tasted almost the same and almost no spicy so if you add more chili sauce that they provide be generous with it to get the spice. I also got the mini wonton soup which was also really good, the wontons were perfect no complaints and the broth was a great compliment to the wontons. If you like more flavor fry mixing in the chili sauce and some ginger sauce that they have in and trust it elevates it a lot. Their soy mango drink is also really good not too sweet and I added boba which went really good with it. 9/10 would definitely go again but not so much for the ramen because there want enough spice to call it spicy and both spicy ramens tasted the same.“
