As a Chengdu native who has tried countless Sichuan restaurants searching for a taste of home in the past years. This place is the real deal and the chef is 200% a Sichuan chef.
It’s hard to put into words how special it was to finally taste dishes that are 100% authentic to my hometown. Every single classic dish we ordered hit the mark. If you’re looking for genuine, high-quality Sichuan cuisine, I can’t recommend this place enough!

This is the best Sichuan food I've ever had! Very authentic! The waiters and chefs are all from Sichuan, and the food they make is very authentic, not a modified version.
The food here tastes just like what I've had in China, it's fantastic! I'm really looking forward to trying more Sichuan food here! Although the decor looks simple, even a bit basic, the food is truly amazing, all made to order!

Cna always tell it's a good chinese restaurant by 1. The total lack of investment in interior design and 2. How local the chefs and clientele are. This place is two for two. The chefs including the servors are sichuanese through and through. The people who eat here make orders in sichuanese directly. And the place has the barest white walls and the most basic of tables of chairs.

Sichuan Sizzling is a restaurant hiding in the very back of a plaza, serving very legit Yunnan and Sichuan food that is addictive. As a Chengdu native who has tried countless Sichuan restaurants searching for a taste of home, this place is the real deal and the chef is 200% a Sichuan chef. Every single classic dish ordered hit the mark, and the food is 100% authentic to the hometown. This is the best Sichuan food, very authentic, not a modified version. The waiters and chefs are all from Sichuan, and the food tastes just like what has been had in China. The decor looks simple, even a bit basic, with the barest white walls and the most basic of tables and chairs, but the food is truly amazing, all made to order. The chefs including the servers are Sichuanese through and through, and the people who eat here make orders in Sichuanese directly. Almost everything was nice and flavorful, fairly authentic, and tasted even better as leftovers the next day once they really soaked in the chili oil. The water cooked beef, the twice fried pork, and the liver are recommended. The Home Style Pork Feet with Lima Beans ($18.99) had very tender and flavorful pork feet, and the lima beans added a nice texture; the soup was especially delicious, and the dipping sauce reminded of what was had in Chengdu. The Twice-Cooked Pork ($16.99) was excellent, the pork wasn't too fatty and was very flavorful, especially with the green peppers. The Chengdu Pork Blood Cubes in Red Pepper Broth ($21.99) were also very good. The Sauteed Winter Melon with Chicken Fat ($13.99) was great as well. Overall, Sichuan Sizzling really exceeded expectations, with quality and authenticity of the Sichuan-style food, fast service, and fair prices. During peak hours, service felt a bit rushed and some dishes took longer than expected, but overall, still a good spot and worth trying.
